'X' the Focus, Alfa, Cruze and MB.
The Auris: Too generic. Pass.
The Civic design is not solid enough for me(in that pic anyway).
The A3 doesn't have that A4/A6/A8 pedigree like when 80/90/100/V8 names changed.
The Mazda3 has the look, interior and is packaged right. Just needs and MPS ;) in the mix.
The 1-series: The new lights got me. RWD fun. A rwd hatch? I'll take that.
 
My first choice would be the A-Class, best looking hatch on sale imo. The Mazda 3 gets an honourable mention.
