Good lad, ta very muchly...

{Cy}
:D Thank god for public holidays. But if you're lucky, I'll either be done with the entire thing in that hour I have free before my lesson tomorrow or the typhoon hits Hong Kong bang on the dot, school is canceled and I get to spend more time with the lovely super cars you've made.

Uhm did C-ZETA extend the testing deadline? I thought all test results were to be final on the 3rd of October...
NascarManiaco67 (Or whatever it was ) will be done tomorrow, but as there are only 4 testers, the deadline is a tad more flexible. It's basically the last one to submit who ends this shootout.

Y U NO WRITE MY USERNAME RIGHT ?

Nah joking, just add 32 to the number and you have it right

I don't like usernames with random numbers at the end  99 is easy to remember though, so I failed at that

I'll have you know there is nothing random about my number!
'67 was a great year.
I mean really it gave you such timeless classics as the Cougar XR-7, Skyline 2000GT-B, Cosmo Sport/110S (L10A), 2000GT, 330 P4 Race Car, Chaparral 2D Race Car, Mark IV Race Car, Honda N360, Lamborghini Miura P400 Bertone Prototype CN.0706 and Me your favorite outlaw!:gtpflag:

I dare you to come up with a better year than that. Can't do it can you?

Wanders off mumbling about young punks with 123s in their name spouting off about random numbers...:odd:

Tell you what..instead of doing the full rally testing schedule I was gonna use, I'll just give some simple evaluations now. It's clearly gonna take far too long, so instead I'll just do one session on each surface now. Plus there's now a new shootout up so it would be probably best to get this one done now.

I Personally don't care if your testing is extended was just curious was all.
Please don't feel rushed because the next shootout has been posted as testing for it is a couple weeks away.
That said while I admired your goal of testing on so many tracks I thought it might prove to be overly ambitious even with the fairly limited number of entries for this shootout compared to the previous three.

Perhaps a more limited test schedule for you to determine your top picks could be followed over time with the in depth testing and further reports/reviews on the cars. That way those who want to conclude things here in a timely fashion are taken care of while those of us who might enjoy the results of such extensive testing and feedback it could provide us as tuners would still have something to look forward to.💡:gtpflag:

Yea, it's the 'Autumn' Shootout. It's already getting to winter cold temperatures around here!

And @ Desperado, I can. 90s. Mazda MX5, RX7, Honda EK9, NSX, Integra, Mitsubishi Evo, GTO, Subaru Impreza, Nissan GTR, S14, S15, Suzuki Cappuccino, Daihatsu Cuore TR-XX Avanzato R, etc. :D

I said year...not decade!:lol: Besides the Crappuccino costs you points!:lol:

Final results for me are now properly up, although not in the way I would have properly liked, but what can I say.

Uhm...Wow! Not what I expected and I sort off feel bad, like maybe I pushed you to rush your decision-making process unfairly.:guilty:
Thanks though and I'm glad you found it so well balanced as an all around tune.👍👍

Tarmac: Not brilliant into corners and slidey out of them. OK acceleration but not as great as would be expected. 1st gear does need to be shorter in general.

This constant whinge about 1st from everyone makes no real sense to me. It COULD be shorter on tarmac but it's not terribly boggy and really once moving it doesn't matter any. Corner behavior is roughly as expected albeit a bit backwards from what I felt (was more stable on throttle than off).

Gravel: Has a surprisingly low limit to its cornering before spinning out. Said limit is much easier to hit in tighter corners though, it's alright in medium angle corners.

If you've spun it I'm not sure what to say.

Snow: Hard to keep in a straight line, and hopeless in tighter turns. Back of the class here I'm afraid.

Whaaaaat?!? ... Hard to keep in a straight line? Hopeless in tighter turns?

HOW? The thing feels so ridiculously "right" on snow that I can't see how in hell you're having trouble. Snow was the last place I expected this car to do poorly in...

Maybe you're more of a hack than I thought.

To be fair, you never tested it without ABS off, which would have made a difference to your results. I did use ABS, meanwhile.

To be fair, ABS on would just make it understeer more under braking on dirt and snow... Not make it harder to stay in a straight line or easier to spin.

If I did understeer though under braking then that could give me less eventual turn in in the end though. Again though, I was using ABS on all cars at 1, since I never put it in the OP beforehand you went for 0 but oh well.

.....

Seems once again you type something in English but it isn't English I understand.

:ill:

In short, no ABS would be better, because of the understeer from braking without it.

Because I had it on, I got better steering initially, which made the steering different as a whole.

... I think you misunderstood me.

ABS ON (as in ABS 1, as in HOW YOU TESTED IT) will result in MORE understeer on entry/while braking.

ABS OFF (as I tuned it) would help loosen it on entry, thereby making it EVEN MORE oversteery and probably kill you more often.

Forgive me then, I can't read. Thought it said off before

@ ryangt, as I said, I'm not done yet with it. The results will be posted when I'm back from school.
