thanks so much for the great comments guys. :)👍, specially to Tommi2000
for the +rep! it's very nice of you.
Franz:   i totally agree with you. i was gonna put that on the license plate when i was modifying it, but since i was entering it for the comp, i just left it like that :)👍

This new update, believe it or not, took me four and a half hours to finish. i'm tired and hungry now. i was just planning to check on my gallery here on gtp, then for some reason i decided to turn on CS2, and i decided to experiment with this photo, and next thing you know it's been 4.5 hours already. i started at 6pm PST, and i finished at 10:30ishpm PST. i did enter or should i say, post this one for the artistic ps comp trial. let me know what you guys think.

i'm not really happy about how the carbon fibre effect turned out. i should of overcame my being lazy and did it with gimp instead. but i couldn't be bothered. same goes with the fonts on the side of the car. oh well.

Nice work on the 330i, but I see you missed out on cleaning up some of the colour located on the side of the car at the back.

Awesome BMW back there, buddy!
Great angle, and the reflections look really strong, very nice! 👍

The Accord, I think only the side sticker is not well applied on the line's breaks (maybe a smoother transition between the sticker and the white...), but as far as realism and authenticity, it's there! Carbon fiber is very well applied, it only lacks texture, seems the dots are too big, there should be more and closely together.

The Mini, like I explained on the comp thread, looks a bit weird.
At least on this monitor, is very visible the lack of cleaning on the door and the crazy textures that come with it, that what stands out the most.
But I never thought those rims would actually look good on that car! 👍

it's funny that you pointed those out, because i can't really see those faults on my monitor. but i'll look it over when i get a chance. i guess i need a new one since my CRT is getting old. maybe when i get my HD monitor i'm gonna be surprised about how that photo looks like. but for now i see nothing.
about the sticker, i wonder if you saw the carbon fibre texture that i applied to the vinyl, probably not. but yeah, the transition IS a bit rough. the carbon fibre on the rear lip is actually photoshop's fault. i should of done it with gimp instead since gimp gives you more freedom because you're able to adjust how far apart the dots/lines can be. that's what i used for my BB1 Prelude update long time ago, dont know if you remember or seen it. but yeah. about the rims, yes they do look good on them! i got the idea from a real car that i saw, was a customer from the autoparts shop that i used to work at. it's so nice specially on 18's, as long as you get the right offset and tire profile. i might do another update of that car, but it wont be soon, because i might actually stop updating for a while, but don't take my word for it :D anyways here's another shot from Shibuya, Tokyo. this time focusing more on the lights and commercial buildings the city has to offer.

LDS: Thanks 👍 btw, can you explain (if you dont mind) what your username stands for ? only if you dont mind though :)

these photos remind me of the time when my friend was trying to capture the lights on the ground on his DSLR. took him so long to get it. does anyone know how ? i wanna learn how to do that in real life cameras.

LdS stands for Luis de Sousa, it's his name. 👍

J, these shots are very deceiving in a good way.
They seem like pretty standard shots at first, but the more you look the more you get immersed in them, you did a great job.
Buildings look very 3D, and all lights and neons are very natural, I really like the feeling the give.

Is that a DB7?

Great updates lately! All photos you made has got interesting points.

Starting with the 330, the sharp look give a quasi-realistic feeling. There is no doubt about the low resolution of those textures, and I know how difficult are to fix. I only could say the extreme jagged windshield reflection must be adjusted. Except this, the rest is nicely done, quite cleaned as yo used an artistic filter or something to polish the surfaces. Those rims are a good chance as well!

The Accord has the advantage of not looking chopped. This is the most difficult imo, and you integrated all modifications in the original lighting and color.

The Mini is another great job! The green tone of the whole image is liked to the true british racing green of the car. I love all reflections, I guess you've been playing a bit with dodge tools because the bright touches over the roof and mirrors can't exist on stock! The headlight glow sucks a bit, what can we do.

I usually think this kind of cameras may work better with the 16:9 vision. It's a personal whim, I know, the same as the focal blur. But since an objective point of view, they can enhance the photo composition and background failures to make it more credible. Once again, if you could put an extra 5% of your effort in the final work, it must be amazing.

Finally, the Shibuya footage is the most awesome. I love the lights joy and the deep blue sky. You got an espectacular combination of elements in both images with different cameras of usually.

LdS, I hope you didn't get upset because I answered that.
It's just that your shots have your name signed on them, so I did the math... :)

J - you're right, I hadn't noticed the subtle carbon fiber on the red sticker, very nice indeed. 👍

Superb work on the Shibuya shots!!! Great use of cameras Jg, and of course I love those vivid colors and lights:tup:

A very beautiful update!!! Hope to see more soon:)

You can make fairly realistic carbon fibre in Photoshop if you know how!
Check this out, it only took 5 mins;

You simply set the shutter speed to a slower speed. A few seconds should do it. You might also want to decrease the aperture if the scene is quite light anyway.

Anyway onto the updates I really really like your scenery shots, they've come out very very well! I can't wait for the landscape contest to start if it goes ahead and you're going to be producing these kinds of entries!

I love those Shibuya shots!, they are so colourfull and alive:tup:, you can almost feel yourself being there and those advertisements on the buildings look much better when they are the focal point in shots at Shibuya.

A great update from you again from you jg:tup:

thanks so much for the feedback guys. and moglet, i'm actually looking forward to joining that comp, if it hasnt already started. my internet has been down lately, i'm posting from a friend's computer. for some reason my wireless router is screwed up. i mean the signals are there, but a lot of people have been having problems with their internet. i dont know what is wrong with mine. but i hope to get it all figured out soon.
i've been watching gtp from my cellphone for the last two days. it sucks. anyways. yeah. no updates for a while. this really sucks. thanks again for the great comments. hope to get my internet fixed soon, but for now, i guess i'll be gone for a while. ciao guys!

i'm temporarily back for now. my pc still wont go online, but i've been working quite a few hours everyday now that i dont have much time to go and fix it. the virus is gone, but i have to get it tested again since it's saying that my 'default gateway' is offline. whatever that means. hope to have it fixed soon. for the meanwhile, here's something that i've done lately. it's a night shot of NYC, almost the same style as my previous shibuya update, but this time location's in the united states. hope you guys like it.

sorry if i have not commented on other people's galleries, i have very limited time to go online since this pc is my dad's :D hope to be back soon though. miss u guys.

Very snazzy and calm at the same time jgda9rs, also I am sorry to hear about your internet problems. However, I hope you get it fixed very soon.

Great scenery shot jg:tup:, ive never been to the big apple but if I focus enough on it, it feels like I am there:tup:

cheers

thanks so much guys. yeah what happened was, i used the camera that's on the very end of the NY phototravel zone or whatever. it is the same location where i did the Scion vs. Panda update (remember that alex?). that shot is actually a bit like what vancouver would be like on a late night. glad you guys liked it though. i have here my pmc week 119 british bulldog comp entry, didn't really clean it up since it is a pmc entry, but i decided to modify this version and added a bit of diffuse glow to it. let me know how you guys like it.

guess no one cares about that one xd

let's try another scenery shot. i think i might stick to scenery shots for a while. i'm not really inspired on doing any shots with cars lately. dont know why.

wow.

simply immense! the effeect of the sun on the road is great, very realistic and the trees!and the ice! very nice work, im very impressed 👍

i like your BB one aswell, but not as much an interesting carchoise methinks!

These days I was too busy and too tired to open window hehe, but nice to see you back.

Awesome scenery photo again. I really love the whole colors, and specially the brilliant dark tarmac. The contrast of the image is nicely adjusted as wel 👍

The Spirit seems to be deformed because the free transform tool. You always do a deep smoke I don't know how.

Once again a great scenery shot jg:tup:, I can just see that skyline speeding past now - a very realistic shot, keep up the good work:tup:

thanks so much guys. took me a while to get the right contrast for that one without losing the original looks of the sun (color, etc). i think without it the whole picture wouldn't have worked. lots of color balancing and great amounts of faded diffuse glow.

on to the next update. just another experiment with night shots. took me a good 3 hours to get this one looking right. so annoying lol. there was a part where i desaturated
the sky and tried to mix the photofilter and the gradient together, but it just wasn't working with the rest of the photo. so i decided to cover the whole top of the photo and played with the Lighting effects filter...and this is what i came up with.

ROMANCASTLE.jpg

i can't believe Colin Mcrae's gone..i just read an article about him from a magazine. sigh...such a sad and weird day. i read it on the internet and it came on the tv news here at the same time. the news still hadn't sunk in my mind yet that he's actually gone.

Both scenery shots are incredible!!!! In the 1st one the sun is looking real beautiful, and I love the effect on the road...very realistic indeed:tup:
In the 2nd one...the building is very well captured...and once again I like the sky a lot...incredible Jg!!!

 and keep up your good work!!
