This car is really great for technical tracks guys- despite the power. Awesome even on technical tracks.

When I get the TV and PS2 today I have some things to do by the sounds of it. One is have another crack at that Spoon Civic with less power this time. Another is review one of Vince's cars at RCV. If I do this though can you review one of dimplz's cars?

Well if you ever find yourself with some time Vander, you're welcome to drop by and drive some of our cars.

Sure thing man!

You can check your garage for a review of that Cuda, RJ. I had to edit my last post so it may not be obvious that it's there yet.

Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II Nur review:

Sorry, this is going to sound a bit harsh.

The car is poorly thought out at best, with its biggest downfall being the front camber angle. SIX DEGREES?!?! The front tires are only allowed to use about half of their contact patch, and it suffers because of this. Understeer is massive for a Skyline with ATTESSA's center diff functioning. (Which it IS. Otherwise it'd be a real pig)

Also, the shocks and toe angles are worthy of review as well...

Can I just ask one thing? What purpose did you use the car for? I'm pretty sure that one is a drift setup and if it's the same drift setup I drove a long time ago, it's the easiest car to drift and hold the drift I've ever drifted. However, if you did drift it and found those things then that's fine. I just wondered how you get understeer in a drifter...

That's how we learn RJ, through criticism. Remember my CIEN? Everybody hated it, then everyone offered input- that was a steep learning curve for me that was. I think I drove that Skyline as well dimplz- when it was released. I think he might be right- redo the camber and toe, and redo/remove diffs.

Description: A customer walked into our shop one day and said, "Hey, I have a fast car but I want to make it faster, and I heard you guys had some new skills as far as Front Wheel Drive is concerned". We told him that we had indeed just opened up a division for tuning FF cars, and we would be delighted to tune your car. We got to work equipping parts and then took it to the track for testing. After a couple hundered kms of testing and tuning we had reached this, one of the best handling FF cars now on the road and capable of beating cars with more power and supposedly better drivetrains. To improve the weight balance the battery has been relocated to the boot and the fuel tank has been placed further back under the car. The car has a roll cage added to bring out the best in the suspension, without it it is another understeering dog. The customer was eccentric with our creation, so much so that we have made this stage of tune available to the general public. So bring your Golf V GTI to our store and we shall tune it for you, and you will not be disappointed.

finally, here is my review of the newly-release AT Golf Gti:

my test track was Citta 'di Aria, the course perfect for testing a car's overall handling and its ability to carry itself over tight spaces and corners.., in short, for testing a car's balance.., :D

there is a lot, and i mean A LOT, of body roll.., it was very disorienting in cockpit view.., the suspension was already soft at default, yet you even softened it.., isn't the primary reason why you are fitting a suspension kit to your car to stiffen up the springs and improve handling?? you could have at least stiffened up the springs a bit, just to eliminate the body roll.., but i was impressed at how the settings absorb all the bumps and irregularities in the road, nice work though.., it seldom understeers, but the real problem comes when you change directions, the car tends to wobble and slide..,

overall, not a bad setup, it can still be improved..,

3/5

Yeah... generally, the GT4 Racing Suspension is too stiff in default settings. BTW d24/7, just as a note, the default settings of the RC Suspension are not the factory suspension settings, by any means. Going softer, you'll still be significantly stiffer than stock.

Let's just say that my Club Racer is very stiff by the standards of most, but softer than a baby's *** compared to modern FIA GT racecars.

In other words, you wouldn't want to touch the street with it. (Spring rates are currently over 12 kg/mm front and rear)

Thanks for the review =drifting24/7=, Citi di Aria wasn't exactly in mind when I tuned it. Try driving it at GVS or Fuji or some place like that. It will there reveal it self as one of the best handling FF cars around. I doubt it could be improved, I worked long and hard on that one and as it was my test bed for FF cars so I tried almost every option in the tuning. Anyway, do you have a car you'd like to request?

At RJ, 12 kg? :scared: But I seen which car it is so maybe that's fair enough.

no wonder, you buy a RC Suspension for your car and not tune it, but your car's handling still improves.., yeah i did experience that..,

maybe i need to get a better feeling on your car, maybe give it another run..,

It will beat your Spoon I bet :sly: And handling better is how it does it. But you still did a review so if you have a request car then I'm all ears.

no, my EK9 is still faster :sly:.., it has better acceleration and stopping power, but i have to admit the Golf has better handling.., i will tune my Spoon Civic again later tonight, and compare it with the Golf.., i sense an FF battle, how about your Golf and my EK9?? :mischievous:

a request car, hmm.., i'll think about it, nothing's coming out of my mind yet..,

i can't wait to test them.., i love FFs, they are tricky and challenging to tune.., they really show the difference in performance if you tweaked the settings to even the slightest of change..,

I would bet that on the same tyres your Spoon will lose at any power level :sly: And this other FF that's coming out, nothing will stand in its wake, all will be demolished. OK, maybe I'm exaggerating :sly: but it's damn good. Any more reviews coming for the Golf V guys? Any at all?

Edit: This FF I'm talking about sets similar lap times at GVS to an R34 Skyline GTR V-spec Nur. II with S3 tyres equipped. (i.e. when they are both on the same tyres)

Edit 2: Hey Leo, are you going to review my SLK 230, or should I not hold my breath?

you really are challenging me.., :mischievous: LOL

when is the next FF going to be released??
