Can't believe it's finally over after nearly 2 years for me, joined TOCA at the end of 2011 and after 304 races, 5 wins and 42 podiums places over a variety of different cars and specs. I've enjoyed it immensely and without @Furinkazen giving up time and energy to spec the cars and run the events over a sustained period of time, it couldn't be done without him and I thank him for that. I've also had a number of immense battles during the time and I would like to thank everyone that I have raced with even if they have annoyed me at times.

Guys, got one last treat being lined up. Just retrieving 700 images off my PS3 first onto USB :)

To @FlyingFox , @snowgt , @gtpanoz , @DrifterJoe @ranhammerR34 @R0ssingt0n @chrisjohnson93 , @Downhill Dino , @DK , @jammy21 @Yeratel84 and the already long gone @Osr20_L  , thank you all!

A final video compilation of GT5 pictures will be released later this week!

 for the racing guys, and everyone else from the last two years!

:gtpflag:

That was the first race in a while where I actually had fun. It was a shame that I was in an uncompetitive car, it was really hurting me in the corners - when the track wetness was at 100%, I needed to take Pouhon at 120km/h and Eau Rouge at 160. :indiff: I felt as if I had very little grip, which was a shame as I was capable of staying within 2s/lap of the leading GTs in the dry. :(

As is my tradition, I've named my Alpine "Adrienne", even though she's been a right bitch to me.

I think I was in a Jag for that race, too.

Wow... I want to take this opportunity to thank @Furinkazen for letting me race even though I had so many incidents in the past. As for today, it went really well. :) Even though I was next to last, I still finished 52/62 laps. :D Great job by everyone, see ya in GT6. ;)

Actually, the MkIV used an American chassis, I'm pretty sure.

EDIT: Since we're all posting pretty pictures:

Me and possibly Braun on the final lap at Pescara a couple seasons back.

Cough... Lola chassis...

Nope. First and only all American team/car/drivers to win Le Mans.

The MKI was based on a Lola MK6 and developed in England. The MKI was then taken to Shelby and modified in America into the MKII. And the MKIV is a completely American car.

It's the only video I've come across where I've actually learnt something about it. There are barely any decent ones out there.

Plus I'm not surprised you've seen it mate

Unfortunately it's not a very well known car, everyone has heard of the GT40 (specifically the John Wyer Gulf ones) but not many know of the MKIV. Unfortunately there is also a lot of misinformation out there as well.

This is another good video the Henry Ford Museum did on the repairs that were done after it was damaged going to Goodwood:

I'd like to take the time to thank @Furinkazen for running what I can only describe as the premier racing series on GTP.
I have always described WSC as "The Gentlemans Championship" and this season has proved just that.

No one rage quit, no one argued they just got on with the racing at hand and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Well done Furi and well done to all those who took part.
Long live WSC :gtpflag:

How is it going everyone, It's been a while.

I'm kind of sad because I have been busy and I didn't have enough time to take part in any race of WSC VI. I really had so much fun in the previous 2 seasons.
I'd like to thank @Furinkazen for organizing and hosting the championship, and for everyone else who took part.

As for my best memories, WSC IV was my personal favorite, I really enjoyed driving the Alfa and having battles with Orama.

Looking forward to the next one on GT6!

Sincerely,
Majed

I love that picture so much. The whole concept of WSC opens itself to creativity and art. Flowing V12 raspy Ferrari's, big block V8 chunky Fords, little Alpine's, Grumbling muscle cars, british submarine (HMS Jag ;) ) - the scale of the races, i've always tried to take a good picture.

For GT6 I want a new art direction. Whilst for GT6 it is a clean slate of paper specs wise and regs wise, the backbone emphasis of challenging, fun, endurance racing will continue.

...........And I'm back in the game.... My new laptop screen arrived today and I just fitted it.

All I ask is that @Furinkazen does not close this thread, at least not yet!
