So 11 more tracks then Forza 5 and around 140 new cars?

Yiiiissssssssss....

With season pass won't the final numbers surpass FM4? Regardless it's seems that it's going to be what everyone wanted FM6 to be. Pre-order time soon, have to wait for the special additions though.

Also, apparently 60 FPS is confirmed, so translation error.

Hopefully car count isnt also an error.

+edit+ Over 450 cars, so if it's 90 DLC cars like last time then it will end up having around 540 cars... all premium and few duplicates.

First party, first class. This is what the Xbox One needed, something pushing the console forward. Third parties will have to pull their socks up as they won't realistically be able to say it's not capable anymore.

If those are real FM6 shots, this mean GT cars are making a comeback. And that's what I was missing the most in FM5. Also, rain and a night cycle coming? I know it's hardly a surprise, but... Hell yes.

(Am I the only one finding T10's late leakiness weird? It feels like they're doing it on purpose to get us hyped for E3!)

P.S: as for the watermark, it means the images are For Position Only. Likely lower-res placeholders. Mother of god... Lower-res.

More than 450 cars all immaculately recreated

Hah. Yeah, sure.
Oh? Why the doubt?

+edit+ Random thought, how many of the new cars from FH2 are coming over to FM6 do you guys think? With about 60(?) "new" cars from FH2, that would bring it closer to 90 or something new cars, then the 5 new Fords and the GT cars... Hmm...

Whatever. I'm still gonna be a happy camper.

Man this is awesome new! Night and Weather was hardly a surprise given there inclusion in Horizon, but nonetheless is big news that its finally in a Motorsport game!

Also the 450 cars + 26 locations is great too! Forza 5 had around 300 cars with all the DLC, so I expect the other 150 to be cars from FH2, cars from Forza 4 that haven't yet made the jump to next-gen Forza and completely brand new cars to the franchise.

With the locations, I think all the 17 from 5 will be back, so 9 will be new locations which is more than I thought the would add. Rio, Daytona are confirmed which leaves 7 left. Hopefully we see Tsukuba, Suzuka, Infineon (Or Sonoma) and Fujimi, and some free track DLC like in Forza 5! What tracks do you think will be in the game? Either way Forza 6 looks awesome!

Nice! Very excited about this. Forza get better and better with every iteration and I can only hope the trend continues.

I do hope they add in some sort of rally racing since they already have the dirt modeling worked out from the Horizon games. Night stages with auxiliary lights would be awesome.

One of my biggest issues with F5 was the track list. Looks like the track list will be far far better in F6, and with 26 locations confirmed, its almost but not quite on the level of PCars. This is what it could look like.

Hah. Yeah, sure.

The 22B still makes me sad.

...

But really, this is good news. Seems we'll get back to nearly FM4 levels of content far sooner than anticipated. I'd like to get more details on the weather/time situation, though: they'll be (rightly) criticized if it's just separate versions of tracks, and not full cycles.

This is how I feel as well. Since T10 is so overly obsessed with getting 60fps in their games nowadays, there's no doubt in my mind that they'll may do this in order to keep them that way. GT4 back on PS2 also had night and wet courses and they were solid 60s, same with Enthusia. Guessing T10 may do the same? Though I'm not saying they will do it, but if it's to gain a solid 60...

I've said this already, but I'll say it again. I love this game already! :D

Though, I really hope Turn 10 doesn't pull that rent a car nonsense again.

All of a sudden... my flood gates failed me. I have to clean up. T10 has done it... for ****ING ONCE. THEY HAVE GOTTEN IT... FOR GOD DAMN ONCE. AFTER ALL THE BUSH HACKING AND BEATING, THEY'VE FINALLY DONE IT.

Sorry. This rage has been years in the making. I wonder who mollywhopped Greenawalt into getting this done.

The GT7 vs FM6 thread will cause meltdowns of epic proportions. Get ready, GTP.

I don't see the word dynamic in the reveal. And if we had dynamic weather and time I'd expect it to be plastered all over the article. Think people are getting ahead of themselves a little bit, wait for E3 and ultimately wait for release before we celebrate too much. E3 can't come soon enough!

The placeholder article wasn't intended to be leaked and creating four pre calculated settings for every track is unlikely in my opinion.

I personally won't be expecting dynamic weather and day & night transitions at 1080p/60fps. Pre-set settings for a number of selected tracks seem more plausible considering T10's track record regarding rock-solid performance. However, if they managed to pull it off, that will certainly be amazing to behold.

This E3 should be good.

If you guys look at that third pic with the Ford GT, it looks to be that Rio track from Forza 1 called Rio De Janeiro. That so freakin' cool that T10 is bringing back some old tracks. Bring back New York Full, Alpine Ring, Tokyo Circuit, Fujimi Kaido and Rally di Positano Full while you're at it T10. :D :D :D

Don't forget Sedona, Sunset Peninsula and Camino Viejo!

Indeed, which is why I'm advising caution. We may end up with weather on just a handful of tracks. As MXHyland said it will be a stupendous achievement to pull off dynamic weather and time at 60fps with 24 cars on track.

Did Forza Horizon 2 say outright dynamic ToD/Weather in the press release? Don't get caught up on the wording guys, only a week to find out for sure. Don't underestimate Xbone's power, it's still good enough, especially in the hands of first party studios that have time/money to optimize for one platform, GT had night/weather on PS3, I don't see a single reason why a much more powerful machine can't.

Eh, wait until you see GT7. Not to mention that no one is in trouble anyway
GT7 will no doubt look very, very good gfx-wise. But if it's the same old, stale style of gameplay and progression aka grinding, I believe it'll struggle. The faithful will of course persevere

If they do put dynamic time I hope they don't put the option of accelerated time cycles. It always seemed stupid to me seeing a whole day go by in a matter of minutes.

As far as the actual news I'm ecstatic. This proves I made the right choice when I ditched GT. It's Just the certainty man, Forza grows slowly but surely. Couldn't be happier. :)

Well, the whole day goes in a matter of minutes in FH2, GTA and plenty of other games, doesn't look stupid at all. Not everyone has the time to sit there forever just to watch a shadow crawl an inch.

Even in fh2 it looks stupid to me. I think that the real beauty of that would be seeing time changes on 3/4 hours endurance races. Here in Australia when it's winter it gets dark pretty quickly and that could be captured in a one or two hour race as well.
