I have to say this update is amazing and by far the best one yet, who else is loving it I sure am! The Vision GT Subaru sounds amazing, handles well and fun to drive, almost impossible to spin it out.

Suzuka 2014 love the replay camera angles and the sunset just a shame they couldn't do day/night transition.

This new sound feature great improvement always had faith in PD they know how to make us happy.

Oh and last but definetly not least "Community" I'm going to have so much fun with this as I'm sure everyone else will!

Keep it up PD!

Is your new PS4 good?👍

Shame our wheels won't work, with it, my Thrustmaster joystick is compatible, though. Should have got one of these wheels, now:guilty:

I'm playing with the club again, so some of you may get some test messages and invitations, etc... Please keep an eye on this thread for the next few days because stuff is about to happen/change.

If you haven't found out by yourselves yet, I strongly encourage you to go to the Club Events and have a look how things happen.

Select a club event, and then you'll get the option to reserve your seat by clicking "Enter" (the option to withdraw then appears, but you don't really want to do that... ;)). The equivalent on gran-turismo's website looks like this:

Once the time of the event arrives, an extra "Rooms" button will appear on the top right (in game, not on the website).

I shall create a room at that time (which also means that events starting times will be as early as 19:30 and perhaps even earlier... something yet to be decided).

I doubt that the room will be visible the old way, you'll have to go through the club's interface to reach the room so please get yourselves aquainted with the system.

If I have sent invitations to drivers who no longer have the time or will to join the Zero Cup, apologies, I've tried to be sensible but may have forgotten some withdrawals.

I will update shortly. Probably.

EDIT: the quickest way to join an upcoming event is to select the 'Current Club Events' shortcut at the top of the Community screen.

I can't change the track and grid order after a race...
We can work around the grid order limitation by having 3 manual grids but for the tracks, I'm a bit stuck...

EDIT:

We should be ok if we use a room that is NOT tied to an event.*
So events are only there to remind you of what's coming up and so people can reserve their seat (it would be nice if you guys can make this effort :embarrassed:).

When it comes to Monday night, it looks like you'll need to go to the Zero Cup club, select Club Lobby (on the left, between Overview and Club Events) and hopefully, you should see a room created there.

Not perfect but it should work.

* Also by not tying a room to an event, I don't have to set up the event as early as 19:30, although I probably will, to encourage drivers to turn up early rather than late.

Events can also be used to share photos easily!

1st post and Rule book updated to reflect the recent changes. Let me me know if it's not clear enough.

EDIT: can someone confirm that they can reserve a grid spot at an event for which they have not received an invitation? I'm hoping I don't need to invite everyone individually for each event. Thanks!

EDIT 2: I might have found a bug. When I entered the last 2 events, the number of participants did not change... that could be fun...

Loving the new community aspect within GT6, its how the game should have been from the beginning. Great ideas moving forward for GT7 though, and finally a nod towards some proper sound design!

Anyway just popping in to say I'm available tomorrow night if theres a spot free. Havent bought the car yet but I'll do that this afternoon and I'll check out that invitation/grid spot @WarriusZero

Indeed, reserve your spot directly from the Club Event. :)

Not just yet: the text for news, descriptions, forum, etc is limited to 140 characters... Not enough!! This is not twitter!!

What's missing for now:

- List of drivers participating in events (even I can't see it!!)
- Ability to set up events with more than one round
- Link between events (attribution of points, reverse grids..)

Just bought the clio and had a quick practice. This is where I'm at;

Cape Periphery: 1:57's
Apricot Reverse: 1:42's
London: 1:04's

All ran online with fuel and tyre degradation, real edge physics etc etc. Basically as the lobby will be.

Not a fan of London as it's so dark and potentially violent! First time I've ran Apricot Reverse though and wow its a challenge! I suggest at least a few goes if you're in the same boat as me. Quite hard to master and especially in the dark!

All that aside I'm loving this little Clio! You can really throw it around, so I won't be surprised to find there's a lot more lap time to come.

I am curious if club events you have registered to will show with the friends filter in the lobby. I have joined some public club events from the lobby so would make sense to me...

Not sure I can make it tomorrow yet :(

Ive joined to play tonight, ive got gout in my wrist though :( and just practiced and im struggling to press the brake button, its 50/50 for me, depends if the drugs kick in :odd: if im not there i apologise and will be there next week definetly. 👍

Not going to make any formal protests, but I found the general driving standards in the first lap of the first race pretty lacking. It may not have been as appalling as it seemed from in the car, but it was still pretty bad.

1. Be patient
2. Hold your line as best you can
3. Don't dive bomb
4. Be aware, cars ahead of you may have to avoid others
5. If there's contact, it's almost assuredly not a clean pass (shouldn't this be blindingly obvious?)
6. BE PATIENT. IF YOU'RE FAST, YOU'RE GOING TO END UP TOWARD THE FRONT ANYWAY. No need to freakin' shoulder us slower guys out of the way! :grumpy:

>,<;
