Thanks to all who congratulated me on the win, well done to Lancer too! 👍

That was the one race I was hoping to win, its such a challenge. If I can win at Le Mans I shall be finishing off GT5 very happy indeed.

Great post Panoz, looking forward to GT6 even more now!

I totally forgot to congratulate everyone as we all finished and especially Lout and Lancer who won their classes. Well done all 👍

Well Panoz, I can certainly make out some constellations there

Possible contenders for WSCVII ?

Just got home, but was on mobile app looking. Will draw up a detailed WSC post here tomorrow night. In mean time, feel free to speculate.

Excited to see the line-up you're considering Furi, lots to choose from. I'll speculate a lot for sure. :D

*grabs keys to the SS 396 Nova and goes does burnouts all over the track*

Candidates:
Chevrolet Nova SS '70
Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto CN.2521 '61
Ferrari 250 GTO CN.3729GT '62
Ferrari 365 GTB4 '71
Ferrari Dino 246 GT '71
Ford GT40 Mark I '66
Plymouth AAR Cuda 340 Six Barrel '70
Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe '64

For next season I think the majority of GT cars should get specced up. More choice 👍

If you go up in performance, you will lose some at the bottom. It's always a tradeoff. But there's no sense in having too big a field of allowed cars anyway. And I do agree that GT's could be a little faster. Maybe also use same tyres as PT's...?

Alrighty. So we had some great news. Here I will post up ALL cars which have been in WSC to date and potential candidates. Then we can see the performance pool we got to pick from.

Current/Past WSC/WSM cars:

AC Cobra 427 (Built as a 289 replica in WSC)
Alfa Romeo Guilia TZ2
Alpine A110
Chapparal 2D (WSC Troll King)

Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RM
Corvette C2 Z06 (Race car, the troll of C2 class)
Corvette C3 Stingray
Dodge Challenger RM
Ferrari 330 P4

Ford Mk IV
Jaguar E Type (GT5 was intended a "Lightweight" replica)
Jaguar XJ13
Lamborghini Miura
Lancia Stratos
Shelby Mustang GT350R

Never Raced / Unfinished / Rejected cars:
Alpine A310 VE (was considered, specs identical to A110)
Ford Mustang Mach 1 (Was a toss up between Shelby Mustang and this)
Ginetta G4
Lotus Europa Special
Marcos Mini GT
Mercedes 300SL
Nissan Skyline 2000GTR
Toyota 2000GT

NEW cars from GT6 up for consideration:
Aston Martin DBR1. (This years Pebble Beach winner - potential DLC?)
Abarth 1500 Biposto Bertone B.A.T 1 (Classic TC?)
Alpine A110 1600S (Different spec from standard Alpine)
BMW 507 (Classic TC contender)
Chevrolet El Camino SS 396
Chevrolet Nova SS
Corvette Coupe (C2)
Corvette StingRay Racer Concept
Dino 246 GT (The Dino was never officially classified as a Ferrari, was it's own badge if I recall)
Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta
Ferrari 250 GTO (The 250 in either form is a must)
Ferrari 365 GTB4
Ford GT40 Mark I (Will be in. Somehow.
Lotus Europa S.2 ’68 (Europa Special struggled, this might do depending on classification)
Mazda RX500 (Rotary powered breadvan)
Oldsmobile Toronado (Jay Leno tuned. Interested)
Plymouth AAR Cuda 340 Six Barrel
Plymouth XNR Ghia Roadster ’60 (Pebble Beach winner.)
Pontiac Firebird Trans Am ’78
Shelby GT350 ’65 (NOT the GT350R)
Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe (Sure fire contender)
Lunar Roving Vehicle LEV-001 ’71 (Ok, trolling here)

Potential class options:
PT will remain premier class. Options are for a return to C2 class, or a inbetween class bridging gap between C2 / GT. Some classic TC's possible for a spin off.

That Corvette Stingray Race car concept would do a very good job a tempting me away from the Alpine ;)

I think as long as there's a diverse choice between big V8 powered cars and smaller engined/lightweight cars, WSC on GT6 will be amazing.

Talking of Le Mans, this is the poster I have in my room from my 2009 race programme.

One of the reasons I went with the Alpine. Bonus point to anyone who can guess why ;)

I've uploaded a different version of the same picture, working now?

NEW cars from GT6 up for consideration:
Lotus Europa S.2 ’68 (Europa Special struggled, this might do depending on classification)

Probably would be worse considering it's an earlier year, and the earlier the year the slower it was. Maybe there will be better tuning availability to get it a boost.

Mazda RX500 (Rotary powered breadvan)

I call dibs on this one. First saw it, and I knew I would try to race it in the WSC. :D

In order to be able to include as many of this list as possible and to keep with the spirit of 2-class racing … why not make two different 2-class series? The faster one could include PT's and a C2 class that would be similar to the current GT class, but with more power, so the more powerful cars by default need not be restricted as much, and the slower series could offer a GT class and a TC class.

There's more cars that could be considered for TC's, e.g.:
Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 '65
Renault R8 Gordini '66
BMW 2002 Turbo '73
Mazda Cosmo Sport '67 & '68
Nissan Fairlady 2000 (SR311) '68
Toyota Celica 1600GT (TA22) '70
Triumph Spitfire 1500 '74

GT class maybe...
Nissan Fairlady 240ZG (HS30) '71

The great thing about this would be that it would be easier to fit every car in an appropriate class, I think.

2 tiers in one form or another are in the works. But at same time, I do not want to throw everything in at once. Save some up for later seasons ;)

Confirmed for Le Mans.

Also, I think the GT-R KPGC10 should be among those considered for this proposed TC class.
