Red-Zone Autoworks (Demonstration Car now out!)

well, yes.., the Monaro is running good enough (I think) i decreased the brake balance on the rear as so not to punish the tires on an ordinary race..,

i have to say a few things:

1st of all: you can't post your car settings in here, no sir you can't.., because this is MY garage.., anyway, if your FD is tuned right, it won't whip back at you..,

2nd: since when did a RX-7 Bathurst got produced in the year '96 or '97?? it's in the year '00..,

BTW, though has 6 letters in it, not 3..,

my bad. wont happen again.:guilty: and sorry about the year and all that junk. i will not post specs or anything. i just wanted to try to give specs on my car. anyway. my bad.

Eh?? Huh?? What the?? Are you the one whom I replied to?? i thought i replied to skylinefreakk77.., huh??:confused:

Methinks they're the same person, different name.

Thinking the same thing.., hmmm..,

@ mafia-boy - Rriiiiight!! that FD Bathurst was an '01, missed it by a year, silly me.., :dunce::dopey::D

@ nd 4 holden spd - i don't know, i think there's something fishy going around here..,

Agreed. Very very very fishy. :irked:

Where's Kent when you need him?? :odd: I think we need an IP check and if it's a multiple account, a can of 'BAN' going around the place maybe. :D

Better yet.., (shotgun loading) :D

but still, two accounts, one person???:odd:

You guys are funny, "Can of Ban", "Shotgun loading", that's great material.

d24/7, it doesn't look like I'll have the PS2 all weekend (which is why I did my judging now) so that Solstice review will need to wait.

Edit: Today I found a break to use the PS2 and review your car.
Solstice Touge Review
First of all I must say a few things. First, this game is very different to GT5, so for a little bit there I found it hard to play, especially with my busted controller, it became very twitchy. But I got used to it again fairly quickly. Second, you will love the track in GT5 called Eiger Nordwand, it feels more like touge than Cita ever could. It's even on a mountain! You should look it up some time on the interweb.
The car has very good brakes and turn-in. The handling in stock form was a little oversteery but you fixed that and it is now a very fast, agile, and controllable car. Still a small hint of oversteer but nothing to worry about. The gears were only suited to T1 at Cita, I peaked out in 2 other parts of the course. I enjoyed driving the car and it feels great, you really are the Touge Tuners. The wheelspin was barely existent, the car was responsive, well done. 👍

One day my friend, one day. Once you get a job you could pay for it yourself.

When?? I still have to take up my college course, which is 4 years BTW. only then will I get a job. When will I play?? After GT6 has come out??:crazy::crazy: Heck, i only started playing GT4 last Christmas, and now GT5 is already taking the scene.., looks like I'm too little, too late.., :indiff::(

My friend juggles uni and part time work. And uni is full time, in Australia college is maybe a couple times a week, I think it's up to you. Also, if you aren't struggling with homework, you could get an after school job and then quit when you reach college 💡

*edit*
Homework?? that's not a problem.., it's summer vacation here now, for 2 months.., but even if I did apply for a job, my dad won't allow me, and the money that I will earn will not be probably enough. want to know how much a PS3 sells here??

More than an HSV? :scared: Ah well, we'll try and keep you company in GT4 for as long as possible, but once the full GT5 come out next year don't expect much in a way of driving, reviews etc. :indiff:

I'll try to enjoy GT4 as much as I can to my heart's content this summer vacation, because it's all studying when I go to college (which I try not to think of that much BTW).., *sigh*

Well, at least you're having vacation.

sneak peak of my review:

"...The 22B sure is something. The difference your sus..."

To be continued...

oh come on,

oh, and uh, I have a suggestion, although this might screw with your review.., remove the FC LSD (yes, leave it with a stock differential) i'll leave it to you, it's up to you if want the FC LSD there or not.., :)

Haha, I'm having it laying around on my desk now, with all the specs you said. So with the LSD. Just need to find some time to put it here. Have to go now! chemistry homework..

Edit: well here it is then!

Subaru Impreza 22B-STi Review

Since I'm a Mustang lover, you could have guessed I would be interested into something "raw", or stunningly fast or something, but still remaining classy. Therefore not getting over the top, as I sometimes must see, and that's a pity. (The new 'Stang is just not 'it', compared to it's older brother, if you know what I mean.)

Firstly if you review a car, you should get to know it a bit. Just to see how it handles. So turn off al Driving Aids, and drive the hell out of it, so to speak. Just to see what it's capable, I took it to the Japan Championchip event:

(Stock)183 A-Spec points race on Motegi. I liked the track, and I didn't gold the race when I started it a long time ago, so I'll go test the 22B out here! (hell, why not.;)) I pitted against a NSX-R, RX-7 Spirit R, GT-R (R34) and others not worth mentioning. To put it simple, I got OWNED. Never got past 5th place and eventually ended with giving up after four tries. (yeah I suck:P)

Even with this loser feeling, I still got a good look at the stock car's behaviour. It's pretty neutral, slight understeer when you push it hard, but nothing too bad, or unsolvable.

(Semi-Tuned) 130 A-Spec points: Now, to keep things fair and square, I went back to get my revenge! I slapped on your suspension and brakes, plus the Semi-R exhaust. This felt really good, considering it now had the extra push it lacked stock. That combined with the upgraded suspension and brakes made it a winner in the corners and less of a loser on the straights. :) I even managed to be first during lap two and three and it wasn't even the full tune! Too bad the NSX totally outdid me on the straights, and eventually overtook me during one of the last corners. I got second with a 5 second difference.

(Full Tune) 100 A-Spec points: With blood almost boiling, and enough insults leaving my mouth to make even the worst criminal scared, I went on with the full tune. I knew that if I just got to know the car a little bit better I probably would have won the race anyway, but this was already eating enough of my precious time and I'm here for the full tune anyway. Well I am impressed, to be honest. I like it very much, so unlike the car in it's stock form, but still very much an impreza. The extra punch giving the car enough potential to almost plough the opponents of the track, the handling being balanced, but also entertaining enough to keep me trying to get around the corner faster than last time. Oh almost forgot, I won with a astonishing 4 second difference!

Just to finish it off, I took it to Citta d' Aria. IMO one of the best Touge tracks in GT4 and also one I drive on with great pleasure.:)
With the full tune, it didn't took me long to get used to the car/track combination. I liked this 'cocktail' that much, that I suddenly realised I was just entering my 8th lap. Just for fun, I saved the 1'38.4 ghost replay, so I could do some kick ass Touge with it with my own Impreza tune.
This being a CoupeR WRX STi, lighter but also with less HP. I upgraded my tune with a Semi-R exhaust to get as near as possible to your WPR, which was 3.6 kg/HP and mine was 3.8, which I upgraded to 3.55 kg/HP.
With some slight modifications to the LSD and Brakes and S3 tyres to make it "Citta proof", I raced some hell of a Touge! It was fun doing this, and I sure do recommend everyone who has even a slight interest in Touge to try it out himself too.

I hope you liked my review!:D

thanks for the review.., in fact, i have just finished reviewing your Coupe R! i'll be posting my review later, as soon as i finish posting Chapter 8 on Red-Line.., :D

Your review of his better be twice as good, because that is one gnarly review Vince gave. (Gnarly means good, the g is silent)

i know that word.., Aussie surfers say that sometimes when they get wiped out by the waves they're riding, they say "Gnarly dude!!"

man, the internet connection here in my house is like a turtle.., it's slllooooooooww.., can't go out to a cafe, it's already sleeping time.., and i'm a hard time posting this reply :grumpy: looks like the review of Vince's Subbie, my Supra SZ-R which i am about to release and Chapter 8 of Red-Line will have to wait (again :grumpy:) sorry for the major delay guys, apologies.., :indiff:

Wait, it's an SZ-R?? I have been looking for a low mileage one to tune myself. Hell, I might as well just drive yours :dopey: I'm not entirely sure that gnarly is "Australian" slang though. Don't know where it came from, but yeah, surfer boys tend to use that term a lot. I can't surf to save my life though. Plus the rash you get from trying to surf :nervous: You do not want to know where the rash comes up.

The Toyota Supra, another benchmark Japanese car. When Toyota launched the Mark V JZA80 Supra in 1997, it was a worldwide sensation. The Mark V came in two versions, the turbocharged RZ being the more popular because of its brute power and JDM goodness. But here at TTL, we opted for the lesser SZ-R, because in the touge, NA or Natural Aspiration is the way to go. Equipped with race-spec parts like suspension, transmission and LSD, these have been tuned so that anyone can push this car in mountain passes. Of course, engine mods were not forgotten. A new exhaust, re-programmed ECU, improved air/fuel compression ratio, polished intake ports, forged pistons, new rods and a new crankshaft, the works. All these upgrades make this SZ-R as good as its RZ brother, even better.

Sounds good, I have a long list of cars to review. Which is hard with GT5:P sitting around, and a real car that needs a thorough bathing ;) and interior clean. My Ute's been a dirty car :sly:
