Hello everyone.
Slightly controversial topic here, but it is obviously no secret the progress with GT7 evolving has been slow. For instance, up until now, we've only received one new track, that being Watkins Glen. (Edit: Road Atlanta was added in December) I don't want to count the Barcelona rallycross, because rally is more of a side thing in GT, and when rallycross is mentioned, I always think about those wide, fast tracks, and not the opposite that this one is.
I feel with every single content update my motivation drops more and more. Most of the cars we get haven't been that exciting, and PD even had the nerve to add an open roof version of the Porsche VGT. Literally no one wished for one. The only cars I've been really excited about were the GT2 classics Escudo and R30 Silhouette.
What we really need is more tracks. Understandably modeling tracks takes a while, especially if they're real tracks that have been scanned. But we're still waiting for more original tracks. What I wish to see in particular is more old-school tracks from the original three games of the series. The community's most anticipated picks are Red Rock Valley Speedway, Apricot Hill and Grand Valley Speedway. I echo this selectionexcept for Apricot Hill, was never really a fan
And while I can't speak for Daily Races, as I don't do them for obvious reasons, it's worth a mention. Those reasons being the network quality on PS4, and the fact that racing can be quite horrendous. PD seriously needs to address a few things, but I'm quite convinced they just don't care enough. They even dropped the wall contact penalty from the Tokyo 600 grind race, which I honestly did not see coming at all.
Speaking of grind races, we only have 4 viable options, + Sardegna rally for quick cash. And when it comes to races on different tracks, it's unbelievable how some are still sorely lacking races. Take Bathurst for example. Granted, it's not the greatest track for racing, but it features a whopping single race in the selection. At least we finally got something for Nordschleife, as I felt that track was way underused, but Bathurst, among other tracks, needs to be noticed.

Now that we got the main problems out of the way, let's discuss your motivation for GT7. So, how do you feel? Do you still do daily workouts regularly or do you only boot up the game when you have literally nothing better to do? As I've mentioned, my motivation has gone way down, and I just started another hiatus, one which will last until PD finally adds a new track, one that's hopefully a good one, as well as some real classics. I still do the Time Trials, because I wanna keep that gold streak going. But it doesn't exactly count as being an active player, considering I only need to boot up the game three times a month max for the required time for the time trials.
And what about your realistic wishlist, one that could happen? Here is mine:
Tracks
And then it's time for your dreamer wishlist, from which not a single item will likely make it into the game.
Tracks
That's all I could think of right now. I will highlight any entries to my wet dream wishlist I might think of later.
Lastly, I wanna wrap this thread up with, in my opinion, the biggest mystery in all of GT7. That being, what the heck is PD planning to do with the licenses? Only up to A, the second license in order, is required. When are we going to see events that require I-B or higher? This is a question I ask myself nearly every day...
