do you actually unlock anything or get any new benefits after reaching level 24? seems like all the races and cars are unlocked at that point.

Lots of a/b spec races left to unlock. Special events to be unlocked. X2010 can't be bought till you are level 40.

I don't get it! Just Hit pause button!

You clearly don't get it. Let's say you do 4hrs a day, it would take 6 days to do a 24hr race. During those 6 days your PS3 is useless for anything else. It's just sitting there with the disk and laser sitting on the same spot while the game is paused.

Nurburgring 4hr gives 290k. The 9hr event gives 660k about. Don't know much else.

Im on Bspec level 34. Just got it. I have been trying to get level 35 for the X2010 car. But now I don't know which race to do to get to level 35 Bspec as fast as possible. Grr.

but it can be in 10 weeks if you do the Nurburgring 4h - gives 490.000 exp pts[/QUOTE]

I start the 9hrs at tsukuba(bspec) every night before going to bed. 660k xp every morning is nice. Did that for a week or so and now I'm running LeMans 24hrs,which I will have to do 11 times to get to 40. That's not happening.

I wanted to reach LVL40 B-Spec asap but being now LVL38 and missing still lots of XP I changed my mind. Instead of running Le Mans 24h everyday, I now run Suzuka 1000km/Tsukuba 9h during Night/Day and on the evening I run Dreamcar Championship.

Overall this takes much longer to reach LVL40, but there are two reasons why I prefer it:
- much more Cr., you can make easily 3-4 Mio. everyday
- leveling the Career/Experience bar of the B-Spec driver (needed for trophy)

Especially since PD might change the rewarding Cr. with the next Patch I should earn as much money as possible now. This way I can buy lots of cars in less time.

As for A-Spec ... I don't know if I ever will reach LVL40 there. Currently, I am on LVL32 but I still need to do all events in Professional up to Endurance (got only Like the Wind for the Minolta) and the AMG special event as well. Having 2 of 3 Golds in X2010 event helped me to reach my high LVL but from here on it gets tedious...

Well, I think I just finish off everything one time and try to Gold everything. Then I might be LVL34 or LVL35. Afterwards, I will just do the Seasonal Events until I reach LVL40. Hopefully, it will still be this year :(

Jlagreen: Everything you said made sense to me, mostly because it's the same strategy I'm employing (b-spec)/plan to employ (a-spec) :)

Also consider the Indy 500 with the X1 (2+hours). I am actually doing the reverse; I was running Suzuka & Tsukuba and now I am just running Le Mans - only 4 to go. It is the same process though; race, change oil, exit game, backup save, load GT5, race.....
To get the AoE trophy I will just finish off with the X1 in the Sunday Cup at Tsukuba, which takes 2.5 mins per race.

I will have an Aspec on Saturday but Bspec should be all complete by next Wednesday.

Just hit today level 40 in B-Spec and after that you will no longer awarded with Exp points. Well you earn but they are not added to your level 7.576,732

Yes, i want to fill up career bar. 82% of the trophies so far.

Need do finnish in this order

1. Fill up career bar.
2. Gold in GT Tour Alfa Romeo C8
3. Grind from 38 to 40 level in A-Spec and finish last 24h Race at Nurburgring
if this would not give me Gold Standard then, i have to
4. Finish last 24h Race at Nurburgring in B-Spec, because i just unlock it, and not let my Bob go there yet.
5. Collect 500 cars :yuck: and BAM! Platinum

Can I request in the interest of research for GTPlanet that you do (4) before (3) ? Someone has already posted proof of getting the Gold Standard trophy completing all golds in ASpec but not BSpec, it would be nice to know if it works the other way around, ie is Gold Standard tied to Aspec or can it be either ?
The only thing that will hold me back is golding Vettel with a DS3 - I am going to have another go after finishing BSpec (I will reach level 39 tomorrow).

Ok, i already send Bob to NurburgRing, he should finish that race tomorrow at 12 pm (noon), so then we all will know.

so thats 36,327,133xp from level 30-40(supposing you have already reached level 30). if you grind the indy from american series in extreme at 4440xp per race that only 8182 races and 40,910 laps at about 43seconds a lap which is 29,319 minutes or 489 hours or 20.5 days non stop playin to reach level 40! you also get 957,294,000cr throughout this!

ya i probably messed a number up in there somewhere. but you still get the point

Considering the game forces you to spend money or lose it when you reach 20mil credits, it would take a whole lot longer than 20.5 days playing it that way...

I have two X2010s now, its cheaper at that point I think just to re-furbish the chasis than it is to Blow 20 million on another one. Or better yet now, just get one for free like all these other cheaters.

Yup two S.Vettel X2010s here too, one is pristine and the other has been run into the ground. Finally level 40 so will be blowing 20mill to have a pristine X2010 in every colour, and will eventually get round to golding the damn seb vettel challenges!

Couldn't agree more, the xp required to get to level 40 involves way too much redundancy. No offense to anyone else, as a matter of fact I'm happy for them if they have the time to do a 24 hours race, but my life is too busy to play a 'game' for 24 hours. It's insane not to be able to save during a 24 hour race.

I do speak under correction though, so if there is a way to save during a 24 hour race, then someone please enlighten me.

Wait you can't save on endurance races?! (haven't even come close to unlocking them yet BTW) That's pretty stupid. My dad still has a Le Mans race going on since the early 2000s on our PS2 and still hasn't finished it (hasn't played it in years). And it's saved. PD better let us save endurance races in either an update or GT6 (at least GT6 if not both).

Disappointed you can't save endurances races. I'm still running an original fatty and I fear it may not last leaving it on for the 24 hours race :-(

Finished today A Spec ... my b spec lvl 37 ...

wow congratulations X-games...

i calculated today what it would take to double the lvl40, to get to lvl80...its ugly!!! im glad it cant be done. just to get to the theoretical lvl50 you need just over half a billion EXP.

Hi there, my first post on here so hello to everyone :)

just thought i'd add my 2 pence worth, in regard to the question 'does the XP you earn, differ slightly depending on what car you use?' no it doesnt, ive just ran the 22 lap indy race in the dreamcar championship, once in a Formula Gran Turismo, once in the X2010 and once in a level car with the rest of the field, a Zonda LM Race car, and each race i was awarded 14846 exp points. My apologies if his question had been answered already in this thread, if it has i must have missed it sorry :)

And also, i took a look at the google database B-Spec spreadsheet that was posted a couple of pages back.... for the dreamcar championship it states that the prize money for each race is 22,700, when its 108,000 per race. Dont get me wrong im not being rude in any way, i mean, hats off to the person who slaved for ages making that spreadsheet, but just thought i'd point that little bit out :)

It's supposed to be seasonal, that's why. Initially it was 22.700, then they released an update including those "holiday bonus" that should last until the end of january ; looks like they left it like that though !

leveling system is epic fail from PD. just trying to extend a mediocre game at most.

29-30 = 600 laps at daytona = 7.5 hours of EFFECTIVE gameplay..... what's the point? u only get 250.000cr per race anyway..

I'm just gonna do whatever I can to get to 30, and get the x1, then bye bye to the pointless leveling.

No enduro's for you then eh? They are so much fun, you'll be missing out.
