You know you're playing GT4 too much when...

...when the other day I was bicycling past a house where I'd previously seen a 1970 Buick Skylark Custom, and the open garage door revealing the outward-facing radiator grill and headlights caused me to think, "So, he must have recently won a race, or achieved a gold medal license time, or purchased a car".

Yeah but you can't add oil from underneath most times ;)
Course you can. You just gotta know how. ;)

Actually, I showed the oil change sequence to my parents (who run a few quick lube shops around the area) and they laughed. Hard.

....when you are put off looking in the classifieds for a second hand car because you have to spend a further 50K getting the chassis straightened.

.........you're playing 2 player and you beat you friend around the Nurbugring when he (who's got a bit of skill) is in a DB9 and your in a Honda Z act.

... you can't imagine a Spoon Civic without thinking of a Toyota Celica ST165.
... you come up with a new one of these regularly.

I did that except replace the DB9 with a Jag XJR-9 and the Z-Act with a '63 Daihatsu Midget on Test Course.:sly: (It was my friend's first time playing a GT game, that's why I beat him so easily.)

I wish I could have saved the replay.

-when you know each GT4 car's horse power, cost, nationality, drivetrain, displacement etc... without even trying.
-when you realise that you own all the cars in the game or when your garage is full with 1ooo cars.
-when you can drive the worst cars on the worst tracks with the toughest opponents with sports tires and still win.
-when you need to put a fan on your ps2

...you buy a new ps2 when GT4 wouldnt work on the old one anymore
...you know exactly when your favorite car turns up in the used car lot.
...you research the history of every race car in the game
...you b-spec enduros at 10pm and fall asleep an hour into the race and wake up the next morning to you prize car rotating around since 3am.

...when you post up your experiences in races in the form of race reports, give it a story outline, then have the idea of making stories themselves with the help of GT4 race reports..,

GUILTY.
