Changed car and made a few improvements last night.

Still need to sort out some proper settings though.

T1 23.457
T2 45.889

Got quite a few cars to try out yet.

In order to even out the playing field. I'll be fair and provide my settings for the TVR Cerbera.

Suspension:
10.5/12.5
90/96
4/4
6/6
2.0/1.0
-1/0
6/5

Trans:
Final: 5.500
Auto 16

Brakes: 6/4

Aids: 0/1/0

LSD: 5/15/10

Full Wing (30/30)

I'm using a Nissan 300ZX 2seater.
T1-23,745
T2-47,487

And I know I can go faster too, I just have to try to NOT to hit a wall and go out of control:crazy: But I haven't goten mad at the controller yet:). I'll keep trying.

Here is my setup for the 300ZX '98. Also I use the original suspension.

Suspension
10.0/9.0
70/70
8/8
3.0/0.5
0/0
6/6

Brakes
5/4

LSD
10
30
20

And I have takin off about 1sec off my total time.

Back in the 300ZX and some new splits:

T1: 0`21.774
T2: 0`43.065

This and the Supra are pretty identical the more I race them. I don't know what I'm doing with setup and on the current plan I can get another 0.5 but I'm pretty satisfied with my time anyway 👍

Board Not Updated (It won't load for some reason???)

What happens if I don't have a Max Drive and I need to submit a replay?

As long as they don't request you a replay, then it's OK but if you score high and you can't provide a replay, you'll be disqualified :)

A) Get one.

B) meet up with, or post your memory card to, someone that has one.

That sucks, I don't know anyone with one, how long after the deadline do the replays have to be in? I'll try Ebay in a minuite.

Don't know why I'm going on about this, I doubt I'll every need to submit one anyway.

Cheers for the settings guys 👍
Ive still got no idea how 22.1 is possible...(drifting first corner perhaps?) but the car is definatly faster now.

22.8 (seen 22.5)
42.3 (lost .2)
.600 off my old time

T1 - 0'23.333
T2 - 0'44.984

Currently, I reached a 15-second improvement in total time compared to the first times. Cyril, why don't you pick a track I know better? 66-68 were all tracks I either didn't know, or knew from the other side. Same as the 'ring from 64...

Need to work out the settings, though. Way too unstable through turns, my car, and actually drifts on R5s pretty good - but WRS is not about drifting :(

I'm not liking this week at all. Got a time I might submit. But I don't like not having the same spec car as everyone else. WRS should be about skill in my opinion. But hopefully 69 will be better!

Mater : I don't pick a track you know better so that you can discover new tracks
Ben : WRS is all about skill. Most of the time driving skill, but sometimes tuning skill

:D

And... week 69 will be different.

Thank god you said that Cyril hopefully 69 is a good one. I actually meant driving skill as opposed to tuning skill.

Ok, here's a free hint : week 69 will be an arcade race in a mildly powerful car.

Sounds promising. I don't think we use enough moderately powered cars. I find the uber-fast 'eyes out on stalks' races to be extremely stressfull; they give me a headache from concentrating

Suzuka?!?!?!

I think a "mildly powerful car" is perfect for that track. Then again, I'm a bit biased and my lobbying efforts aren't going to be that effective. But I did my first actuall race in a while that wasn't WRS related. The Formula GT in the Formula GT World championship, at yep, Suzuka.

Oh and congrads Madforce on the licence!

:dunce:  :banghead:

Just had my best finish so far. Half a second faster at the finish then went and followed it with a faster, dirty, lap which has now overwritten the previous clean ghost......d'oh.

Oh well, at least I know I can go faster.

Back soon with new splits.

Edit: New splits,

T1 22.9
T2 45.4

Catcing you up Cyril. :D

Changed to the 300ZX ('89 flavour) that people seem to be favouring and immediately beat my old time (on the 3000GT) by over 3 seconds. It's a helluva lot more responsive. Might try some others now, but I can't see anything being faster over a lap than the 300ZX. I suppose though that being quickest isn't really the point this week, so I'll just submit what I think was my best effort - ie.not necessarily the fastest...

300ZX splits:
21.782
42.432

Board Updated

I get the impression there are a few people writing their T1 splits up incorrectly (George, Randy), you may wanna re-check those laps 👍

Sorry Colby. :embarrassed:

New Splits, again.

T1 22.401
T2 44.230

That's a few of the Div 3'ers out of the way. :D

Woo! Not that I dislike or can't drive in GT mode. Sounds good anyway. :)
I smell a something funny... :sly:

celeron_266
umm...dont really like suzuka....seattle sounds better
Much... :sly:

Well, Daan and others, I decided after a quick stint in one of my FWD possibilities that I didn't want to deal with that much power through the front wheels on this track...

I like how everyone is scared of the supra and skyline so they're all hopping into the same cars(89ZX, TVR)... Except for the others, of course... I might just have a go in the newer Skylines, Supras, and 300ZXs... But for now, after trying out a couple cars from the early 80s(Z31 and Celica), and the fastest possible NSX(1999 Type S Zero), (and the Alfa 156), I'm quite suprised how fast the Z31 is in comparison to the NSX... Somewhat of a shame that early 80s Nissan technology can keep up with and surpass(depending on driver and tuning I'm sure) late 90s Honda technology:sly:. Still trying to sort out grip here and there, but quite amazed all the same.

Current splits in it:
22.549
44.145

Can probably reach another half a second between tuning and driving without too much more time spent on that one.

Just hopped into the heavier, more powerful, and extremly torquey Lotus Carlton, and can see myself possibly keeping speed with the Z31, if not possibly surpassing it? But I think I might not want to drive that thing. I dunno.

FWD possibilities that I'm aware of:
Any of the FTOs, a couple of Alfas(156 and 166, maybe another?), the Acura CL Type-S, Pug 406(maybe another?).

American possiblity? I'll assume that's the Acura...

Haven't tried driving the MK3 supras yet as they're soo heavy. If they can get power up to the MK4 levels, or almost, then maybe, but still...

I have tried alot of cars, one thing is for sure I don't think the Skyline will
work on this track because it has too much understeer to go fast.
