This is horrible for what i'm paying for.

New connection and new ISP for me! Paying $109 a month for 500GB of data (needed a big limit for the server), and free local, national, mobile, and 1300 phonecalls. Horrible upload/downloads though.

Note: This is through WiFi, I shall post a better result with Ethernet tomorrow. :)

Aussie internet is so cruel...I'm paying 32 Euros for 20mbit (unlimited) + phone. Yet, 100mbit should be available in a few months and cost around 40 Euros, unlimited usage as well. :scared:

Had a massive downfall the other night. 1000 ping, 1.45DL and .13UL. Generally it's about 130 Ping, 2.5DL and .20UL.

It sure is, Mr. S. Rediculous. You have to pay about $150 a month for unlimited.

I took another test with Ethernet, but my connection isn't stable. I saw fluctuations from anything from 0.6MB/s to 12MB/s. So I couldn't get an accurate reading. WiFi is actually more stable, but just a tad slower on average (I only loose about 0.5 - 1.5MB/s DL, UL stays the same no matter what @ 0.67 - 0.68MB/s).

There's a warning folks, don't ever get talktalk
:indiff:

We had TalkTalk in our (student) house for a while and we were lucky if we had it on, when it was it was well over 10mb/s download and whatnot but that was if we're lucky. Today Sky has just kicked in and so far the results are better in the sense we've had internet for a whole day, shame it's crippling slow so I can only browse...

*ahem*

Pity me.

PITY ME.

It looks like we're both at the same page. In Puerto Rico, we have the world's slowest internet service and the world's priciest internet service, as much as $50 for this, and this is in a good day. :( (this is from my laptop with Wi-Fi from a borrowed modem). If anyone want to try out Puerto Rico, be my guest.

Okay, just got my newly installed wireless connection up and running:

Not amazing, but it's far, far better than my old Three Network connection.

We have had issues over the last week with our connection but IDNET our ISP got it sorted. BT's engineer has just finished sorting out a fault on the line so tested the connection. This was done on my iPhone so not from the master socket.

Australian Internet is slowly getting better.

Telstra have just changed their speeds, and which the right modem and plan, you can get 100+ MBPS download. (My neighbour has it and brags about it all the time ;) )

We are getting 500Mbps, up and down, here in the Netherlands, in the not so distant future.

But my 120Mbps is still doing well. And it seems I still top the board in this thread, excluding work and university tests.

I just did a speed test on the same site, my connections not all that bad, 13MB. It would be preferable if it was a little bit faster though.

13MB from a ISP that's well known for giving very rubbish connections to its customers. I did make a "satellite dish" to increase signal strength though. And I set up a PPPoE IP address to make my connection faster.

EDIT: ^^ 120 MB?! I'd kill to have that connection speed!

500?!?! Holy 🤬

How are you getting only 3MB of speed with one of the UK's best ISP's?! The 1MB up speed is okay though.

EDIT:

Have you seen other people's upload speeds? I've seen as low as 0.1mb upload once.

I don't really know.
