It really depends on what your "cup of tea" is. If you're all about graphics, then unfortunately you may be a little disappointed, though I personally think it looks fantastic on my 56" 1080p HDTV :P

Secondly, the gameplay is what really matters, and it's really fresh and fun. That's all I can say!

Does the game actually look like any of the screenshots posted at the start of this thread?

I would agree with the above, going into more detail would however run the risk of breaking the Non Disclosure Agreement, and that would loose me Beta access (so I'm not doing it).

Sorry

Scaff

I believe that is for the Public beta, in which case, Pre-ordering still gets you in Day 1, while sign ups may take days to weeks.

Yeah but for people not in the U.S. is not as easy to get in, in such case for people in Mexico signing on that page is basically the only chance we get.:ill:

gametrailers.com has a lot of new footage of the single player campaign. And it looks really good. go check it out!

The answer is YES and even better... Only thing with front pictures on first page is that they might be AA much bigger then game's AA, but it nothing like Gran Turismo sluggy lines ;) Game looks really smooth so seems they have AWESOME AA, seems like frame rate is really really smooth, as well they added destructible bodies under grenades and explosions, and limbs come off with a SOW blade weapon ;)

Probably not, apart from scale i suppose. You should probably be nice and save the spot for someone who really wants to try the game out. ;)

All tho I love Resistance 1 and can't wait for this one, I am not going to join beta. I'm already in SOCOM and I have too many games to complete lol.. I'll play it once full game comes out!

Why is it wrong? I think some/many people get beta, play once or twice... then leve it never report back any bugs they experience, or give ideas on how to fix it...
He is right, give spot to deserving person that will keep track of all bugs he exploits.

Hmm.. I thought he meant something else
My mistake then, but what I said is true too ;)

Just saying, the game is very different from R1, and it has nothing to do with scale. A lot of the differences come from gameplay mechanics, graphics, sound (oh wow is the sound better).

A new feature has been annouced which allows integration between PS3's Resistance 2 and PSP's Resistance Retribution. I think this shows a potential winning formula for Sony if they made all PS3 and P titles interlinkable (this is also being proposed with LBP). This is possibly there biggest 1Up on 360.

You will be able to 'infect' your PSP when you hook it up and play the game with the sixaxis!!! on the TV!and you will get a new storyline new weapons etc etc, Yes kinda defeats the whole 'Portable' thing but still cool none the less, especially as the games are being made by separate dev's.

The upcoming PlayStation Portable spin-off Resistance: Retribution may not be developed by franchise creator Insomniac Games, but it will be linked to that studio's efforts in more than name.

In a post on the official PlayStation blog, Sony Bend Studios creative director John Garvin revealed a couple of ways his team's Retribution will link up with the Insomniac-developed Resistance 2. When connected to the PS3 game, the PSP running Retribution will become "infected" until the user turns it off.

While running in this mode, Resistance: Retribution will let players play through an alternate story in the game. There will also be changes to the gameplay, as the infected story gives players the ability to heal themselves and breathe underwater, as well as the chance to unlock a new plasma grenade weapon.

Additionally, when linked up to a PS3 running Resistance 2, gamers will be able to play Retirubtion using the Dual Shock 3 controller. To keep things challenging, the developers are making it so controller players will face a steeper difficulty level and won't have any auto-aim assistance. To mimic the console gameplay experience that much more, Sony Bend is also making sure players with newer-model PSPs can use the system's video-out capabilities to display the game on a TV while playing it with the PS3's controller.

Resistance 2 is set for a November release, while Resistance: Retribution is expected to arrive in the spring of 2009.

I wonder if it will work with just a Resistance 2 gamesave present or it needs the game data / disc. I think its a very cool feature!

The anticipation i have for this game is just about on par with wjat i felt before GT5:P came out.

So you can use DS3 with PSP? COOL!
So now I can aim with 2 sticks instead of one crappy one.

I'm still waiting for HUD integration using the wireless PSP. Maps, inventories, ect...., think of your PSP as your Palm Pilot for the game. That kind of integration would be cool.

What PSP support there is sounds cool, but I would like more coolness factored in. :)

Whats the multiplayer split screen going to be like on this? I know thats a less important part of games now with online play, but its something I care about now. (Unless I can get my PS3 connected to the PSN again)
