Here are the "results" from last night's NTSC race at soggy Silverstone. One is of the final "results", and the other shows the first 5 finishers, though the order isn't necessarily correct:

Again, I believe the second photo shows who the top 5 finishers were. I believe FormulaNone (Z), FastDuck, and Sumpington were in front of me. And I'm not just saying that, since Z is on my team. He set the fastest lap as I recall. I don't know in what order though.

My fastest wasn't to shabby either (1:26.978) :sly::

Of course, I didn't set the lap record. It only said that, because anybody faster (Z for example), had already disconnected.

Seems like the weather got the electronic board messed up. In the first pic I finished 1 lap behind, on the 2nd. I'm shown 2 laps behind. DaddyvDub, Lenon and Racecar are shown as N/A (which means they were still racing when the pic was taken) but still finished low in the final scoreboard.

This final positions don't reflect the actual race at all.-

I didn't see much of you or RACECAR the whole race, so I'm not sure where you guys finished. Perhaps those who raced closer to you, can help out. I do remember racing you side by side (between the 1st and last pit stops I believe), entering Stowe. We were neck and neck, I was on the outside, then you just slowly drifted into me, running me off the track. Our front tires were even, I could see yours just fine. Perhaps my widescreen TV had a better panoramic view than yours?

Nothing more I ca do at this point, its a losing battle that I lost at the start of the race. Well, on to Montreal.

NTSC DRIVERS

after discussion with our race director Ardius about last nights inconclusiveness concerning the race , this is what we came up with :

The choice is either:

Re-run the race
Ignore the race results
Try and salvage the results, but this would be close to impossible seeing as most of the drivers didn't notice they had been glitched

PLEASE RESPOND - express your opinion on this matter so we may move on , any input is very greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys 👍

Ignore the race,I dont think anyone wants to run Silverstone again. It is an ugly track and the rain just makes it really depressing not fun at all.

But if the majority want to re do race tonight is the only time I can do it this week.

I don't really care. Duck was the only one ahead of me. I then passed a respawning Mofongo and FormulaNone. Then Formula Passed me again, but I thought that was to get back onto the leap lap. I wasn't paying too much attention as I was running my first decent race of the season besides my P4 (in the rain :P in Australia).

We can't re-run the race unless everyone was there.

I would be up for redoing the race as maybe the glitch is a rare occurance seeing as I never encountered this glitch when I was doing practice before the race. I'll go with the majority though for the sake of putting this behind us.

You didn't see much of us because we were well ahead of the pack right from the start of the race. I qualify 3rd. and move up to P2 after the T1. I didn't get to see if there was any accident on T1 other than FormulaNone going wide into the grass. FormulaNone, Racecar and me had a big gap up until the 1st. pit stop. My first pit stop was 7.2 secs, came out on P7, but never regain positions, as if none one pitted. Second pit stop 7.3 secs. Only two incidents during the race. So there so no way that I could have been lapped. I'm reporting this problem at Silverstone because seems like everybody is unaware of it.

It is not necessary to re-race. I like to see my teammate finishing second, he deserves it.

I'm indifferent (yeah I know this helps). We can keep the current results, or scrap the race. I simply don't have the time during the week, to race a redo. Between this really annoying position glitch, the lag bubble, and the fact that the servers are going down, I'm really looking forward to racing you guys in the upcomming GT5 and next F1 game. I imagine we'll have a great deal of fun together, when we don't have to deal with these issues. Heck, I had fun in spite of them, but I appreciate how people get frustrated, when they get the poop end of the stick.

On to Montreal, it's one of my favs! :)👍

If everyone isn't too bothered about the results, we can also just stick with what we've got anyway.....

In another F1 tourny, all drivers agreed that without indesputable video evidence that would disprove the offical game scoring system, there were to be no arguing the final results. Without solid evidence otherwise we have to accept the game scoring system.

I think re-running the event would present the possibility of this happening all over again and it would only take something away from those who did have a decent run out there. It is what it is.. can only hope it doesn't catch us out in the remaining races.

We can all be champions at Montreal. heh

💡 ? 💡 ? 💡 ?

keep it what it says on the final game screen , no ifs, no ands, or no buts. That is what we do on our Wednesday night league , and everybody is well aware of this.It avoids confrontation. It's like the old saying goes " sometimes you eat the bear " - but - " sometimes the bear eats you "
The online gaming is not perfect , but neither are we.

YES ? NO ? MAYBE ?

Just trying ways to come up with a solution to try to prevent this from happening again , seeing as how it has happened twice now.

Hi everybody, i´m Jimmy from Spain.

Yesterday i was playing F12006 CE and i was invited by Shaggy Alonso to join your forum and your races. I think i´ll need a team, What do i have to do??

Hey Jim, send a PM to Ardius he'll help. Look at the start of this thread and see which team you'd like to join. It'll show up as only 2 slots being available, but in reality there is anything up to 5. The only team that is full is mine, Jordan.

Without solid evidence otherwise we have to accept the game scoring system.

This is not a good argument. There is not way to show evidence other than the word of the drivers. The glitch had happened before (expected or not) with no "solid evidence" and the final standings were altered. Someone was affected at Nürburgring and I was pushed back one slot, now I was affected by the glitch and arguments like the one above come up. I don't care about the final standings on either race. I'm expecting consistent judgment from the community. My opinion was to keep the game scoring at Nürburgring. I have the same position for the results at Silverstone even though I was seriously affected. Going forward, we have to options for those circuits known for having glitches: skip them or accept the game results. I don’t rally care, I race for fun.

My comments show my point of view toward certain situations that I believe we can improve upon to make the online experience much better.

Well yes it is possible to have video evidence. You can choose to record the race, many folks do it look at youtube. The first deal was quite different we KNEW what was gonna happen and it did. Just seems it happens to some more than others. My 2 cents.

And having said that I will let it go.

So who's ready for Montreal. One of my fav tracks. I was actually going to my first real F1 race this year, until it got canned. :grumpy:

Oh Yeah I love the track, very tricky though. Not in the sense of being hard but the little things here make a BIG difference. Races here often come down to pit stop times and if you can do the whole 20 without a penalty. It is not hard to run a good lap time here w/o penaltys that is .The corners will reach out and grab you here, and the penalty system is VERY unforgiving so mayby we see a new winner this week.:)
