Zero Cup: zero tuning (PS4) - STOPPEDPS4

Stock Supra but with Max boost, not randoms but people from the group. As for brakes, I haven't found the RX7 to be that much better on brakes and corners to make up the difference. Possibly could on a tight twisty circuit, but at Silverstone where there are 4 long straights I can't see it. Consultancy, as always will be key.

Don't get me wrong I'm not moaning, as I plan to be in the Mazda, just bringing it up as discussion.

And consistency. I never said the rx7 was competitive against the supra or suggest it ,just that a bit more time could be found but not 4 seconds:tup:

Hello Everybody.

Hope you are all well.....

Have a question,

Which Car we drive on Wednesday at Silverstone?

Because 2 cars are called.

Meaby I understand it wrong....

You pick the one you prefer.

Guys, what about we limit the boost setting on the Supra to a lower value? That involves trust that all the Supra drivers do limit their car but hey, the Zero Cup, with the tools we currently have, is all about trust anyway.

If this becomes too much of a headache, we'll change the event by tonight.

What do you think?

Change the event or just run with 2 classes, we post video's to show we love and respect each other, l mean some of us do,l see people getting taken out in my mirrors and it looks really bad! but no video posted to shown a different view but l trust they are just racing incidents.

What are the numbers if 8 or less run with the rx7 for close racing?

I'll take it as it is, racing is racing!

If everyone is using the same car (as long as 8 or less), great, but if there is a mix, at least we should have comparable cars to race with RX7's vs RX7's and Supra's vs Supra's. If you see where I'm coming from!

Edit, should be on tonight for anyone looking to run some laps!

2 classes then:) How do you decide on how to limit the turbo power when 1 person's lap is 2 seconds faster than the other supra fastest lap time's who's are 3 seconds faster than the RX7's?

After a bit of testing I've come to the arbitrary decision that if you drive the Supra, you'll have to set the turbo to 50% boost only. It may still not be a 50/50 balance but it'll bring the racing closer. Consider this a multi class race if you want, or not. As long as we have entertaining races...

Edit: The rules have never stated that changing the turbo boost setting on the fly was not allowed. Since changing the TC seeing is allowed, the turbo boost should also be. The Supras are then not limited. In effect this will lead to a multi class race but the RX7 drivers will be allowed to defend their position in a reasonable manner. A bit like a lower team F1 driver defending reasonably when a top team driver ends up behind them after a pit stop.

The good news is that I'm going to avoid these types of situations in the future...

I'm going to also add a few more events to the calendar.

Finally, note that if an event is fully booked, it doesn't mean you can't join, obviously, or that you'll end up in the 2nd audio chat party. When the event is about to start, I'll invite everyone in the group chat.

Intense racing with Standard Control in the Super Supras at Silverstone GP. Full boost with the aid of traction control in the slow corners

My fastest lap of the evening a 2:21:201, trying to catch Standard Control who managed a 2:20:314.

I'm going to try something.

By no means this is to be taken as a benchmark!
I also changed the view to include the wheel (I usually use the dash cam).

This track is really bumpy and there are sections where trying to go side by side would be suicidal. It won't be boring...

Not tried it yet is it that bad? is it known as a death track in real life, are you saying not to go side by side? have to check it out in the scud.

Between 0:38 and 0:48 it's really narrow.
There are places to overtake but patience will be required.

Personally it's my favourite track in the game.

Oh right so you know it really well then, I've not driven it but it doesn't look to difficult 3 constant hairpins a few straights and section that reminds of suzuka the curves after the big hairpin @ the begining, you can coach me let me know your track secrets. 1:40.670 time to beat.

It's not a really difficult track. The sweeping curves are to be taken flat out so it's not like Suzuka. But because the car is so quick and the track narrow, there is little room. And the bumps want to catch you. In the video you can tell how twitchy the car gets.

That said, we can certainly practice together. :)

The suzuka curves being as how they looked on hud map, l could see you going flat through them, will be interesting if you can squeeze past on the narrow part? certainly practice that with you:crazy:

I'd offer to stream my races for you to watch live, but that would be even more cruel... :D

Its looking very unlikely I will be able to make tonight's race at all, I was previously thinking I would just be a bit late, but that is looking less likely now.

So, Enjoy and have a good evening.
Laters all.

Bummer! When does the PS4 rewrite new video footage? soon as the race is over or in the pits? Cannot believe it is gone as that was fun seeing standard_control's fender on my sides as we were heading downhill.

Don't know what happened on the last tuned race/supras? My game froze while we sat crossed the line as I was behind Darth. First time I've had any game freeze with Assetto Corsa.

Also never knew with the beefier cars if the conical cone is too far which was giving me nice braking power, it done absolute squat in the supra's. Once dialled all the way back on the T3PA I had braking power. Also had never been in these cars before, scary when the brakes weren't engaging as the ABS/feel wouldn't kick in. Those cars were starting to become quite fun once I had brakes.

Need to get new springs for these T3PA pedals as they're pathetically weak.

These Porsche's are going to be hella fun in this series!

For the videos, do you double tap the Share button to start and then again to finish, as explained in the Rule Book?

I thought it records all the time? Rewrites whatever duration you've set. Mine is that weird dial switch for the share button.
