I see your point, but a new, nice looking car is different from one that's been completely "riced" out, or an Avalanche that has been raised to extreme levels. I guess what I'm trying to say is that a car that has been modified to perform a specific task isn't necissarily as good as just a "new" car.

I have a uncle-in-law who bought a "lanche". He is middle aged, bald and wears a wig, is divorced, can't hold down a job for long, and lives by himself in a small town, has no social life... basically a looser.

But he went an bought one of those stupid things and has a payment that's like a mortgage. He will never take it off road. But it does snow where he lives  This was his justification.

I just wanna say to him, "Dude, get over your mid-life crisis and get a real truck if you must have one."

I hate drastically modified vehicles, too. Some trucks are so jacked up you couldn't actually take them anywhere, and the axles are still only so high.

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee, totally stock. I have never come accross anything it couldn't handle, but then I am reasonable.

But the point is I got a 4X4 so I could go camping in the mountains and get away on the weekends and stuff. All these SUVs and "lanches" and monster trucks never got off pavement. It's fine because if they all did it would truly suck for those of us who like to get away, but it is pretty lame.

I wish I could afford a 4X4 and a nice road car.
