Not the same as the tests; you don't fail, but you get the speed limit penalties.

Shame, the amount of times that i failed the 'Fuji in a Macca' on the final corner of the last lap by drafting just a little bit too closely!!!!!

Saw a vid of Mission 13 from dragonmaster. He was 3 seconds back on the last lap at Opera Paris and made it within the few last corners to win. 👍 👍

link please?

I'm trying the later missions but the driving aids are really slowing me down! Is there any way to turn them off for the missions or even the license tests?

The slipstream ones were giving me trouble at first. I kept on trying to get a helpful little bump from the cars behind me. Cheating, but I thought it would help. But if you just keep going, no contact, slipstreaming them, then letting them slipstream you, you should be able to pass those 4 tests no problem.

Hmmm, maybe it's integrity test. Allow the cars to slipstream you, and it will allow you to win. Or, at least, allow you to get a final, helpful slipstream that really helps you get ahead. Meh, just a thought.

Off-topic:
Brenton8907 how did you get 100% in GT2? Highest I got is 98.2%.. Just asking.

Also it could be the event generator races you havn't completed. When you legally accuire your S licence 4 new races show up at the end of the GT league there is a over arrow in the upper right corner the mouse pointer doen't goto automaticly. I have never heard of the Opel thing, but I never got 100% either, my sim disc got damaged beyond repair at 70% ish and other things took up my intrest.

Anyway sorry for the big off topic.

I completed the SLR/Nürburgring mission some days ago. It is my view that only a small percentage of players will have the skills necessary to unlock the R89C.

Notes:
If you want to make it:
-You will need to pass the SL65 on or immediately following the carrousel.
attachment.php

-Don’t worry too greatly about the SL500
-You will need to pass the 190 E at the beginning of the main straight (about 13 seconds behind 300SL).

This will allow you to get past the SLK before the final corners.

If all goes well, you will be bumper to bumper with the 300SL at the final turn. Victory is in sight.

The R89C is yours!

The End.

what a lovely storyboard. Does the driver of the R89C live happily ever after!!!

Yes McMan, after getting the mission out of the way, you could say that this R89C driver is living happily ever after…

With a car like that, what do you think? Of course, man! That is, unless someone makes an upset as big as what Villanova did to Kansas in college hoops this past Saturday. Happily ever after it is. You just ride off into the sunset.

How much power does that thing have once you tune it, doesn't it start out with like 800hp or something?

It starts off with fewer horses than the R92 CP. Throw in an oil change and it makes around 970PS. I see no need to purchase the Stage 4 turbo.

yeh thats plenty of power! putting a turbo on that would make it a killer out of slow corners, but more fun down the straight at le sarthe!

I've done the first 16 Mission Hall tests (I suck, I know, Sue me, had a lot of actual "Work" lately :grumpy: ) - And so far, the only one that I didn't beat in the first few tries is one where you drive a Plymouth Superbird in Seattle II...

That THING is a stupid retarded piece of machinery... You have to start braking like 4 weeks in advance before you start aiming at the turn, the gently touch then accelerator - and fire it sideways into the wall..

Man I hate that car.... - But it's still fun - Ain't GT4 amazing...

Mission Hall ROCKS !

I believe that all american old school muscle cars are shockers I mean there heavy, bad traction and bad at braking. I can imagine what a superbird would be like to take around seattle in all its bumpiness and 90 degree turns. But don't worry I think that the tests get better as you start to use real cars...

One word - Scary :D

I'm not worried - I'm enjoying GT4 far too much to be worried ;)

The last one I did last night was Cote d'Azure in a Lancia Stratos... That thing is sheer beauty... And since I was on my way to bed and not racing anymore, I watched the replay for once.. No wonder mint ones go for € 99.000 +... Amazing - simply...

yeh mate sounds good. I love a car that handles well. Whats your favourite car you've driven so far?
That's a pretty good question - I can tell you that it's not the Superbird, that's fer sure.. But the motor in the Superbird deserves a fine handling chassis like that of the Volvo 240GLT, which was THE first car I drove in GT4 - First thing I did after I booted the Disc for the very first time was to enter Arcade mode and do the ring in the Volvo 240GLT :D

Putting my finger on a specific car as a favorite... Hmm... I'll have to get back to you on that one since each and every car is a different, and equally fun, challenge...

I suppose they all have there ups and downs. A volvo going flat out round the 'ring?haha! did you get it around in under 10 minutes!!!

I can't wait to go around the ring aswell, and will probably start the game just like you did. I thought you had to unlock tracks in GT mode before you could race them in Arcade mode?

I think a 10.52, on my very first lap, in a 240GLT is respectable... Volvo 0wnz

Mclaren_Man
That aint bad for ya first lap, have you learned the full layout of the 'ring yet?

Bloody Volvo Drivers......

Yearh.. I like the 240GLT so much, I'm thinking about changing my username to "Soccer Mom"

yeh that would be classic.

You haven't driven on the unchicaned Le Sarthe circuit by any chance? that would be another track I would like to go around on. 5km straight :ill:

I did indeed do the Mulsanne straight. In one of the tests you have to do the straight and a little of the twisty part afterwards. In an R390 IIRC... With the DFP, everything is shaking and just keeping the car straight at 380km/h.... Scary !.....

Slipstream Missions are the probably the best out of the lots for me. So nice to hear the effect and the thinking need in doing the Skyline one was excellent.

But im stuck in 11-20.... its those one where you have to catch up with various cars but i always end up second. Does anyone have any tips about what I need to do?
