Just too many crashes tonight only managed 5th in class due to DK crashing on around 6 consecutive laps, had the pace to beat fox but errors cost me dear, not sure if I could of challenged for a podium position as I was a few seconds behind them when I occurred my first bit of damage

4th will do for me at The Ring as I'd expected much worse. I had quite a few unforced errors. I fell off at the same corner half a dozen times I think, three of those on consecutive laps.

Not overly fussed about this track, but made the best of a bad job.

would have made my race a lot more interesting if you hadn't had the errors, I think we were pretty well even on pace. Yera and Lout were way too fast anyway, 3rd was best the Camaro could do. Le Mans will be closer.

Congrats on the win Lout!

I actually had slight damage on my left-front for the first six laps, but strangely it wasn't ruining my race. The final six laps had to be one of the longest hours in my life. I just wanted to finish this crap. After lap 15, I couldn't take it any more. What looked like a certain 4th had degenerated into a miserable, worthless 6th. 👎

Let's head to the LeMans and the Classic. :D As for The Ring, its my worse race track. so it happens.

The first 3 races of WSC VI goes like this:

  1. Daytona- Snow (Jaguar) / Yeratel (Lamborghini)
  2. Monza- Panoz (Ford) / Fox (Corvette)
  3. Nurburgring- Lancer (Ferrari) / Lout (Alpine)
Any questions about endurance racing not being competitive?

8 PT's in at La Sarthe next week. Every one of them can win. And GT is just nuts as well.

3 different winners in 3 races in both categories and also 3 different manufacturers as well which shows how competitive this series is and how well @Furinkazen specs the cars, even though my Lancia hasn't won yet

I'll take credit for PT, but @FordMKIVJ5 and @snowgt have had a huge role in shaping GT class. And fact is we still pull 12+ car grids with 17 currently registered for Le Mans next week, even at this stage of GT5 life. Seems a long time since 6 car races at Spa in WSM.....

That would of been the season before I joined, the 1st season as I made my debut at Spa in a Ferrari in WSM II if I recall correctly

I don't even remember what season it was.

All I remember is that it was Spa in a Ferrari and I was terrible and I was running a turbo in the car as I didn't know what the specs were.

I'm guessing you don't have the spreadsheet with the results due to you having to change laptops

Having spreadsheet but not replays for results since my Gt5 data went.

Well, that was not my finest hour last night. It started off well though with a good qualifying lap that put me on pole, and I also held it together for two laps and a bit, but then I accelerated in second gear with two wheels on the grass and off I went. Hobbling back to the pits cost me about 1.5 minutes. I then managed to damage my car again on the out-lap, but I chose to fight it for another 5 laps although the steering wheel was pointing severely to the right. Mysteriously, I was swept into the lead for a lap again at the end of that stint, but this was the last I saw of it. I didn't keep track of how often I went off getting damaged - must have been 6 or 7 times. There was one more incident like the first one, which cost me another 1.5 minutes, and the car's steering never felt anymore like it actually was repaired. I was 3:20 behind the leaders, so 3rd was all I could hope for at that point anyway.

Going home with the podium, pole and fastest lap is really not that bad though, when I think about it.

Congrats to Lancer and Panoz for driving a great race, and Lout for the repeat-win at the Ring!

These heavy damaged races are so demanding and i have done them only few times. It's always so hard to me to adjust lap pace to so that i could stay in the track and not get damaged. In Ring it's more important than anywhere else - it's so long way to pits. I did get damaged four times and that messed up my strategy for the race. Lucky we didn't get rain that would done my race even more worse :)
I did try to adjust my pace everytime after pitstop but after while i always start get more speed and bum hit the wall again. It was fun to pass Snow and Furi when they had damaged but when i get damaged it wasn't fun at all to see how they pass me :)
I'll try do better in LeMans...

Congrats to all drivers who join the race and survived :)

Seems I´m missing some very good sport so far and very likly for the rest of the Year.
Had a very good Basketball game yesterday (28pointz 3of3 from distance and 7of8 Freethrows) unluckily it will be the last for me till next year.
Some fool ended my game and my season... he broke my left hand and thumb (I´m a lefthander)
=> I´m out till GT6 comes out which I preordered Saturday (hopefully I can play the game during the holidays)

Above is p****ng me off (sorry for swearing), because I´m totally competitive in the GT class espacially at Nordschleife.
Would have been a blast to race you guys here.
Hope I have a good and fast recovery maybe I can race one of the final races again.

🤬 just got real.

Thanks to all who congratulated me on the win, well done to Lancer too! 👍

That was the one race I was hoping to win, its such a challenge. If I can win at Le Mans I shall be finishing off GT5 very happy indeed.

Great post Panoz, looking forward to GT6 even more now!
