It was a salvaged car from the recent Japan earthquake.
I get that but the Lexus LFA is a $400,000 supercar, same with the GT-R, although it's only $100,000, so I don't get why they would be turned into drift cars. Silvia's and RX-7's are one thing but taking these purpose built speed machines and turning them into drift cars is just not something I would ever do.

The LFA would have been scrapped, because it was totaled by flood damage. Wouldn't it be better to find a way to use it than just leaving it there to rust?

I get that but, why drifting? Surely the LFA would have been better suited as a GT Racing Car.
