When you have a nightmare, what is it usualy about?

The nightmares I get are usualy about tornadoes or storms, but luckily I haven't had one for quite some time.

When I was even younger I had even scarier nightmares, of washing machines.

I don't really get any, apart from this one i got the other night. I was threatened with death if i didn't reply to some weird thread. :P

I haven't had one in ages. I used to have them about me being in a car that's heading towards a large solid object at high speed with no driver. I never hit the object though.

Aside from that, there's the usual stuff, like elmo dying and the convo forum being closed. Heh, like that's gonna happen.

I used to have this wierd recurring nighmare. I would picture one of those big swings you'd have on your porch and the background would be all black. All I would see is this swing, but I don't remeber if it was swaying or not. I don't remember ever seeing myself on it, either. It's one of those "falling" dreams that everybody's had, and after a few minutes I would slowly start to feel like I was falling, or like I was laying on the swing in real life and about to roll off. The feeling would build up slowly and then it would bet really strong, just like you feel when you're falling. I would feel, in real life, my body kind of jump when I fell off, like I hit the ground, but I don't remember ever hitting the ground. That's when the dream would end, when I woke up suddenly.
I've had a bunch of different dreams about falling, like one where I slipped off the edge of the Grand Canyon and nobody would help me back up. I was holding on for a little whiil but I'd lose my grip and fall and then wake up. I've never hit the ground in any of these dreams, though. Any of you guys ever hit the ground in your falling dreams?

I usually have the same nightmare over, and over again.

I'm on a white horse. I'm wearing loincloth shorts ala Tarzan. I'm traveling through a dense forest when I come to a clearing.

Hot, beautiful women in Roman-like Togas are all around me. I'm thinking, "Well, helloooooo ladies!" But, they start to giggle. Then, point and laugh as I head toward a pyramid. I get off the horse, and walk up the steps of the pyramid, and these gorgeous women, I'm mean not a ugly Heifer in the bunch, just start pointing at me and laugh.

I get to the top of the pyramid, and they all just start busting out laughing. I check myself to see if something embarrassing happened. I can't find a damn thing wrong! Next thing you know it, I'm naked. Then, the women start throwing little cocktail weenies at me, still laughing like mad!

I then look down, and notice my penis is about the size of a child's pinkie. I scream, and wake up absolutely terrified. I check "myself" and notice it was all just a nightmare.

Am I the only one who has this dream?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You got a pinkie dick! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! :sigh: Yeah, I've had a dream like that before.:indiff:

I just had a nightmare that I spoke to Famine. He is not from up north.

Ok some things just needent be shared.....:scared:
J/K that's probably the worst nightmare a man can have :ouch:

I, myself never have nightmares, only very obscure strange dreams. Am i abnormal? :indiff:

Maybe i'll start to write my dreams down, to see if i can figure out what they mean, and share them with you lot for a laugh

Speaking of meanings, my psychology class experimented with that about a week ago. The teacher had us write some highlights of a recurring dream we've had, then get in a "dream dictionary" and onto some dream-interpreting websites and see if their interpretations seemed legitimate or not. My conclusion: dream dictionaries are bullcrap. I know a kid who dreamed about a few of his buddies hanging out in the woods, just messing around. All the sudden a shotgun, with no shooter--just floating in the air--pops up and shoots his best friend, killing him. Now, this kid is an avid hunter, and he's kind of goofy, so you'd think he was just having a jokesters dream about hunting. The dictionary pretty much said the dream meant he was gay and in love with his friend whom the gun shot. It related the gun to a penis and the shooting, to, well, you get the idea. Almost everything in those dictionaries is about sexual feelings or some sort of emotion. They aren't a bit reliable.

Mine are always about work. It sucks. I'd rather have a dream where someone is trying to kill me than have a dream about stuff going wrong at work.

Thankfully, I don't remember too many dreams.

Just recently I had one where my step father and I had a fight and I woke up just before the impact of his kick landed me in the face...:ouch:

It's strange - dreams can make me think of certain things or people in a whole new way. I might having a strong feeling of sentimentality for someone who I have never really cared about as much if I have a dream about them, though the feeling usually goes away after a day or so.

Bad dreams for me usually involve me trying to run from something, but not be able to escape fully because I'll trip or fall constantly. Either that or the standard "fall-off-cliff" dream, but that's not really a deep-sleep type of deal.

When I was little my nightmares always involved plane crashes. In one of them my entire family was on a small boat and out of nowhere a Cessna dives right towards us. I don't know if it hit us, because I woke up.

Does anybody actually die in their dreams?

No, I get strange dreams as well.

A lot of the time, they're personal, but with some of the strangest fantasy in them. And not like magic, I mean like, no way that guy got with that girl. Fantasy like that.

But I've never been killed, though I have seen people die, and once even shot a few myself. :scared:

My worst nightmare was when my friends were all lined up, on their knees with a man walking along them and shooting them in the head.

Well, the man got down to person I like, and when the man's faced appeared, it was me. But in the dream, I never pulled the trigger on her. I just stood there, gun in her face, watching the horror of her expression.:guilty:

Then I awoke. Scares me every time. And I hate it to no end. Makes me want to see her and just hold her.
Let's see those dream dictionaries solve that.

My nightmares / bad dreams are always about large buildings, with lots of different rooms, doors, steps, hallways, elevators etc..

I try to find my way out of the building, but instead of getting out of there, I only end up in rooms that are getting smaller and smaller everytime.

And though there is no one around, I do have a very strong feeling like I am being watched. :scared:

Are you being pressurized by people to make the right descision?

The only ever recurring dream I had was when I was about 12 and I kept dreaming that my guinea pig kept escaping from its run. They were quite detailed aswell.

last night i had a very strange dream. in part of it my 14 year old younger brother tried to kill me and i cut his head off with a tonto and he bursted into flames. there were other things that happened before and after but thats the most notable :P

I don't usually have any nightmares, but when I do, it is usually about being shot. It probably comes from seeing shooting reports on the news in Milwaukee, where more people are murdered annually than in NYC.

I used to have loads of nightmares, not so much now though.

One I particually remember was where I'm just fall for ages before I falling into some kind of tunnel, sliding down it I fall out onto a matress full of used syringes (:boggled:) and then I look around and see a whole load of dead bodies pinned onto a wall. At the end of this wall is like a demonic creature (kinda resembled William from Resident Evil 2 now that I think of it).

Cue wake up in cold sweat.
:nervous:

Wow you guys have some scary nightmares, id hate to wake up suddenly like that.
Actually now that i think of it, i do remember having one nightmare.
I cant remember much, although i can say it came after watching michael jacksons thriller when i was about 7

Haven't had any in a long time. They used to be about tornadoes though because i used to love tornadoes as a small kid (not like, like them, but i was interested). I'd always watch tornado shows and stuff.

I used to always have nightmares about getting trapped somewhere. The one I remember the best was when I was trapped in Home Depot, and these giant people wearing a mask that resembles Michael Jackson were hunting me down. I grabbed some random guns lying in a store aisle, and shot my way out, only to be stuck to a giant spider web outside and almost eaten by a giant spider. :nervous:

Same here. I am still interested in them, but no where as much as I was a few years ago.

Cars = pretty much taken over everything. :D

Amazingly, I don't think I've had 1 nightmare about a car.
