Thats not right, What do you run, AMD or P4? My CPU at idle is around 41*C, and my GPU (X850xt) is at 37*C. What are you using to show these numbers?

At the time I was guessing and not at my puter but I'll check right now. I'm on a Pent. D btw.

Take it the heatsink off and give it a good thorough clean. There's probably heaps of dust in the fins and so on.

Then again, the insane ambient temp outside wouldn't be helping mine much either. I hate the heat. :irked:

You forgot about the compressed air can stuff. My Graphics Card temp is like 60c at the moment, then again the 7series of GF cards do have a better heatsink.

My CPU temp is like 34c and my Motherboard temp is 30c. May need to clean some more dust out, while trying to sort my cables out even more.

Whats this coolbits?

Id be interesting in overclocking graphics a bit and maybe a little on the CPU.

Edit i auto overclocked the graphics and got 4513

Room temps were 27 and the CPU got to a max of 41C

Graphics card overclocked a bit.
Need to figure out how to get the cpu to run stable, would like to OC it to 2400mhz instead of the 2200 its on now.

Cheers 👍 Looking at the comparison, our scores are too similar! But then our rigs are almost identical. You're running the 4400+ X2 right?

Yes mate, Im downloading the latest graphics drivers now! seems i was a bit outdated on them, will run the test again and see if their is any improvements 👍

But yes i think our systems basically identical except your CPU is 200mhz faster :ouch: :lol:

Which driver did you get? Are they all for Nvidia cards because I didn't see one specifically for the 7800GT.

The drivers improve everything!, all scores and fps's from each lvl. A bit here and a bit their, but all adds up to 160 points!

Make sure you have all your latest drivers 👍

Ah at least i'm 300 CPU points ahead. I can put my CPU ego back in its box now! ;) I assume that the CPU has less of an impact on the overal 3DMark. We should compare PCMarks, that'd be interesting. You got PCMark05?

BTW have you used coolbits to OC your graphics?

I clicked manually, then clicked optimise. I found this better and more stable than auto OC.

edit: :D:tup: Thanks SF it worked a lot better than auto... now I'll test out FEAR to see if there's artifacts.

Yes and that was the method i followed too. Sorry if i said otherwise before, i didn't really spend a lot of time using it :crazy:
 
A quick tune up (no overclocking required) gets me this score:

Oh by the way my system is as follows:
2gbs of Ram
AMD athlon 4000+
Dual GeForce 7800GTXs (standard 256mb cards)
