XP Required For Each Level

Based on the OP calculations, and at the slow rate that i am playing GT5,
(so far at Level 8, i have been doing roughly 1400 XP per week)
it would take me close to 9 years to get to Level 30!!!

Expect my arrival to Level 30 in November 2019!!!
(at the rate of 1400 XP / week)

And logically Level 40 in November 2114 !
Insane.

Looks to me that i should just pound on GT5 throughout Christmas break if i want to save myself some time. That would be a better alternative that 1400 XP / week.

im going to go camp out in front of sony with a generator, tent, and do a peaceful protest right on their damn lawn until i get level 40, which i estimate to require; 27 cases of beer, 18 racks of ribs for the BBQ, 100 gallons of fuel for the generator, and about 3 weeks. anyone that wants to join just bring your own sleeping bag, ps3, beer, and food.

👍

here is where i am doing it at...

It seems if you bring a level car to the playing field the xp gained is more. So for all of those starting out, don't try to cream the competition with twice the HP of the cars in the race. It might take longer to race, but from the get go if you follow that rule, it will reward you.

Here are some Aspec XP earning numbers that I recently noted, and some approx timings:

European Championships:
Rome 4713 (6mins)
Deep Forest 5315 (7mins)
Monza 7588 (9mins)

Like The Wind:
Indy 3564 (4mins)
Daytona 6790 (8mins)

American Championships:
Indy 3707? note: I cannot read my writing ! (4mins)
Lagauna Seca 7808 (7mins)

Also take into consideration reloading times as well, so eg LTW Daytona is better than LTW Indy.

EDIT: Please note that I have not opened up all of the Extreme events as yet, neither have I run several events in other levels as I do not have the cars, so there may be better ways.

Luckily for me, all of the cars I have an interest in are around Level 23 (908, 767, etc...).

PD can keep their level 40 as well as their silly TRON car BS. :)

So what is the point of grinding to lv40? If we get the X1 at lv30 in A-spec or 35 in B-Spec. What are the rewards of going any higher?

In the Extreme Dream Car Championship Indy = 9819 and takes under 8 mins, Monza = 18868 takes under 16 mins (using same car).

So Monza is probably the faster XP earner because you do not need to factor in a reload.

Just did this in XP:

40	7576732	13496054	21.88	100.00

Interesting things to note:

To get from level 36-40 requires 62.75% of the total XP needed to reach level 40.

To get from level 39-40 requires approximately the same XP as getting from level 1-34.

To get through 50% of the levels (level 20) you need only 8.5% of the XP needed to get to level 30 and only 0.7% of the XP required to get to level 40.

To get through 75% of the levels (level 30) you need only 8.5% of the XP required to get to level 40.

I posted this in another thread, but thought it should be here (in an abridged format).

I am at level 24, have golded nearly everything so far, and have 3 aspec events plus most of the AMG Academy to do. I need approx 100,000 cr to open up the first Endurance race at level 25.

I think you can get to, or very close to, A-spec level 25 without grinding but you are going to have to gold everything; licences, special events and races. So no gold = grinding. I am happy with the system up to that point.

However, after level 25 the XP uplifts are clearly not right. If possible I would have thought that PD should just change the XP differences above 25 to be in much smaller, and fixed, increments.

It would not be good if people walk away from the GT series through the boredom of the grind (replaying races is fun, but there has to be a balance) and it would have a big effect on the sales of any DLC because if people are not playing it then they will not buy it.

Replace interesting with.... (well, pick your expletive)... unbelievable when spelled out like that. Those are frightening numbers, and should raise a lot of concern at Sony and PD.

Reading this makes me realise something...

I will not complete GT5 in it's current format. I'm sure some people will disagree with me when I say it but this XP system is a load of old nonsense.
I've wasted an awful lot of time grinding already, I've wasted an awful lot of time on what are apparently pointless license tests. But worst of all, I'm starting to think I've wasted years waiting for this game... and I've wasted my money. :indiff:

I did some basic math as well. I'm around level 33 and 2/3's. Not counting what I have left to get in level 33, I still need another 28,483,811 XP Points to reach level 40 :ill: And they expect us to do this without getting anything from racing online? Here are some other numbers Excel was kind enough to give me:

Total Points Needed To Reach Level 40 --> 34,634,713

12% Completed 4,156,166 Between Level 31 And 32

25% Completed 8,658,678 Between Level 34 And 35

33% Completed 11,429,455 Between Level 35 And 36

50% Completed 17,317,357 Between Level 37 And 38

66% Completed 22,858,911 Between Level 38 And 39

75% Completed 25,976,035 Between Level 38 And 39

87% Completed 30,132,200 Between Level 39 And 40

im honestly not pushed about getting the x1 or getting to level 40. i bought the game to race and thats what i enjoy doing. i think people who want to get to level 40 is just for bragging rights

I have just completed my first ASpec Endurance Race at Deep Valley Speedway.

I got 113,874 XP for 105 mins racing.

That makes Endurance racing the fastest earner of XP, no reloads, and you could get an even faster time if using eg a Minolta Race Car.

Just realized that to reach b-spec level 40 from level 35 will take a while ...

Is it the same XP required for each level in B-spec?
34 1722749 7873651
35 2205119 10078770
36 2822552 12901322
37 3612867 16514189
38 4624470 21138659
39 5919322 27057981
40 7576732 34634713

So, cumulative points required 34634713 - 10078770 = 24555943

Most xp/minute is probably acquired by running Le Mans 24h

B-Spec

Level 35 : Le Mans 24h : Toyota GT-ONE Race Car (TS020) ‘99 (S) 2,241,184exp 86,700credits

24555943/2241184 ~ 10.96

So one would have to grind about 11 days to go from b-spec level 35 to level 40.

I am about 1,5 M away from level 35, I don't think that I will continue much further than level 35...

Indy 500 2 more times should get me within a breath of 30, that's roughly 5 hours of my life. I don't wanna do it, going round in a circle 400 times isn't racing but at least once vettel challenge is open I can get back to playing the game as in racing cars.

Seems to me PD has a split personality, one side loves cars and racing and gamers and the other side is made up of sadists.

Well I am up to lvl 37 now, Once you do Le Mans the first time you will pretty much get to 36 instantly, I'm just a few hours off finishing Le Mans for the 3rd time now. I do have an X1 though and I am currently investigating how fast I can do Suzuka 1000km. If I can manage to do it in under 3.5hrs, it will be faster than Le Mans by about 100xp/min.
I don't really look at it as grinding though because I can just leave it and do something else. Can't wait to do Nurburgring 24h.

Suzuka 1000 km with X1 and unattended Bob(s) will take about 4h18min, so this is the second best xp/min ratio in endurance, the best ratio is Le Mans 24h

Grand Valley 300km with X1 b-spec
68590xp/1h25min = 68590xp/85min = 807 xp/min

Roadster 4 hours
89460xp/4h = 89460xp/240min = 372 xp/min

Laguna Seca 200 miles with X1 b-spec
95561xp/1h41min = 95561/101min = 946 xp/min

Indianapolis 500 miles with X1 b-spec
157762exp/2h15min = 157762xp/135min = 1168 xp/min

Suzuka 1000 km with X1 b-spec
354561xp/4h18min = 354561xp/258min = 1374 xp/min

Nurburgring 4h b-spec
290919exp/4h = 290919xp/240min = 1212 xp/min

Tsukuba 9h bspec
661144xp/9h = 661144xp/540min = 1224 xp/min

Le Mans 24h b-spec
2241184xp/24h = 2241184xp/1440min = 1556 xp/min

I am using Suzuka 1000 km with X1 while I am awake and run Tsukuba 9h during night.

I just did the Monza race in the European Championship.

Spyker C8 - 11 minutes/7588 Experience gained = 690xp/min

In contrast, the 4 minutes or less doing the the American Indy Speedway race gets you 4440 experience which means you earn around 1110exp/min

Note also, that the European Race is unlocked at a lower experience level than the Indy race.

I shall be keeping track of what I experience wise and how long the race was. It would be nice to have a table showing the races and exp/min.
