Wow, it looks even more awesome than number four. And i'm still impressed when I occasionally play number four. I just hope it's a little longer than the fourth one.

Indeed, this games looks awesome.

Those shots look like some real life work rather than screen shots.

I played a ton of ac4, known about 5 being on the horizon for about a year now. I can't wait for it.

I just hope that these aren't shots from an xbox or something. :lol:

I love AC04, but this game, hopefully with online, will be the greatest arcade flight sim ever. HL2, GT4, now AC05 supposed to be coming out! 2004 is going to be a great year for gamers!

Looking at the gamefaq AC05 boards, it looks like 05 will be twice as large as 04, and over 50 official names have been licensed. And online play is confirmed (HDD not required as of now)

Notice the world map on the Game Watch site. North Point and Farbanti are on the map. AC04 pilots should know these very well. A direct sequel maybe?

The environments look even better than 04 (trees!) and the water has some serious bump mapping going on. I can't believe the aircraft models are more detailed than 04. I wish Ridge Racer would get the same treatment as Ace Combat is from Namco.

The F-14 retains the title for the most 'bad ass looking' fighter ever.

There are harriers in AC04, but they are AI-only aircraft. But I would also like to see a flyable version in 05, it would be great fun doing a ground support mission in one.

Goes to show you how good the PS2 is, eventhough it is an aged piece of hardware compared to X-Box. GT4 and AC05 will set the new graphical standards for their respective genres in the console market.

I agree. GT4 and AC5 can be labled 3rd generation game titles. They both started as 2nd generation game titles. It's sad to see games in the 1st generation style, like the new Syphon Filter game, still being made.
