Your Faaaave Drifter

There are methods that can let you go faster around different types of turns, on midfield the 1st turn is faster drifted as is the broadest turn in the course..... just a tire in the dirt, two on the rumble strip and one and the road and BOOYAA let the car ride the very inside at 70-110 depending on car hosepower

I use sim tyres on all my drifters and don't like big horsepower. Before my memory card got lost in the post I had a really good setup on the normal AE86 (don't like the shigeno, doesn't have as much torque). At the moment my Hachiroku is a bit snappy although I am going to play with the LSD to remedy it. Going by memories on the old save I would say my top 5 is:

1)AE86
2)RX7 FC3S
3)Chaser
4)S13
5)Supra

Wanna try something crazy?

Try Drifting a fully modded Zonda, Viper, or R34. There is a challenge.

I can do the R34 but not the Viper or Zonda. To much power.

hehe:D:D
my friend.. is an idiot..
he was takin a c12s zonda out for a spin on CS
what he does is strange... he don't know how 2 play... what he doe sis just ride the wall... cheap isn't it?

A fully modded Zonda c12 with the stock 3xx hp is an EXCELLENT drift car...It's a completely different animal once sideway. It has amazing control.

How the hell do you keep it stable when side ways. I always end up spinning no matter how easy I go. I've tired different settings and can't do it. Can you please tell me your settings and sercert?

Well the key is throttle manipulation...Depending on the power of your car your "drift gear" will be anywhere from 2nd to 4th. If you didn't know, the buttons on the ps2 controller are pressure sensitive so you have variable control on how much throttle you're putting down. some times a lot of countersteering is in order too, everything else is just practice.

Also many people drift many different ways...Some use grippy tyres and a lot of horse power, others use simulation tyres. When you first get into simulation tyres with power over 260hps you'll notice that the back wheels feel as if they're on ice...With practice you can harness that and slide your way around turns with relative ease...

Concerning settings....I base all my drift cars around a generic forumla, if you will...Spring rate and ride height may differ slightly but a lot of times they're left stock. Bound/Rebound I tend to keep around the same numbers, it keeps the car more stable. Ie: 4567 going from front bound to rear rebound or 5667. For LSD I tend to keep my torque and accel settings much higher than my decel, that's just how I like it. Downforce I mess with if it's a high powered race car on sim tyres...Adjusting the downforce can really give much more control to the car. Also, if sim tyres aren't your thing, go for super slicks and adjust the downforce so the front has much more weight than the rear...This'll help get the tail out as well as all low LSD settings. Hope this helps.

Thanks I tried some different things along with some of the things you told me and I was able to sorta drift the car. Still it'll take some practice to harness that power. I'm good but not that good yet.

Hey...You have to start somewhere! All I can really suggest is lots of practice and experimentation. Try different drivetrains, power and weight settings, and tyres...
