XP Required For Each Level

What do you think the chances are that we will get an endurance seasonal event thats worth some crazy XP?

I don't think it'll be necessary really, the last two 'seasonal' races they put up offered around 400,000 EXP each if you golded all five races, that means it's realistically only going to take a month or two of seasonals to get from level 30-40 assuming you only do each enduro once.
Golding all the Vettel challenges makes a HUGE difference though. As previously said, 30-34 can be done simply by golding each of the three challenges. Then do the available enduros will get you to 35. Then seasonals all the way to 40. I don't see what the huge fuss is about getting to 40 ASAP. As and when I do get to 40, I'll start a new profile and begin from scratch, so I'm in no hurry LOL

Yeah once they keep giving us fresh races I will be happy. I don't want to fall into the 'pointlessly doing the indy 500 over and over' group when instead I can actually enjoy my trip to higher levels.

A-spec lvl 28, I've got all golds in licences and nearly all golds in everything else. All races 'done' except ones not yet available to me. I just finished the "Indy 500" in about 2hrs 20 mins or so. Seems like it's going to be quite a grind from this point on just to hit lvl 30. 9hrs endurance race is next to unlock. 9 hours? I've done a 4hr and 2hr back to back but 9 hours on that crappy little track seems ridiculous. Tsukuba or whatever it is. It's my least favorite track in the game.

Once I get to lvl 30 I doubt I'll 'strive' for any further levels. I might get them but only through a very gradual gaining of points via online racing etc...

Currently sitting at lvl 27 and now just got all the endurance events left to do.
Only did all the other challenges once in A-spec. Got all gold incl. the special events and the seasonal events.
Guess after the endurance stuff and the vettel challenge it will indeed be a matter of waiting for seasonals to get up to 40. No way I will be 'grinding' for exp.in a ffing racegame, and not in a hurry neither.

Is there a guide to how much XP you get per race/event? I've searched some of GTP but all I found was a guide for money, not XP, per event.

I hate grinding. I'm trying to get the last little bit to lv30 to unlock the Vettel challenge, and I know the quickest and easiest way to do it is to run the Indy 500 twice.

But dear God, that race is BORING. The last time I did it, I had to switch the sound over to some music from the CD player to keep from falling asleep. That's like five hours of NOTHING.

I cry now.

I tried to do some A-spec grinding today and just can't do it. It's mind-numbing, make me want to harm myself.

From level 36 to 40 it's 10 times 24 hour race in DeLaSathre in B-Spec and 5 times in A-Spec. What do you think about that? Or in A-Spec it's suzuka Endurace every day once for like a month :scared:, really for 30 days you would have to do Suzuka Endurance at least once in a day :scared::scared: It's still a long time to platinum trophy :/

Hey there is no rush for getting GT5 100% as qick as possible
GT6 comes out in 4-5 years...
you dont have to do it as fast as possible - the game came out 2 months ago...

i do 1x Nordschleife 4h a week and thats it - gives 490.000 exp
by the end of 2011 i should be on lvl 40 (currently lvl 37)

no rush pepole - health comes always 1st - we got 4 years before GT6

so no rush

What's the use of having a X2010 and not be able to see if it's actualy possible to buy the car, what lv required and how much it cost...

Actually when you reach level 30 the X2010 will appear in the Gran Turismo Dealership. You need to be at level 40 and have 20 Mil. to buy it.

Jerome

dont need to be lvl 40 to buy it. im 39 b spec and 26 a spec and its avail online collectors dealership and nor was it 20 mil, i have only had up to 9 mil and it was avail, it was actually a beige/off white color as well. not the stock standard blue

As for the others in b spec endurance races, use like a formula gt car / red but x10 / Toyota GT Car and leave it on auto pilot. it pits in when it needs tyres and changes your tyres to rain if it needs to, or if it stops raining changes to say soft tyres etc.

I have it running non stop, i go to bed/sleep and it runs for me to level up. I always win, just remember to change the oil at least after each race. And make sure you buy some medium tyres as well less pitting this way :)

The posts above you are talking about the X2010. You are talking about the FGT.

Be a bit careful using the Toyota GT One level cars and this method. All was fine until I got close to level 39. Suddenly I would wake up after 10 hours and my driver would be a lap behind and nothing I would do helped him catch up. I even completely rebuilt my engine and did the "everything else" rebuild as well. Same thing happened the next day. I even managed Bob very carefully for the last 4 hours of the 24 hours and tried to get ahead, but I would always end up a lap behind. I bought a different car and maxed it out (A8); same problem. Not sure if there is some bug, if my B-spec guys are starting to "gray out" or what. I noticed they were pitting a lot, and seemed to get a bit confused on automatic tire choices. Generally my B-spec Bobs seem capable, and I trained them by hand over many hours...so I'm not sure what's going on.

Anyway, switching over to the X2010 solved the problem. Bob was 96 laps ahead at the end of the 24 hours.

Note: I'm not a huge fan of grinding; but it takes about 24 million xp to get from 35 to 40 in b-spec even after the first 24 hour race is complete. I'm just not sure what fun I would have doing that "hands on". So I'm going to finish b-spec and focus on enjoying a-spec.

I then did the Seb Vettel X2010 challenge and golded everything and I am now a mid lvl 34. I'm definitely not complaining about it as it is great to go so high after spending a while grinding up to 30.

I wish I was half the driver you are Dessy. It took me about 8 hours of practice -- each -- to just get Bronze on the first two Vettel X2010 races, and I'm struggling with the third (Suzuka) now. It may take me weeks to get gold on those. :( I bought a wheel for it (DFGT). Maybe I'm just getting old.

Maybe Sony wants us to run our PS3's 24/7 so they wear out and burn up and we need to buy new again?

Grinding sends me back to F1 2010 online play!

You can buy the X2010 when you reach level 30 A-spec. I just reached that and it became available for 20 Mill. You dont have to be level 40 to buy it. Also you get an x2010 when you reach level 35 B-spec or if you beat the Vettel Challenge level 30. Sheesh people get your facts straight!

you can buy the x2010 at the dealer when you reach level 30? are you sure? Have you actually try to buy it? If not why does it have a LVL 40 badge stamped on it?

you get to see the X2010 in the dealership at level 30, not actually buy it, go ahead and try picking a colour to buy, I bet it won't let you.

you can "try" to buy it, but they won't sell it to you. :sly:

leveling system is epic fail from PD. just trying to extend a mediocre game at most.

29-30 = 600 laps at daytona = 7.5 hours of EFFECTIVE gameplay..... what's the point? u only get 250.000cr per race anyway..

I'm just gonna do whatever I can to get to 30, and get the x1, then bye bye to the pointless leveling.

On same stage as you mate nearly on level 30 and done the indy 500 twice after i initially completing it taking 2.5 hours. So do you receive the x1 prologue when you level up to 30?

My every Bob gets to drive the x2010. from level 0 to 34
How come they get to drive it then, i'm just saying...

I'm level 30 A-spec, 33 B-Spec btw.

If I understood you right...

You don't need to be at a certain level to drive a car. You just need to be at a certain level to buy a car.

I've had it with this stupid XP system. Currently Level 34 A Spec and 35 B spec. Silvered the Vettel Challenge and done the seasonal races. Mostly gold on the first pass through the license tests. Now I have to leave the PS3 on for 11 straight days to get Bob to level 40 and buy the color X2010 that I want.

I have no interest in doing A Spec 24 hour races, didn't finish GT4 A spec because of that. Nurburgring 4 hour will be my last race and I'm done with the game except online racing. The prize cars from the endurance races and gold licenses are not worth the effort, so the trophies are for completion status only.

Couldn't agree more, the xp required to get to level 40 involves way too much redundancy. No offense to anyone else, as a matter of fact I'm happy for them if they have the time to do a 24 hours race, but my life is too busy to play a 'game' for 24 hours. It's insane not to be able to save during a 24 hour race.

I do speak under correction though, so if there is a way to save during a 24 hour race, then someone please enlighten me.
