One thing please. I never drive this Mt Aso or Toscane tarmac.... Alaska ??? Never see in this game. Only in the challenges. Where are they??

They're courses made in the course creator.

I tuned offline since you can't take borrowed cars online. Not sure about anyone else.

...I haven't given you specs yet...you've literally managed to completely miss a few points. However, since your tune is already out, I'll just give you the specs here...you need at most 300hp and at least 1230kg weight.

Since you missed the rule, I'll let you buy a new Mini Cooper '05 for this, in the same colour.

Translate the name of this car from French to English and you’ll get a clear idea of what I think of this car.

If you find the car is making more than 90bhp, increase the engine limiter.
Haters' gonna hate, I love the MFT one though :D But pre-200hp, it's just a french VW Beetle.

Sorry i didn't see this part,now i see the number 7.
300hp / 1230 is 0.2439 hp per kg
235hp / 1004 is 0.2340 hp per kg
So it's very close and will change nothing in performance ,but can change the tune, why not let my tune like this ??

As in why not choosing the specs? Well I want to set a challenge for the tuners by making the cars they get in certain specs for the shootout, in your case with the Mini, the specs are identical to the new Countryman WRC, except I think the specs are a bit lower than the Countryman WRC, I can't remember if it can reach the power of the Countryman (320bhp I think?). However the weight is definitely reachable, the weight is actually 1200kg as opposed to 1230 like what I said, was using the specs of older WRC rally cars.


...Ahem. I see that weight number. Alas, getting another 206 will be...kinda hard, I do admit. You'll be in a bit of a tight spot now you haven't tuned your car correctly...

C-ZETA is being a pedant. He wants your mini to have as close a spec sheet as you can get it to the WRC mini. That's 300hp and 1230kg. So just apply your tune to a maxed out mini with 1230kg! :D

The '05 Mini Cooper can reach 321HP with the Supercharger on it. (Doesn't have the option of using turbochargers.)

I want you to follow certain specs for your cars to give you a challenge and to try and make some rally style replicas. Also, you do not have to follow the power and weight regulations exactly, just make sure you don't go over the max power or underweight. So in terms of power you were fine, just you were far too underweight with no way to get it back. read my edit actually.

I'm comparing with all the tuners here to see who makes the best rally car - which is why the winner is not based on speed alone. And you don't have to keep it the same colour at all really...but I want you to keep the same car. The idea of the shootout is to try and work with a car you don't know you'll be working with and tune it up for rallying, following set specs to make it a challenge for the entrants.

I do understand that it's complicated, and it is a wide difference over the previous three shootouts, but I just wanted to try something different. Plus, rally tuning hardly gets represented here in my eyes and tends to be left in the dark among other more specialised tuning methods.

Hope this gets the point across a little bit better.

EDIT: Actually...I've just remembered that since the Countryman is 1200 rather than 1230kg, you only need to give it a (quite frankly whopping) 196kg ballast and your car will be perfectly ready. Just hope you ain't sold it yet :sly:
 
I think it's this whole "I'll PM you the specs" thing. Perhaps if all the specs were laid out on the first page there would be less confusion?

But that gets rid of the secrecy thing since other tuners would know what the specs would be for the cars beforehand.

Just need some online fine tuning later to publish it.

Good to see it's been cleared up now. Also remember, 196 as opposed to 194 as 1198 is still underweight. Weight positioning does not matter, though putting in so much ballast will give you almost free command over your weight balance :lol: Not sure of the weight balance for all of the individual cars though, I haven't found a website that goes into complete detail of specs.

Also I really do wish the old Mini was in the rally base ticket. Getting it to the specs of the old Monte Carlo Rally winners would be awesome to see someone tune at :D

I duped the ticket to my second account, so I can log on with that one and keep cycling until I get another one.

I think perhaps detailing the restrictions for each vehicle up front, might have avoided confusion. Max power output and Minimum weight, blah de blah. We could then have referred to the list without revealing to the audience what we got.

I know you've got your hands full, so don't sweat it, but you ought to go re-read your PMs and you might understand why I misunderstood about maximums and minimums :sly:

If you can't I can let you instead follow the Group N specs for the 206, which is 177bhp/1125kg. However, even like that your current tune is just a little too light to be able to get it down to that.

It's ok dude, I should have applied some logic. I'm sore at myself for not having duped the car itself. I was in a bit of a panic about applying undoable things to it anyway. I'm cycling the ticket now, done it about a dozen times already.

I did do a quick tot up of the various components and I believe after everything being bolted on, it would hit 270BHP. I hadn't oiled it at that point, but I doubt it'll give me an extra 30BHP. Might be best to sitck it in the Group N specs. An exhaust and small turbo should get it to there nicely and I'd only have to add 40kg 👍

I've got a secondhand one with 13k on the clock, thus far untouched, I'm happy to use that...

HATERS GONNA HATE, HATERS GONNA HATE! :lol: It's just a french VW Beetle, give it to MFT, they turn it into a 200hp hornet…or something :lol: It does drive quite nicely after you give it something to drive the wheels with.

Yeah, you can use that. If anything since you already did the tune you'd be better just keeping the original colour though. Even though you didn't like it :P

The old Beetle actually is not bad to drive at all when fully modded. I have had a Schwimmwagen, SambaBus, Kubelwagen, Karmann, Beetle and Golf I all fully modified up and they are all actually pretty good to drive. And troll with :D

After dealing with the other Alpine already, no thanks. :yuck: At least the Beetle doesn't pretend to be a sports car when it clearly isn't.
