R-Spec? Nope. It's a limited edition that is supposed to be a homage to the Boss 302 Laguna Seca Edition. The standard GT can be ordered without the graphics pack but the R-Spec adds changes to the suspension and wider tyres which are somewhat necessary to transfer the power to the ground.

The R-Spec graphics pack has also been applied to the ute but the Pursuit doesn't get the mechanical changes.

I stand corrected. I wish those were Falcons sold here in the US. I would sell both my Cobra and Subaru for one.

I've been so close several times to getting into the nitty gritty of buying an FPV F6 or GS. Unfortunately their value doesn't deteriorate half as much as the normal Falcons do so it's a little bit difficult.

The F6 I still maintain as being the best thing that Australia's ever produced (though the VF Commodore as a whole is a very worthwhile proposition for that too). Mostly because the drivetrain combo of the boosted 6 and ZF 6-speed auto is just so well sorted for the car.

Those boosted 6 Falcons are very cool. Even being a V8 guy I can see the appeal of the drivetrain. Heck I would even get just one of the non FPV Falcons. Our TT SHO just doesn't appeal to me the way the Falcon does.

The normal XR6 Turbo runs the same basic Barra engine as the F6 310, downtuned of course but still get a very handy 360hp and 393lb-ft of torque. Easily modifiable and reliable. The old XR8s used to have the 5.4L V8 but I believe the Coyote V8 from the FPVs is going to get filtered down to the last Falcon before they get scrapped in 2016.

Cool, I had a feeling that it had something to do with the boss 302 mustang. I always wanted ford to sell the Aussie falcons in the US, but they won't ever go for it. It would be a better replacement for the crown vic than that interceptor we have now imo.

Agreed. They should have not even bothered with the new Taurus and just did Falcons. If the Taurus isn't a Accord/Camry killer why bother with FWD?

I really don't see any reason for ford not too, GM is going to sell the Holden Commodore here again as a Chevrolet SS sedan and not many people are liking the look of it here. It would give Ford a great opportunity to show GM up.

The old Ford.

Ford Crown Vic. I have no use for a Full Size Suv.

Alfa Romeo 4C Base for sure. I have been counting down till Alfa comes back to the US.

Ford Crown Victoria vs Chevrolet Tahoe; Crown Vic, I also have no use for a SUV at the moment.

Alfa 4C Spyder vs Lotus Elise vs Elfin MS8 vs Caterham 7; I'm picking the Lotus Elise, just because I for some reason like it.

Australian-made low-volume sports car with a tuned LS1 and a kerb weight of about 1050kg. Definitely the porker in this company but the power-to-weight's still off the scale. They also made a Clubman version that weighs 975kg but I couldn't find one for sale.

Interesting thanks for the info.

No problem.

I'd also take the 4C, with the Caterham being a fairly close second. Elise is nice but I don't like what they've done with the new front end, and while the Elfin has its charms as a powerhouse it ain't an eye-pleaser. Striking, especially in the metal, but not exactly beautiful.

How in the world does a Carbon-monocoque Alfa cost less than an Elise, woah.
Alfas trick manufacturing process really is working it seems.

In any case give me the Alfa.

Super Sedans: XFR-S all day.

Light cars; Caterham easily.

Astra, it's the newest one and the best looking. I also, don't like the suzuki liana or chevrolet lacetti (Suzuki forenza in the US) musch, the Kia is alright, but the Vauxhall still seems like the better option imo.

Great comparo idea, I have a soft spot for these kind of cars. I will definitely take the Elise, it's just so special. The Alfa doesn't really capture the point of lightweight cars, I don't think. The Caterham just can't be used on the streets and the Elfin isn't much of a looker. Elise all the way!

Also, can anyone explain to me how that 2007 car is more expensive than all of those other, newer cars?
