I almost missed that, @LongbowX , I saw it just before I saw your reply, at the last minute.

Sorry but I have to give 2 penalties (see results above) for reckless driving in race 1 / lap 1. There were some small, almost understandable contacts in turn 1, although they could have been avoided by being a bit more careful (i.e. don't dive on the inside, we're not the AI!!).

Later on in lap 1, there were more contacts, especially in the carousel, most of which @amarynceos was the victim.

But the worse was to come. @WestRoadZ bumped @Captain Roh out of the way in the right hander after the carousel, and @Captain Roh did the same (a bit more spectacular actually) to @LongbowX a few hundred yards later.

:irked:

These moves are really bad. Mistakes happen but these moves, followed by no concession whatsoever, are bad. We enjoy most of the racing with you guys, so please, check the replays from the other driver's point of view and hear us. We all do mistakes but let's learn from them. The other drivers are also encouraged to check this first lap from every driver's point of view, and you will see when a driver really does his best to give room and/or makes a genuine mistake and corrects it. And the moves to avoid!!

Don't ruin other people's evening (or afternoon...)!!
The rest of the evening was in comparison relatively calm...

Thanks for being so many to turn up for the races, it makes a massive difference and encourages me to carry on.
Sorry that @Sjaak still couldn't stay connected with us, I don't know what's going on...

Can't argue with that, my incident was a combination of being annoyed from the previous corner and losing control at the next, I did everything I could to slow down but it was too late. I got through the corner and immediately checked my rear view for longbow, I was fixing to slow down but he entered the pause menu so fast I decided to carry on.

In my opinion all the little bumps and shunts around the beginning of the lap are kind of inexcusable too. I hold my hand up for my own first corner, I missed the braking point because of the number of cars even though I was dragging my brake what I thought was very early on. But as others have said all the way around lap one I was being punted and shunted because people are so impatient they would rather hit than lift. It's not good driving.

I enjoyed some good races last night regardless and again thanks to Warrius for organising them. I hope anyone who raced with me, those incidents set aside, can vouch for my race craft and clean driving.

I can vouch for you Roh. Your patience at apricot hill cost you a victory. If you had just been a tad more aggressive you could have cleared me and coasted to the win but you waited and waited and waited to set up the right pass by getting a good run and we were caught by that point. Your race craft was noticed and appreciated. Sorry for holding you up, I got caught up in the fact that I might pull one out against such a stacked field. Im not normally in such a position.

@WarriusZero you might want to consider to a lap counted race for nurburgring for Monday.

We'll end up doing 3 laps anyway, won't we?

Also - although the Solstice is great, I'm not sure it's suited to Spa due to how short its gearing is?

I'm aware of the short gearing, yes. In my practice, I only hit the limiter in the Kemmel straight. That was offline so we should be slower online.
The rest of the track is bliss tho.

I don't know, I think we will be hitting it on that straight. And any limiter (or near limiter) running just reduces the ability to pass effectively. But, it's your call. :)

I switched to Ascari. Spa will come the week after, with a car that won't hit the limiter. :)
