Well I am up to lvl 37 now, Once you do Le Mans the first time you will pretty much get to 36 instantly, I'm just a few hours off finishing Le Mans for the 3rd time now. I do have an X1 though and I am currently investigating how fast I can do Suzuka 1000km. If I can manage to do it in under 3.5hrs, it will be faster than Le Mans by about 100xp/min.
I don't really look at it as grinding though because I can just leave it and do something else. Can't wait to do Nurburgring 24h.

Hi, did you try to just start a 24h event, and then finish in last place (doing one lap and leaving the console running) to see if you gain xp ?

Not sure what you mean but if you mean purposely coming last then no lol. Why on earth would I try that on a 24hr race?

Sorry of course i meant after having completed that event once :P

Personnally, i don't know if i'll have the patience to do a 24h race 3 or 4 times !!! It could be a good way to level up. Nor very fair maybe, but after all who cares, the progression system is boring anyway so...

i like how Skype decided two of the numbers in the OP was a phone number.
45 and 47, if you're curious.

been a lot of people asking about this. reckon i'll steer them to this thread from here out.

I just did the Monza race in the European Championship.

Spyker C8 - 11 minutes/7588 Experience gained = 690xp/min

In contrast, the 4 minutes or less doing the the American Indy Speedway race gets you 4440 experience which means you earn around 1110exp/min

Note also, that the European Race is unlocked at a lower experience level than the Indy race.

I shall be keeping track of what I experience wise and how long the race was. It would be nice to have a table showing the races and exp/min.
This info and plenty more is already in this thread.

i am at my grinding now.
here is some stats from me if someone is interested:

Like The Wind:
Indy 3564xp, Minolta Toyota = 3,16.7xx minutes.

American champ:
Indy (xp??), Nascar = 3,59,3xx minutes.

So the XP/race is pretty good in Like the Wind races.

But is there a faster way to grind?

Yeh I'm pretty sure you would stick get exp/money but I'm not going to try that lol.

Well i tried, and obviously it doesn't work ^^

I left the ps3 running overnight on Tsukuba 4h, just made a lap this morning and the race was finished... 3216 xp

How are people supposed to level up from 36 to 40 in A-Spec?

I really can't be bothered doing the 24h Le Mans over and over. I'm a million XP from level 37 but I havn't done the Suzuka 1000km yet, but that only gets you like half a million XP?

That's pretty much exactly what you will need to do. I'm halfway doing it for the 5th time now.

I posted this from the Prize Car Thread For the Suzuka Enduro:

618,185 (XP Points) and $314,000

And I'm curious if you are going through the Le Mans 24 Hour race for the 5th time again too.

i just finished Grand Valley 300 (60 laps) with Minolta Toyota. I made it in 1 hour and 37 minutes. but i really hate the AI. They made me spin out twice! omg....
I got 113000 XP. Pretty ok, i almost got one more level on that one.

ASpec XP update:

There is enough XP available to reach ASpec level 28 without repeating any event.

I have now golded all licenses and special events (except the Eiger TT). I have repeated only a few races. I kept thinking that maybe I could get to level 25, then 26... but what has surprised is just how much XP is available when golding Special events, especially the Rally and the AMG Academy. I reached level 28 after winning the Laguna Seca 200, and I assume the Indy 500 will not take me to level 29 (I will come back an update if it does).

However, I did borrow a couple of cars until I got the multi-millionaire trophy, so I do not know whether I would have needed to grind to get a car - I do not think so. fwiw apart from some Rally tyres, and racing tyres much later on, I only bought one upgrade (for the Yaris race).

I was really hoping that getting to level 30 would be possible without having to grind, but sadly that will not be so.

Once you get to lvl 30 though, the grinding will stop for a little while because you get a bucket load of experience from the Red Bull X1 Challenge!! I only bronzed all three challenges, and it took me straight from beginning of lvl 30, to half way lvl 31. Can only imagine how much experience you got for three golds!!

And if they don't release new events? You're only hope is that they change online races to award exp/credits.

Considering the difficulty of this Vettel Challenge - even Bronze is hard to get - i'm afraid that's not an easy way to win xp :-(

:) it being hard wasn't the point, just that it is an event you won't be repeating again.

You essentially go from level 30 to level 34 if you gold all three events (give or take). IIRC, I still had to do the Suzuka 1000km, Nurb 4 hour to reach level 35. I did the Tsukuba 9 hour and am at 35 1/2 or so...been that way for quite a while now

when you hit the next level, does your xp automatically reset to 0 and then you start all over again? or do your points carry over?

To some extent, your XP points carry over from the previous level to the next higher one.

For example if you had 200,000 XP points (a level 25 career), and you ran the Grand Valley 300km race and earned 68,590 XP points, you would have a total of 268,590 XP points and would level-up to level 26 (since level 26 is reached at 239,080 and you exceeded this number).

Now since you have earned 268,590 XP points you now have 29,510 (268,590-239,080=29,510) points that will get applied towards leveling up to level 27 (which is reached at 306,022 more XP points).

So its the cummulative XP point totals that we are working towards that arseneH lists in post # 6

i will do every day the Indy 500 - gives 268.000 exp points
im on halfway to level 37

i really cant do 24h race 3 times a week, by my calcuilations i would reach level 40 in 20 weeks if i do indy 500 every day - no rush for me

sooner or later i will get the F10

but it can be in 10 weeks if you do the Nurburgring 4h - gives 490.000 exp pts

Hey forumers, it's my first post here. I'm curious as to the amount of XP you get for Laguna Seca 200 miles in A-Spec? I'm at level 26 right now, trying to plan my way to level 30 and unlock the X1 challenge before Christmas.

Figured it was better to ask here than start a new thread.

Fortunately I don't have to grind too much. I haven't done many special events yet because I enjoyed the ones I did so much I chose to save them untill I really needed them. I'd like to do them all together, so I'm going to do them when I reach Level 29. I figure by the time I've beat them all I should be at Level 30. I'm thinking a Laguna 200, a couple Indy 500s and some good Monza grinding (18868 for 14 and 1/2 minutes in Dream Car Championship) should see me through to 29.

Hi and welcome benmc 👍

For Laguna Seca 200 miles in A-Spec you'll get 158,078 XP ; but once you reach level 28 i think you'd better go with Indy 500 ==> 268,176 XP in 2h 1/2 ;)
