One thing that really, really bugs me is the headlights for standards and premiums,
Why was it not possible to have standards with high and low beam lights, given what PD have achieved would this minor inclusion have been so difficult to pull off?

I've mentioned it a few times yet nobody really seems to discuss it. In the Standard video we see the Alpine and Alfa, and their lights are just like GT4's; nothing more than a texture on the ground a few inches from the car. Not like the day-to-night transition available to play, with the WRC cars, where their lights are actually illuminating their path, and projecting light realistically. It's a bit worrying that Standards could have an inherent handicap then.

Im a little bothered, but really the only time I use the interior view anyway is when I'm driving just for fun. I always raced in the hood view in forza and the roof cam in GT games. The no interior thing disappointed me but adding a hood view to GT5 made up for it IMO.

I find it odd. The headlights are just textures so all they did to give them actual light beams, is pick a point on the "headlight" where the light originates and that's pretty much it. SO my question is, what stopped them from doing that again to have another set of beams, high beams, come out of the same point?

Well, they have already modelled the GT-Four Rally car in premium detail (link below). It would be strange if PD didn't add the ST205 road version to the game, since they've modelled most of the car already.

Nothing to worry about, IMO. 👍

I always forget about that! As long as it's available for rally and, thus, dirt racing I'm a happy man because that's pretty much what I planned to use it for! Huge Celica fan so it's nice to know one of the older ones will be modelled to premium (not a fan of the new style Celicas).

Now, if they could get the 1991 RC1 variant, game of the year all years! I'm all about the pop up head lights!

It's only I'm thinking that all "Legendary" and "Special" cars will be premiums? (among with "New Models")

Sorry me but - those cars are standards? They're looks much better than "standard cars trailer" or it's me?
Can someone provide Photo-Mode screen-shot of this NSX in GT4 to compare?

The only issue I worry about with that line of reasoning though; PD's proved just because one model is Premium, that a similar one won't always be as well. The R8 road cars are both Premiums, meanwhile the R8 LMS is a Standard...

Oh wow. That's how the standards look??? That is 10x better than the standard car trailer video! Now, it can't compare to the premiums, but that looks great to me.

For me, I think all cars will be worth it, every single one will use the same physics engine. Also explain on what do you mean by "worth it".

Even if they are few, I hope they will be the rare cars, super cars, next gen cars. Not just focus on rally cars, nascars, and mini. I fear that NAScar and rally cars will eat up the number of the 200 cars.

That is not a GT5 image. I don't know where it is from (GTPSP trailer most likely), but it has clearly been edited into the image. It does not show GT5, these cars are not running in the GT5 engine (Though they are likely to be in GT5).

The sector time shows there is a car +1.234 ahead, but if you look at the map there isn't any cars ahead.

The car shown on the screen does not match the map location, and there is only one car there on the map where you can see 2 on-screen.

The G-force meter should be static as the car isn't turning. If it's started turning, then it's going the wrong way.

102km/h is very slow for that section in a GT500 car.

The colour of the car does not match the colour of the car icon showing the race positions (If you look at the unedited SLS pics below, they do match).

Suzuka doesn't have 5 sectors.

He's on lap 1 and it shows a time for the previous lap

His current lap is in excess of 5 minutes. Aside from the fact that he's not even halfway around the track, that is a very pitiful time for Suzuka, and it's amazing how he is running in 5th place.

Everything about that image is edited, nothing matches, nothing is consistent. It baffles me as to why these images were posted on the official site. To me that clearly highlights that these information pages are not created by employees of Polyphony Digital, but by (amateur?) journalists employed by Sony.

There is another edited image;

This image shows GT5Prologue. Again, there are inconsistencies in the images, aswell as a thin white/grey bar at the bottom of the race camera (Which isn't in the actual shots)

The only screens we have that have not been edited are these:

These screen shots of the B-Spec Mode are great. More detailed than GT4. I can't what every time I see a new shot my blood starts to race even more. I'm glad I asked for 4 days off from work once GT5 is here.

I still can't get over we can watch the race and stay on the menu. They have have thought of almost everything. Though I'm waiting to see what else comes to light.

I think it's because the interior is different, and we know by now how much effort PD puts into the cockpits, so it would be better to keep it standard than something with a half-arsed cockpit :)

I hope quite the opposite.

Maybe they are more detailed, however I see that the driver behavior "programs" have changed from five (was it slow down/relax/normal pace/pace up/aggressive or something similar?) to three in GT5. Also I don't see fuel level anywhere, unless it's the blue/red bar under the driver name.
I guess these (even the unedited ones) must still be temporary/mock-up screens.

Oh, I'm sure that could be the reason, which is why I point out that just because we saw a Celica rally car, doesn't mean to expect any road car as a Premium. It's possible tough.

There were rally cars in the standards video.

Hope you're joking, the DS is probably even more significant and iconic than the E-type regardless which you prefer.
Always wondered why GT didn't include the DS ( or the SM ), I remember Enthusia did.
I love the DS and the E-type, you might not like the DS but this car is a legendary milestone in car history whether you like the styling or not ( I love the styling ), which can never be said of the previous gen C5.

You missunderstand me! I would choose DS any day :D

Polygonal model of the Nissan is the same that we saw years ago in the video "Vision Gran Turismo" with the lighting improvements that will have GT5 ( ¿? )

Every time I think the differences between the two types of cars will be huge when sharing screen. :ouch:

Sorry for the quality of the youtube capture :

There are 4 in the above picture.
