He stopped on the track on his 2nd lap ... I'm hoping it's not another engine failure :scared:

westwood
he always skips a practice, it helps save his car.
You're thinking of Alonso ;) ... Kimi stopped on track , mechanical issue, doesn't look like it's engine related though.

Oh noes, I just read about it on a finnish site, they say it might be the gearbox!

edit: They're chancing Kimi's engine again. Crap. :grumpy:

Yeah in just under an hour.

Damnit Mercedes! Make a reliable engine, your new spec engine was no good last week, your old spec engine is apparantly no good this week. Because of Mercedes this championship is slipping away from Kimi. They should just de-tune the engine if it keeps having these problems, there is alot of speed in the McLaren chassis.

Damn! :grumpy:

They could always buy customer engines from a reliable team... :P

Max Mosely just said there on the interview on ITV that we'd be going back to full slicks in 2008, but that we'd need to reduce the downforce. Putting emphasis on mechanical grip rather than aero grip is something I'd really like to see, sooner rather than later.

Button seem's to have fueled light in an attempt to take pole, but has been thwarted by an amazing lap by Alonso, he and Kimi both did 1.19's, Alonso looks like he might run away with it tomorrow, however, it may be worth noting his team mate Fisichella was over 2 seconds slower, so its quite possible ALonso is light too.

Well what a difference a day makes, kimi's engine blows, now he is starting in 12th and all of a sudden the Renault (Alonso's anyway) is the car to beat. Interesting how Fisi is over a second down on Alonso, that isnt just bad luck.
Button is light and tried to go for glory..... but it didn't work!

BTW Mercedes is definetly not on my Christmas card list at the moment!

Kimi qualifying 2nd, impressive, pity he'll fall back to 12th. He'll pull the same tricks as last week and come away with 2nd. It's a shame too, he has been obviously faster all weekend.

yep definately looks to be a repeat. hopefulyl kimi can get through the field quicker and give us a show this time.

Yeah, I suspect it will be an interesting battle between Kimi and Michael Schumacher in the first stint.

Blake

I expect a good race for Rubens tomorrow. Too bad Fisi is by his side on the grid, the Renault will pwn him on the start.

Slick Rick
Dont you remember in Bahrain? Hes fast, but useless in overtaking. He needs more practice.

Just like Sato. Except Sato isn't fast. I love when he tries to overtake, braking to late and going for a trip in the pad. :D It's hilarious!
