That "Never race alone" quote has me a little worried. Please don't do what EA is doing and make this always online. :nervous:
Wouldn't surprise me one bit. They let it rest for a while after the backlash and are probably trying to sneak it in again now. But that's my tin foil hat talking of course :)

Wouldn't everyone need a live gold account in order to play?

I think Never race alone refers to Drivatards.
I cant believe they are still persisting with "drivatards" as you put it lol, Just program great AI instead of them mimicking 2 million dreadful drivers who have very little interest in racing clean.

Drivatars were strange and never got a real chance as they were often put in crap cars with crap tuning in a 3 lap race. There were drivatars which were very fast and skilled. They need to alter the algorithm so on the hardest difficulty it will assign the top leader board drivatars (top 100). They are another factor that screamed "rushed for launch."

I don't necessarily mind Drivatars, but T10 needs to place better restrictions on their behavior. Good luck getting a whole field of Indy Car drivers to actually follow a racing line or not bottleneck through a tight turn.

The spontaneity of Drivatars is great, but they lack discipline.

I just really hope they improve the physics and controls for this game. I wonder if they will do their 30Hz trick on the weather effects, that will look very strange if they do.

And Pacific Shipyards from Forza 1 as well haha. :)

I'm pretty sure that Prague and Bernese Alps will return, though. I raced the 🤬 out of these two tracks on my Lotus F1 in FM5! Wouldn't be too bad to see a racetrack inspired by Horizon 2, either!
By the way, can you just imagine Prague and Bernese Alps at night, with a field of LM Prototypes?! Oh. My. God, that would be so awesome.

Indeed! It'll be just as awesome if Bernese Alps snowed at both day/night too. That'll be so freakin' EPIC! I'm literally shaking in excitement even more now! :D

Finally, looks incredible (50 FPS is a mistake I'd guess), the track count does seem a bit low.

Man PD are in trouble here.

That track count would be more than FM5 but also pretty standard. That would be locations, not total track layouts.

Oh yes, man! I really can't wait for Microsoft's E3 conference: we'll have the official announcement of both Forza 6 and, hopefully, the much-rumored Porsche Expansion Pack for Horizon 2! I'm even creating a music playlist for Forza 6 to pass the time!

E3 really does seem like Forza's time to shine. With great new content for the existing game and knockout new features in the main game, it's gonna have a lout of clout.

I don't see what's people problem with Drivatars. They were an absolute mess in the beginning, but they're improving constantly, especially on FH2 where I've seen them behave properly (in a street racing game, which makes it all the more surprising). They just need to fine-tune the algorythms that turn people's driving tendencies in behavioral models for the AI to follow.

As for the whole discussion on dynamic weather... pCars can do it (well, kinda), and AFAIK it isn't using different LOD models either. Forza is, and it has the advante of being a first-party game. So I'd say dynamic weather and day/night cycle with 24 cars on track at 60 fps isn't that unlikely. Of course people who are more technically inclined than me will bring forth more detailed arguments, wheter they agree or disagree.

P.S: need I remind you this is Forza's 10th anniversary? Epicness should be expected. Wouldn't be too surprised to see T10 announcing a Forza 6 as awesome as it is possible to make it on their current platform, and a new deal with EA/Porsche with a nice DLC for FH2 and Porsche in FM6 (in which case, I'll be there hoping for McLaren-TAGs and 935s like a kid on Christmas morning).

P.P.S: just noticed the Lamborghini in the night-time shot is the Super Trofeo version. Anybody itching to have a 24-cars online spec series?

Oh oh, I almost forgotten about the Porsche rumor for FH2! I hope it's true and they come over to FM6 as well.

I've yet to make myself a playlist. Man I'm so lazy! lol :P

Rio from FM1 could be potentially returning? I mean it's no Alpine Ring, but it's something I guess. Relevent judgement will be held until we know this game actually exists in a few weeks time.

Rio is returning, happily :)

Btw, fm6 was announced in January. This leak is real.

Autoblog just published a press release on the incoming FH2 car pack, and...

Bringing Porsche to Forza Horizon 2 is fantastic news for Xbox fans and, even better, it's just the start! The Forza Horizon 2 Porsche Expansion is the result of an agreement between Porsche, EA, and Xbox to bring the Porsche experience to all Xbox One players. In addition to the Forza Horizon 2 Porsche Expansion, this agreement also includes adding Porsche models to Forza Motorsport 6. We will have more details to share in the future on this integration.

Oh wow this pretty much just checked most of my wish list for the Forza series.

1. Wet weather-Yes!
2. Night racing-Yes!
3. More cars-Yes. Was guessing or hoping for around 500 cars so 450 is pretty good
4. More tracks-Yes!
5. Store front-Not sure yet.
6. Auction House-not sure yet.
7. 24 cars on track! WHOA did not expect that. I was happy with 16 so dang this is excellent news!
8. 60fps Whoa. I will be impressed if they truly achieve 60fps with 24 cars, weather, night, and over 5,000 vinyls per car.

So far this is looking like a purchase for me. Probably not at launch but if things work well, then maybe a week or 2 after launch. It will be interesting to see if there is a catch to the night and weather racing. Maybe only certain tracks?? I am not expecting dynamic weather. So I am guessing only certain tracks will have weather. Regardless, this looks like a proper sequel. Its about time. This is what Forza 5 should have been.

All of a sudden... my flood gates failed me. I have to clean up. T10 has done it... for ****ING ONCE. THEY HAVE GOTTEN IT... FOR GOD DAMN ONCE. AFTER ALL THE BUSH HACKING AND BEATING, THEY'VE FINALLY DONE IT.

Sorry. This rage has been years in the making. I wonder who mollywhopped Greenawalt into getting this done.

The GT7 vs FM6 thread will cause meltdowns of epic proportions. Get ready, GTP.
I agree its about dang time.
