An event to remember, the little Zonda was a handful and thanks to the massive turnout there were battles galore! To be honest i was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of racers, sorry for the sluggish hosting and an extra sorry to @Sparkz_360 for forgetting to include him in the first race. :ouch::indiff: The room cap of 12 racers was chosen to smooth out online issues (which don't pop up that much with a smaller racer cap) but this time it looked like we wouldn't fit all that were interested. If it happens next time i will open a new room with higher cap so all can fit in -- i planned to do that after the first race but some racers got victim of the network gods.
Anyways, thanks all for coming, hope you had as much fun racing the Pagani as i did! Great to see you back @WildChild89, congratulations for the overall win! Hope you liked it @eus2410 , good battles with you in the first race! Welcome @Autope10, it's normal to have visibility problems now and then, no need to leave. Just reenter the room and most of the time they are gone. And if it's just one permanent invisible person for you, see if you can find out and report it in the chat, then the other one knows it and can be extra careful. 👍

I have a series that ends just before Zero Cup so I miss the 1st races. However the Race ended later than I expected so I could not join you yesterday. Sorry.

Will be there next week hopefully. ;)

I was reading the rules and I don´t understand weel the yellow flag rules, but no prob.
I´d like driving to you.
It was good to see you, shame you dropped out.

The Gentleman's Yellow Flag rule: if you are leading the race (generally by a good margin) and you can see that on the map the rest of the field has spread out around the track you can then call a GYF. Just weave around on the track and slow down, then in the message box type GYF.
The other drivers should then stop racing and slow down, eventually bunching up behind you as you drive slowly. At the next crossing of the start finish line, or at the next sector on longer tracks, the race then continues.

The whole process allows the field to regather together hopefully then to continue with some closer racing than before. It's entirely optional on when and whether the race leader uses it. If for instance although the field was spread out but you were in a close battle with the driver in P2 you probably would not want to stop.

I'm never in the lead for long enough to have actually needed to use the option. :)

Think I've explained it well enough @tarnheld ?

Good crowd yesterday. 👍
Enjoyed race two! I managed to split up the aliens. ;)

I don't think anybody else could have done it any better.
You are always doing a good job hosting, and it's one of the reasons I enjoy Zero Cup.

Thanks for going to my second home, tarn. The Nurburgring. ; )
I found and used a couple of new camera angles (especially towards the second half)
and audio settings in replay mode.
Even though the Zonda is a standard car I think it looks okay.
I apologise if you prefer racing videos without added music, I don't
always use music since I too like to hear just the engines sometimes, but this
video is jam packed with synth/retro wave.

@Heavyduke
I believe you texted ahead of Special Stage Route 5
that you saw all 11 drivers in the lobby. If that was the case I am
pleading to you to start being more mindful of your surroundings.
You were constantly weaving left and right, taking no notice of drivers
next to you. You practically hit every single car out there before you left
the lobby.
I felt the need to pit and abandon my race as I didn't see how I could race
with you. It was too unpredictable and dangerous. The Zonda C12 was indeed a fast
and difficult car but others raised issues too in the same way I am now with your
driving in the slower VW Lupo as well.

I'm just making you aware that you really should use the rear and side view mirrors
more and try not to make contact with others. Nobody is perfect and if anyone sees
something in my own driving that I can improve I would want to know.
I know, for example, that I sometimes can buckle under the pressure when racing in front of a driver
and make silly mistakes going off the track. But I always try and race clean.
Zero Cup rules of conduct is a good read, we could all be reminded of it from time to time: http://warriuszerocup.blogspot.se/p/rule-book.html#RulesOfConduct

No problem, you are the host! :D:tup:

Awesome battles in that race, thanks for the video! The soundtrack suits the car perfectly -- living on the edge. :dopey:
I had a terrific offroading/spinning experience midst race, i think @IfAndOr had a great view on that one. :nervous: Will post some pics later. :)

Look ma, no hands...
Nürburgring GP_D__1.jpg

C'mon, i can recover that...
Nürburgring GP_D__2.jpg

Where there is smoke, there is fire...
Nürburgring GP_D__4.jpg

Now it's FUBAR...
Nürburgring GP_D__5.jpg

Ok, one spin for the road...
Nürburgring GP_D__6.jpg

Hmmm, maybe another one...
Nürburgring GP_D__7.jpg

Wow, look at that nice headlamp-smoke interaction...
Nürburgring GP_D__8.jpg

Too much momentum...

Best things come in three...

And now safely reenter the track:

Sorry guys i'm going to call it a night, the servers are doing me no favours by disconnecting me every 5 seconds....
I'll do these races again in the coming weeks, hopefully the servers behave.....
Cheers to all who attended, have a good week!

Despite the network problems the Ford was good fun. You certainly had to Focus around London (see what I did there ;))

Cheers Sparkz for your endeavours. 👍

Again sorry to @eus2410 for the big impact in the first race. I came around the final corner and could see some cars out of control so I headed for the smoke - behind which, it turned out, was your car! It was bright yellow so you think I might have seen it. :)

If anyone is interested and free - Pontiac Solstice, at Patrick's 'Portimao' circuit tomorrow over with the RR crew (which is a lot of us already)

So the second Wagon Championship will be starting Friday the 23rd, and will be running at its usual time (22:30 BST), this time one of the races every night will involve stock cars (and the other will be with 1000bhp super wagons, but that's besides the point). Everyone is welcome, if any of the Zero Cuppers are interested and can make that time.
