He means the Formula One Championship, or whatever they call it.

That's where I got mine. I have the North American version and I'm at about 45%, however beating the S license F1 15 race GP unlocked it for me. I didn't read all the replies to this, so apologies if I'm just reiterating old info.

You're the only one acting like a child.
I ca nsee where he's gettign at. blkout is just spewing out what so many others did about the pikes peak car HOWEVER he could have said it better than trying to newb bash. Im only 1.1% complete (but i got the game yesterday evening) and am no where near the c9. i preffer closer races where its very possible to lose if i screw one corner. But i will use overpowered cars in endurances purely because i hate 24 hours goign round in circles and wish to win by far and just **** other cars up and push them into sand and walls. I can see where blkout and everyone else is coming from however i side with everyoen else because yes the c9 probably is an overpowered pikes peak style race hammering car and no fun but... it could be a nice car for photo mode which is thouroly enjoyable so... im undecided about how good it is. i would have to drive ti first :sly:

How'd this thread going from talking about the C9 to an arguement about the definition of a ratio? How about lets talk about the engineering marvel that the car was, or its racing history or something.

The Sauber C9 is probably the fastest non-Formula Gran Turismo car in the game, even better than the Audi R 8 and Bentley Speed 8. First I also wondered why this car is the prize for winning the Formula GT championship, but now I understand...

Anyway, I think I have decided what I am going to do. I'm not much of a planner, but I think I am going to do something like:

a) Get GT4.
b) Get all the gold licenses.
c) Buy a Mazda miata or something and start winning races.
d) Complete the beginner hall.
e) Complete the professional hall.
f) Win the Nurb 24 hours (in B-spec mode) to get an F1 car.
g) Win the F1 championship in the F1 car, winning every race by as big a margin as I can manage (I know you can win this in a non-F1 car, but it's an F1 championship so I want to drive an F1 car).
h) Drive the Sauber C9 off into the sunset.

Edit: When it says 'complete' the professional hall, etc, does that mean you have to win every race and every championship in that hall? Or just every championship?

You need to have at least 25% complete to enter Endurance Hall.

You get the sauber C9 from winning the Grand Valley 300km endurance. That's how i got mine. Im PAL by the way.
NA Version you get the "AutoUnion Steamline" or something to that affect for winning Grand Valley 300km. The Sauber C9 for Formula 1 Championship.

Not pissy about anything, asked a simple question and got a few ignorant answers. Shortly after, the question was answered and still had to listen to a few more ignorant comments. Like I said, on a message board full of children, this is what is to be expected.

Look, It's the second coming of wellyrn! :dopey:

Questions:

So you have the (PAL) Australian version of the game, and were awarded the Sauber C9 for winning the Grand Valley Enduro?

When you said 'I'm PAL' did you mean 'I have a PAL PS2' or 'I have a PAL version of the game' or both those things?

Have you reached the S-16 final license test yet? If so, what is the car in that test in your version of the game?

I asked a simple question and he gave me an answer that had nothing to do with my question. I didn't ask for the history of the C9, I asked why everyone is so obsessed with trying to get it.

Why would you care why other people want to find a car in the game?

Geee, lets think, maybe because they like Mercedes?

And don't blow up al people for discussing a topic, this isn't your forum.

So ...

Any ideas how I can get a Toyota 88CV or equivalent? I am on the World GT level (last in Professional) and tried the CLK GTR98 and various others but was constantly getting lapped.

Aplolgies if this is a repeat question :nervous:

I wasn't going to do the grand valley 300km yet, but i'm going to do that tonight thanks :) .

F310B the S16 lisence test in the PAL version is the Merc 190 evo II touring car i think, definatly not the sauber like the ntsc-J.

Blkout, yeah its my first time back on the board in a while too and i've just read 3 pages of your whining 👎 :grumpy:

Well if you have PAL I think the Sauber should be won from the F1 championship. Not sure what that guy meant when he said he won the Sauber in GV in PAL, he must be wrong.

hey guys, so when you're doing the formula gran turismo race do you have to enter the whole series to win the prize car or can you do each car separately and still win it?

Also any tips for cars/strategy to win these races, as I can only win the first two and that was because I did less pit-stops in my F1 car! Surely theres a better way!

any help greatly appreciated - Will.

I find this series pretty easy, I'm up to race 12 now and I've won all of them no b-spec strictly a-spec and Im finding that its all about good hard racing, keeping to your line and good pit stratergy. There's going to be times when you pit well ahead of the other cars and you might go 1/2 lap down but just keep to your racing line and eventually they'll pit and you'll once again be in the lead. Just continue to build your lead that way.

Most importantly be patient, there long races. I've been working on this series now for 3 days playing a few hours at night..good luck.
