ive cancelled my copy of project cars til i see a review, i know one person said the graphics are no better than gt6, shame we cant get game reviews days before the release but they black that, il order it if it gets decent marks.

Its like getting blood out of a stone getting decent ps4 games....im sure some will come along.

Having played the PS4 version, expectedly, it looks nowhere near as good as the screens and trailers want us to believe. What is surprising, however, is that it also doesn’t drive as well as expected, either.

While Driveclub has (rightly) been receiving high praise for it’s amazing visual fidelity, Project Cars fails to come close. Environments are bland and lifeless, more akin to Gran Turismo 6’s personality-vacant effort on PS3. The static look of everything you drive by makes the world appear bereft of oxygen, while the urban landscapes include buildings lacking detail and depth. Race attendees included in certain tracks don’t do much to add to the atmosphere, as they appear to have stopped by after attending an old-gen wrestling match, and their scarcity only worsens the overall look.

It’s a huge disappointment that Project Cars fails to look anywhere near as good as any next-gen racer, considering all the hype. The fact that even the over-a-year-old Forza 5 comfortably outshines it in every aspect is a real shame.

If you want graphics head for PC town, these consoles were under powered when they came out, they're not gonna set your tv on fire with beauty.

I’m all for two more weeks of the Zero Cup! Even If I may miss some of the events…

As for Project CARS – well two weeks is nothing and I don’t mind the delay if it will make the game better. I’m a WMD member and I can tell you that the graphics, even on my old PC, look better than GT6 by a considerable margin. The PS4 clips I’ve seen also look better than what my PC can run, so I’m not worried about the graphics quality.

How it drives is another question. To be honest I haven’t tried it of late. I need a few free, quiet hours to test it properly and try different settings and car/track combinations. I was going to do so this Sunday, but it looks like I’ll have to be working. Will give you some personal feedback when I get the chance.

And for the lack of PS4 games – I don’t know mate, between Destiny, GTA V, Diablo 3 RoS (co-op with the GF) and all the free PSN+ games, I haven’t really felt like there isn’t enough to play. Quite the opposite – my gaming time in the past months was more than 90% on the PS4.

My gaming time is about 95% ps4 drandiiski, im not mocking it, im just having "cold turkey" waiting for metal gear solid 5 and hopefully a less Halo call of duty...also the next fifa, my main game is actually "the golf club"..GTA 5 is an absolute classic on the PS4 and i even stopped playing the ps3 version after 20% as i knew id get the game.

I even play retro games on the ps3 like "commando"..."ghost and goblins" graphics are not a massive thing for me but i do expect it to be like the youtube clips and not feel conned if i pre order it for the ps4 and it turns out to be a let down, im a little bit worried why they wont allow you to join the project forums....unless ive missed something there and theyre all raving about the ps4 game.

I hope its stunniing and i have the game a few days after release.

Anyway back to gt6......im happy with more weeks yes :D

Reading the review I wouldn't put much weight on it... Missing Rewind option... Come on... I think the reviewer is comparing the game to the likes of Grid Autosport. I like the atmosphere in that game like helicopter hovering over car and stuff. Something in GRID AS gives a sense of immersion that lacks in GT making GT feel bit erm... Clinical? Sterile? something like that... The reviewer seems to put too much weight on that and calling it all graphics... That is my guess anyway...

So I think I get the reviewer's point but in the end as a sim GT is still much better than Grid AS and I am sure PCARS will be great in same terms. Not dynamic adrenalin filled playground but a sim platform (for modders to save on pc, is my guess...). I would not rush getting it on a console myself...

The reason they would not allow you to join the forums is that you have to be a member. Unfortunately they had to stop the funding because of some legal reasons, so no new members. It is not because they are hiding something and I’m sure they wouldn’t mind a million or two more funds, but that’s that.

I understand that you don’t’ want to be burned by pre-ordering and that’s perfectly fine. Pre-ordering a bad practice and should die. I’ve pre-ordered just 2 or 3 games in the past and they turned out OK. But now I think it is not worth it. Even Blooodborne that I’m fully expecting to be a great game will not make me pre-order. It is better to wait a few days and pay a few bucks more, than be burned by a crappy game.

Anyway maybe we shouldn’t flood the Zero Cup thread with this chatter. There is a sub-forum for pCARS and PMs for that.

What's a shame? That the game is delayed, that it's not possible to join WMD any more or that someone has previewed the game as being rubbish?
In any case, the game is still coming soon and I'm still confident I'll enjoy it.

Unless you mean it's a shame the Zero Cup has another 2 weeks? :sly:

I would like to nominate the Callaway c12 :-)
big long heavy tinfoil brakes insta-overtake if a short shift is mistimed out of the corners.

and of curse a thundering sound

Any ideas about 2 more cars to race? @Cu3e had suggested the Pozzi in the club forum.

It has been a while since I tried the Pozzi but I remember it can be painted and takes number plates. Also handles very well on CS for an Murican Beast. But SH might be safe...?

Another car I would love to race is the Nissan Silvia K's Dia Selection (S13) '90. But it might be bit slow Stock... I have it tuned for some drifting action :)

I am going to be out of town again next monday but the following few weeks I should be joining.

Don't know if I can make it; the windows in the racing room are being replaced tomorrow and I'm not sure if the window folks will be done by green flag time. :irked:

We usually have room for more so it should be fine to join from tonight. I'll send a club invite as soon as I can. 👍

PS: the friend request is actually not necessary since we have the clubs. I always forget to change that bit...

Edit: invite sent, @WildChild89 .
