Well, the race started with the protos going well over 50 mph on the straight way before the line. It caught me out, and the aggressive pack was on me and I was falling back in T1, and on exit I got a big hit from behind and sustained engine damage. Later a prototype dived in on my inside from way back in the very fast T6, spinning me, and a few laps later got nailed from behind by Jamsy under braking into the corkscrew. Not even half way into the race and I had enough. The Alpine was really hairy to drive here, if I tried to push too hard I would get costly oversteer or go wide. Shame, because I think I had my best ever qualifying lap in the series today, that 39.3 in the Alpine.

Sorry man, I got caught out by the cold tyres, I thought the car would pull up in time so I dived to stop a full on rear end... It was a complete accident...

41.1 was my fastest with draft all around the track. 42.6 was a good lap from me, 4 seconds off the pace isn't funny really, but I guess it's not a Mustang track.
I'd say it's not a Mustang series. The car isn't very good: hard to drive, the worst on fuel and pace ranges between average and poor depending on the track.

The Jag is pretty slow on a fair few tracks, but at least that car is very competitive on tracks with long straights (La Sarthe and Pescara) and it's good on fuel/tires.

No problem, it happens. 👍

Lap 50. At the Corkscrew. Yeratel makes the pass on me to take the win.

My apologies to Akmuq and Chris for getting caught up in my lack of talent. Seems we all suffered there.

But for a track I absolutely detest, to go from plum last to third in class will do for me.

Was taking a look at the replay to confirm which lap Joe DC'ed and was able to take this photo of his car just before it vanished... (BTW this is at the Corkscrew)

Without Prejudice

Earlier tonight after the WSC race, Furi asked me if I had anything to “bitch about”. I told him that I had not. That was on a personal level, but on behalf of the GT drivers I have.

Yet again tonight a GT driver was taken out due to a PT driver, caught up in a personal race. This driver decided to quit the race probably because of the damaged caused, more likely in annoyance.

Furi said earlier “Daytona was revenge of the GT drivers. They did nothing wrong. PT guys, cut down the aggression. Laguna's a narrow track, don't make a mistake, or consequences will be huge. So WATCH IT!” but yet it happened again tonight.

Now it’s up to the GT driver involved to pursue further action, but this kind of driving cannot continue. If it indeed does continue then the series should be split and hosted by drivers of the classes involved.

What say you Furi?

If you refer to Lout, I was a full two car widths away from him on inside of track whilst he was middle outside, and he went lagging off.

The car that just won the Gran Turismo trophy at Pebble Beach.

Fox, it was one move in what must have been closing in on 60 overtakes for the PT's. Yes I made contact but I apologised. He didn't quit due to that... And GT weren't squeaky clean either I was repeatedly chopped up by GT cars on straights causing me to take avoiding action... You say you don't want us to draft when you guys suddenly move across our noses. You are supposed to move in a consistent direction, if you are on the left on a straight don't swoop to the right when a PT is coming past on the right...

What I think he is trying to get at is that it was mentioned last week but it happened again. I don't think it was a personal attack at you Plux. We all make mistakes and im sure you didn't do it intentionally 👍

I also think that GT drivers need to check their mirrors more regularly, I made the mistake of cutting across Furi tonight because I didn't check my mirrors. After that I was regularly checking my mirrors and moving clear if a battle was coming (eg Yera and Panoz).

Heart attack moment indeed :scared: , and everything Orama said 👍

I'm always fair unless I don't have control of the car as I was earlier I was nearly sideways in front of one of the PT cars coming into T10

I remember that and as such held back to make sure we didn't end up with damage... but to be honest the sheer amount of overtakes on GT drivers (and the time lost and gained from that), was to me what made this such a fun event...
