Saw a Chrysler 300C 'estate' (wagon?) today, first one i've seen, and only seen a few regular 300C's

Are you in the UK?

TheCracker
It's possible i suppose. It was probably 20 years ago now, i don't know how recently a boat engine was put in a LM002?

It was a Lamborghini-authorized modification - it would've been right after production.

I took this home for lunch today. 2008 F350 Super Duty King Ranch. Dude this thing is HUGE!

well ladies and gents, today i saw the best exotic of the week, by far.

I wont give much away, but

IT WAS A KOENIGSEGG CCX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in black!

gorgeous car up close, many pics to be posted!

CCX
well ladies and gents, today i saw the best exotic of the week, by far.

I can't wait for pics - a CCX is one of the best automotive spots possible.

Dude this thing is HUGE!

They're incredible. When I was on my summer roadtrip through Colorado I happened across one fully covered in that black automotive masking stuff. At the time it didn't seem any different than the current Super Duty F-series trucks, so I didn't photograph it. Anyway - I'll never forget how big the mirrors were. I see the trucks a lot but I rarely notice them, but because this one was covered in that stuff (and running Michigan manufacturer plates) I went over and looked at it. The mirror had to be twice the size of a license plate. I ran away crying

NOTES

1. If you look at the vanquish's plate, you can see the owner is possibly an arrogant git.
2. Can someone help me identifying that Bugatti?
3. Every picture was taken by me, except the one with me in it.
4. I went up a back alley in search of exotics, I came back out to find my dad showing me a pic of the CCX driving in on his phone, I was almost suicidal! Luckily I found it right at the end of the marina!
I am rather proud of pictures 5 and 6 of the CCX, I had to balance on a skip heaped with jagged bricks to take 5, without slipping and sending the jagged bricks onto the front of the CCX.5. I am going to put some videos on youtube of the CCX and 430.
6. If you think the post/photos are good please give me some +rep
👍

EDIT: and my dad just called y'all wasters for not replying in 2 hours and a bit

Bah. And I thought I'd done really well today, too. :grumpy:

Seriously, damn good stuff CCX! 👍 Congrats on the first Koenigsegg spot of the thread.

My first very definate 599:

2 minutes later, he came back, but I screwed the picture up... In my defense, I've had the camera for 3 days and I'm still getting used to it...

Caterham in my local Shell garage:

These 2 I've been meaning to take a picture of for ages. Both are on the same road, 100 yards from each other, and 60 seconds from my house. The NSX is outside the same house the silver 575 I posted a few months back was. Took the NSX shot on a different camera, a week ago.

Thanks for the shots CCX. +Rep obviously. You've caught two cars I'm still begging to see after 20 months of car spotting - the Vanquish, and the Gallardo Spyder.

By the way, can we get larger photos? Whenever I click on them, I'm redirected to Imageshack's main page, and I'd really like to figure out where the hell that CCX is registered. Ironically most cars are running Spanish plates - not usually the case in Puerto Banus. The exceptions are the Vanquish and an F430 Spider which looks to be on French tags. I don't believe the CCX is Spanish-registered either.

I can't be any help on the old car except to say that I don't really think it's a Bugatti. I don't know, though.

My sightings hardly compare to CCX's, but still, here they are. Two themes today:

1. NEW CARS
avenger-021707.jpg

Dodge Avenger - wasn't planning on seeing this for another couple of weeks, actually, but here it is. Better than the Sebring, in my view, but still crappy.

patriot-021707.jpg

Jeep Patriot - this one is in the worst color and the lowest spec so the image is a bit unfair. Still, I hate this car, as I do the Compass. Chrysler continues to waste money answering questions no one's asking. Front picture here. Again, didn't know this was out; plates say it was purchased on Tuesday.

outlook-021707-2.jpg

Saturn Outlook - saw my first Outlook on January 26 and didn't see another until last night. Saw two today. I must admit, I like this vehicle's styling. Tennessee dealer plates on this one. Rear shot here.

mkx-021707.jpg

Lincoln MKX - someone bought one. A Lincoln employee no doubt.

m6_convertible-021707.jpg

BMW M6 Convertible - someone bought one of these too, evidently. Atlanta (supposedly) got the first batch of these in the states, so this one's VIN probably ended in the two digit range. Then again, maybe the VINs are consecutive with the coupes'. Who knows. Temporary plates suggested a purchase date of about three weeks ago.

g35s-021707.jpg

Infiniti G35S - what the hell is this?

2. OLD CARS
silver_cloud-021707.jpg

Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud

phantom2-021707.jpg

I believe this is a 1929 Rolls-Royce Phantom II, based on the fact that the license plate read "29RRP2" and the flying lady was on the front of the vehicle. Doesn't look much like the Wikipedia image of the vehicle, but who am I to quibble?

old_car-021707.jpg

Something. Anyone?

Other themes could be considered to be 'rare versions of recent cars' and, best yet, 'the first Saturday in 21 weeks in which I saw neither a Ferrari or a Lamborghini.' A windy 48 degrees and forecasted snow will do that. Here are the rest of the shots:

Aston-Martin DB9 (1 2)

Audi S6 Avant
Audi S6 V10

Cadillac XLR-V

Dodge Viper SRT-10
Dodge Viper SRT-10 (Illinois plates)

Ford F-150 SVT Lightning
Ford F-150 SVT Lightning

Maybach 57S (Florida plates)

Mercedes 500E
Mercedes 600SL (words can hardly describe the rarity of this car, the second one I've ever seen)

Rolls-Royce Phantom

Volkswagen Phaeton W12

viper_srt10-021707.jpg

Today was a pretty good day of spotting, nothing too extreme but meh. Audi S6, current shape. 2 Brand new VE HSVs, 1 Clubsport R8 and 1 GTS. A 1964.5 Ford Mustang and a (I think) 1965 Corvette Stingray in convoy 👍
Unfortunately I was driving during all of these spots so no pics. However, I did get these three mildly interesting cars.

porscheboxstersoo3.jpg

vwgolfr32tx1.jpg

Yesterday I saw 1969 Camaro, fully set up for drag but still road rego-d. Tubs in the back with Mickey Thompson radials and skinnys on the front. Two NOS bottles where the rear seats would have been and up the front, a supercharged big block . More than anything else I wish I'd had a camera at the time. Also, a Mercedes 190E 2.3 16V. Interesting and unusual enough to warrant a mention I reckon.

nice viper M5 ;)

I wont outdo you again....

until i go back in september :D we loved it that much, anyways, Ive got 3 vids for y'all that I just put on youtube

This one is my photos

This is an F430 entering the marina

and this is a walkaround of the Koenigsegg:

the ford ccx ether has norwegian trade plates or swedish export plates on it(both look very similer),so ether its just been imported and the owners hasnt registered it or its just over for a visit for possible customers

what is your evidence behind this claim? :D

and M5, can you tell me exactly whch photos you want bigger?

That may actually be a questionable mod.

It is not actually a questionable mod, I just looked it up on Infiniti's website and it is a G35 Sport. It a different model with the G35 sedan family. Do not ask me the differences though between it and a normal G35 sedan because I did not look that closely at the website.

Every picture of the CCX! You can PM them to me if you're afraid of theft - it's just uncommon that we get a sighting that good and I want to enjoy them at a larger size!

i think i outdid everyone

I could see fifty V8 Ferraris and twenty Gallardos - a CCX would still outdo them. There's six or seven cars which are simply unbeatable, and that's unquestionably one of them.

Yeah, it looks legitimate after some Googling. I was just surprised as I had heard nothing about such a model, and considering the fanfare with which the G35x was launched (at least in Colorado) I figured this would've been similarly celebrated. Guess not.

It is a recent release of Infiniti, corresponding with the updated G sedan. I think it is a poor choice of emblem on Infiniti's part though. It just does not look right on the car.

I would also like to see some higher resolution pictures of the CCX, if you would not mind.

Lucked out a bit today - a friend came in from out of state on unrelated business so we had lunch in the high-end area of town, and I got my Ferrari:

360_modena-021808.jpg

Also caught this Viper SRT-10, though it's the same one as one of yesterday's. That means this weekend is the 21st straight weekend in which I've seen either a Ferrari or Lamborghini and either a Maybach or a Phantom. :D

ok ill put up some pictures of the ccx but with a small personal watermark at the bottom, is that ok?
