That's because it doesn't have the right name in GT3... ;)

Yea Advan? Atleast I know about the cars I like. You look like a 7 yr old who just picks cars cause they look cool and are expensive. What's it to you anyway? I wouldn't do that conversion anyhoo, I was just showing a pic that I found quick, just to show the car cause it's fairly obvious that you didn't have a clue about the MX-3 before you saw that pic.

chill, I was just giving you some ****. If you think the wiper conversion is gay, then your on the same side as me. I guess I was poking fun at the typical type of people that drive them. rrrrrrrricers.

I do know a bit about the mx3. I pretty much know as much as one should know about a car of that type. Its FWD, has an underpowered 6 cylinder that is something like 1.6liter.

I dont like fwd cars, sorry. I also think the mx3 is damn ugly, and too common.

Your mental picture of me as a person is wrong. I am not a little kiddie that likes expensive unobtainable ferraris and lambos. You know anything about the 2002 turbo? 2002 as in the model, not the year.

have to agree 100% there with you, then again i'm not a great fan of any mazda but thats just my opinion

A Murray/Weisman Design Rocket

A Porsche 959

..and finally, yes, okay, I don't normally like to advertise, but, yeah, one of these...

Normally I would say something like this ...

... but Vat already took it \:

Next would be a Ferrari 355 GTS

But really, I'm thinking something more like this

no one has the original m3 as their dream car? I suggest some of you do a little research on its racing roots.

Add that to my list, e30 m3.

and what the hell, the ferrari f2002, the quickest tool for navigating a road course on the planet.

aww **** me for forgetting the legendary porsche 959 and the mclaren f1 :)
so...

Isn't that what a dream car is? Some unobtainable car that you wish you could sometime own. Your dream car isn't the best car you will probably own sometime in your lifetime. It's one that you hope to get.

Dream cars... hard to tell, all of them would be some kind of hotrod... I agree with street racer in the 49 merc part, but mine would be primered with solid red flames and whitewalls, dropped to the ground and with flamethrowers. other would be a very traditional 32 ford coupe, in primer, with a 392 blown hemi with eight carburetors. yes, eight. with whitewall slicks and halibrand wheels. chopped five inches, and channeled some 4 inches, so it would be VERY low. oh yeah. another thing would be a thoroughly modern muscle car, maybe a roadrunner or a 69 mustang, with an EFIed and turboed or centrifugally supercharged big block HEMI (yup, i like hemis :D) running trhough an electronically controled transmission, three plate cluthc, a race-bred suspension, 4 wheel discs with 8 piston calipers... you know, the works. humilliate anything on the other side or the TRACK with something 35 years old. and the list could go on and on and on.

Cano

on the other side of things (no-hotrods :D) id LOVE a Ferrari Daytona or a lamborghini Jalpa or Countach. an xj220 would be an absolute orgasm.

yes a dream car should be unobtainable. But imo it is people who know less about cars that pick the newest lambos and ferraris as their dream cars, just because they are new and made by those companies. I think mazkid was trying to say that about me.

I have more respect for someone that has less mainstream models as their dream cars. it requires more thought, and a wider knowledge and appreciation of cars.

Choose just one? That's sacrilege! Um, I guess the Porsche 959. There's lots of others I'd choose as second, but after much deliberation, the 959 it is.

why do so many people like the 959? As I understand, the reason it was so special was because it was very technologically for a car from 89 or 90. It had computer controlled AWD and other gadgets. Its rarity and performance were other factors to make it great. But today, it isnt that advanced anymore (i think), and I thought I had read an article saying on a track it has always been a bit sluggish, displaying understeer like the typical overweight AWD car. To me rarity only adds to a cars greatness, if it is amazing to start with.

So if you dont mind me asking, why 959? why not f40 or gt2? this isnt a flame.

classic status doesnt make a car someones ultimate dream car. there are dozens if not hundredds of classic cars. (depends on persons opinion)

Because it's a technological marvel, simple as that. The F40 is a Ferrari, so you can scratch it off my list. Nothing made by Ferrari will be on that list, ever.

thats pretty stupid dont you think? I dislike ferraris in general. I hate the f1 team and wouldnt step foot in a 360 (well maybe I would :)). But the f40 was a raw ass race car that was street legal. The ferrari badge on that car is the only thing that makes it similar to newer ferraris.

it was under 3000lb, which was damn good for an exotic back then. It had a twin turbo v8 that made almost 500hp. 0-60 in 3.8, 1/4 in 11.8 (these numbers were using 1991 rubber technology), and more importantly it grips like mad and behaves like a good race car should on the track. I can only imagine what driving one would feel like.

You should have noticed I didnt list the f50 or enzo, because they stand for what I hate about ferrari. but hating a car because of the badge? that is irrational.

EDIT: I didnt mention the mclaren f1 either. I dont necessarily hate the f50 or enzo either, but these cars along with the f1 just lack that character I need in a car to make it special to me. They are wicked fast, yes, but that doesnt really make a car special, to me atleast.

My dream car : Suzuki Pikes Peak Escudo. Heh.

OK, seriously, my dream car would be a Pagani Zonda C12S. I just love every bit of this car. ;) But since I'm 14 and I'll have to wait another 4-5 years till I get my driving license, so most probably some better cars will surface up.

I would want to own a GT500 too.

A Ferrari F355 F1 would be pretty nice.

Porsche 911 Turbo, red looks nice but I'd rather have it in black.

..because I love all that techno wizardry, particularly when applied to a specific purpose - in this instance, Group B rules. That's why I love the 959 and what it represented at the time. I consider it a Porsche classic and I'd definitely consider it a dream car - desirable and unobtainable. Remember I was in my teens at the time.

The F40, which pretty well went head to head with it, was a fairly crude Ferrari chassis with a burster of a motor in it - dramatic looking, I'll grant you (heck, I've got a 1:18 model of sitting in the house), but to me, just an engine in a sexy body.

That's part of the reason I love GT-Rs, as well. The R32 GT-R was designed with one purpose in mind - to dominate Japanese Group A touring car racing. It acheived this so effectively it killed the formula.

Oh yeah - I forgot one definite dream car...

jaguar_xjr15.jpg

The Jaguar XJR15 - the car the XJ220 should have been. How can a Jag supercar have anything except a V12 in it?

I saw one in action at the Albert Park Historic events they ran in the years leading up to the grand prix being held there. The best looking road car - just a gorgeous thing. Pretty damn fast, too.

There's one that runs around near where I live - I see it sometimes on the way home from work. It doesn't actual look like the Silvia - it's one of those cars that looks quite different in the flesh to what it does in photos. It more resembles a really clean and long series III RX-7. The engine note is something else...

And what do we think of A Maserati Quattroporte? To me it's sheer 4-door madness, and definitely one of my dream cars!

I don't know anything about his performance, but from the outside it looks plain ugly.
