25% of the field is already full

Notice I have qualifying week on GTPLMS' Raceweek and FGT raceweek during GTPLMS' qualifying week. (seeing that alot of drivers here also race in GTPLMS)

That way when you're done running 1 Q lap for GTPLMS you can switch over to your 20 minute FGT race 👍

Count me in!

xjr-9

ETA: Motegi is in Japan, so the Chinese Grand Prix could be renamed as the Pacific Grand Prix. Just pointing it out.

Welcome in xjr-9. What is surprising to me is how diverse the series is already. 6 entries from 4 different countries.

Small changes have been made,

- upon xjr-9's request the Chinese Grand Prix has been renamed the Pacific Grand Prix.

- Delfino has brought to my attention that there is a black Formula GT car, but I forgot about it because I have only completed 94.5% and it does not show up in arcade mode for me. So therefore the number of available teams possible has been increased to 11 and drivers to 22 due to the extra car livery.

- Delfino has chosen the black livery, so therefore the silver/black livery is available again

I may or may not be able to race in the test race, however my schedule clears up in two weeks so I’ll be on the grid for the USGP.

20m FGT race shouldn't be a problem at all for anyone.

What i hate to break is that Le Mans will be a 2-week endurance event, so the schedule will be changing from the current setup for the sprints.

I'd kinda like to run in this series too...always had a love-hate relationship with the Formula (no tire choice? come on). I'm sure we can work something out Earth...if you want, I can send you the tentative schedule of events.

will get back to you with an entry and possibly a teammate.

OK good idea send me a current schedule, hopefully it won't be too big of a deal to work around Le Mans, I may just end up adding 1 week to a race on the Formula GT schedule

FYI

The Formula GT logo has changed (see first post) If anyone knows how to superimpose the logo over the world map picture for the sake of size I would be greatfull 👍

I would like to participate in this race series. Anyone want to partner up with me?

I'd race under the Argentine flag by the way. Any livery except the purple and the green one.

xbneo, you're welcome to be my team-mate.

Excellent work Blake 👍

Notice that the schedule now does not have set dates except for June 17, the start of the test race. That WILL stay in place.

But I can't put any other dates in concrete yet because of 2 reasons, I don't want to interfere with the GTPLMS season, and I'm going on vaction towards the end of the month for about 5 days.

The basics will remaing the same, 2 weeks per round, 1 week for qualifying and 1 week for the race, but the exact dates will be announced in each thread (due to the reasons stated above)

The Fuji 90s test thread will include the date for the next session and the next session thread will include a date for the next etc etc. 👍

So if 17 June is the start of the test race, should we start trying out our cars in qualifying trim now?

You certainly can, everyone will start on the default weight and power, and there is only medium tires, so practice in qualifying trim is possible.

I've practiced at several of the tracks in time trial, Laguna Seca, Monaco and Nurburgring

I must say if you never driven the Nurburgring in a Grand Prix car with the Driving Force Pro you're in for a big shock, literally

The beating you take at the track is unbelieveable. I have to rest my hands on the long straight every lap by holding the bottom of the wheel

Some turns are very, very tricky, it's possible to take some at full speed but if you go a certain speed in certain turns certain bumps will lift the entire frontend of the car off the ground (I've seen it in replays) and send you crashing into the wall.

If you can run a lap around the Nurburgring in a Grand Prix car without going off you're a real pro

As for Laguna Seca, the corkscrew is very challenging, and the track overall is very technical and a great challenge

Monaco is a blast in a Grand Prix car, the course flows so smoothly and remarkably I think it is the easiest of the 3 tracks I've tested on despite the fact it's a temporary, tight, street course

Yeah, I can't wait for the Ring and Monaco. Nurburgring is just a pleasure for me, you learn something new every lap. And Monaco is very demanding too, any little mistake will cost you several seconds!

quick question to Earth,

when you're taking about time splits, it is for every lap or for every sector of every lap....?????:ill:

I hope its not too late. I just aquired a F1 car and I'm ready to race it. Here's my entry if the color is not taken.
