Best of luck everyone, and remember to take it easy on the first lap, especially at turn one as it's a bit of a bottle neck. If i'm in the midfield I'm not gonna go steaming in. Remember nothing is won on the first lap but everything can be lost đź‘Ť :)

4th. +42.244 , GINTY72 - 5 pts (Red Bull)
5th. +43.277 , HEMIata - 4 pts (Williams)
6th. +1:07.873 FastDuck - 3 pts (Williams)
7th. +1:08.873 GT4genius - 2 pts (Jordan GP)
8th. +1 lap, Crooky369 - 1 pts (Team Lotus)

Phew, that was a nuts race for me at the start. Qualifying went very well I thought, I managed a 1:24.4 which i reckoned would put me near the front at least, but Jamie pulled out an absolute stonker of a lap with a 1:24.2 and took the pole. Turn 1 and 2 passed without incident for me luckily, but I got a better run out of the turn 2 and was closing in on Jamie coming up to turn 3 when I decided to ease off, but I eased off so much that rookie driver GINTY who qualified an excellent third, overtook me at t3 - a superb move!

So I was down to third and then saw Jamie got it a bit wrong at turns 6 and 7 so Ginty and I passed him. I followed Ginty and had a couple of brilliant laps of racing where somehow we managed to avoid contact altogether I believe, despite being extremely close. I finally got past him into turn one (I think?) after about 2 laps of being in each other's slipstream. I just about had my nose in front so went for it. Excelent clean racing of you Ginty to not crash into the back of me when you got the better exit. Just to confirm, we didn't make contact at any point did we? It seemed very fair to me.

From there on I noticed Ginty fell back - must have had an off or a penalty - and a titanic battle ensued between Kingmart1n and Kakundoo for 2nd place, for about 16 laps. This worked well for me as they were undoubtedly slowing each other down, which gave me breathing space to pull away from the pack.

The only time I was annoyed in this race was by Rob seemingly ignoring me as I came up to lap him, he held me up for about a lap and a half in which time i must have lost at least 4 seconds. He eventually let me through and then conveniently let through King and Kak immediately. Maybe he only just realised what he was meant to do, maybe he was trying to help out Jamie, I don't know, but I had to drive very cautiously behind him for fear of it all ending in a wreck. From there on my pace was cautious, as I tried not to pick up any penalties. I pushed in one lap and managed a 1:24.1, but then finally pushed again on the very last lap and shaved another 3 hundredths off my previous best.

Great race everyone. đź‘Ť I think there wasnt too many unresolved incidents.

I'd a good race to begin with, making my way past a few wrecks nicely, even got into second at one stage, but Shaggy slowed a lot into one corner and Hemi didnt notice us although I think we may be in with a chance at crash of the year!
Later I made what I thought was a nice move on Zeroduck, but soon realised I'd got passed him because he had no front nose cone. So maybe it wasnt such a good move. :dunce: Then everything went really well until Ginty was leaving the pits and we both met at the apex, another high speed accident, great for the fans! Not too sure who was at fault so I gave the position back after Ginty waited anyone know the official rules for that?
On that same lap my whole race fell apart, got a penalty then lost a wheel with a wall and fell back to 8th. Spent the rest of the race closing in on Crooky and Zeroduck. Caught up to them and Crooky got a penalty so I made it past him, closed in some more on Zeroduck but never got close enough and I finished in 7th 1 second behind him.

Not a great result, but a fun race. So all in all I'm happy with it.
 
Pretty eventful race for me tonight. Managed to score my first pole position of the season with a 1:24.2xx, which was 4 tenths quicker than my previous pb! :D
I went wide into the first corner, but I think because people were being cautious, so I kept the lead. I can't remember what corner it was but someone did hit me into turn 3 and caused my back wing to go orange :(. Then into turn 7, my wheels went onto the grass and as I turned, I spun the car, which caused me to lose the lead and put me into last :(
After some easy overtaking, because people were making mistakes battling each other, I managed to get up to 4th. I was at least half a straight away from GINTY as I saw him go off into turn 3, although I had to be cautious when I got up there, in case his car suddenly appeared somewhere else as it had been doing prior to this.
From there I had to try and catch up, although I didn't think I would be able to catch Shaggy, I still tried to catch up to Kingmart1n. After quite a few laps, I saw him and knew that I was gaining. However, there were times that I almost crashed into him, which resulted in me getting poor corner exits and losing ground on him.
I decided to pit a lap earlier to see if I could leap frog him (and because my back end kept swinging out because it was damaged), however, I was caught up behind GINTY again and couldn't get my time quick enough to beat King.
After playing catch up once again, I squeezed passed King into turn 4, but then noticed that he had spun. I didn't want to get the blame for this and so I waited for him, but because I had ground to a halt, he gained more ground on me. A few laps later I caught him once again, but then I crashed into him into turn 10 at the chicane and he lost his back wing. I waited again, but this time I didn't grind to a halt. We pitted again and still I wasn't ahead of him. There was even a time where we both got the same penalty on the same corner lol. I was starting to get desperate and with only just over two laps to go, I went for a risky overtaking move and managed to get passed King, without hitting into him into turn 14.
After this I pretty much just cruised home. Well done Shaggy and well done King on some good racing! :D

Hopefully with a decent first lap, I might be able to challenge for the lead in Imola instead of playing catch up :D

good race all great start for me and a nice battle with shaggy alonso then i think the nerves set in up two the first plt stop. dont no who fault it was out off the pit with gt4 then i pushed hard too finish 4th
 
Great to get back on the podium. After the start i decided to wait and let everyone past and cruise into turn one. After the first lap i was 3rd i think and then my team mate made a mistake and i was up to 2nd. I knew shaggy was to quick for me plus not a fan of the track so just tried to keep the car on the track. Then kakundoo seem to catch me up quickly. I was surprised to be ahead of him after the first pit stop but knew i had a battle on my hand. We both got penalties on T10 and he got close on T3 and hit my back tyre and gave me a flat. He let me back through then the next lap he hit my back end and crashed me out.( Would of been nice kakundoo if when you was waiting you could of given me the racing line as it was right by T11 that i went back past you). But 2 laps later he got me with a lovely past and i managed to keep my new team mate behind me to claim 3rd.



Great racing though kakundoo reminded me of frace last year.
And well done Ginty on your first race finishing 4th.
 
Bad race for me, carelessly hit someone in turn 2 by breaking to late, sorry whoever that was, which gave me a damaged front wing so I smashed my car into the wall the next turn to get it...... fixed. :lol: Then after other peoples misfortune was running in 6th with 4 laps to go and got myself a large corner cut penalty for having having half my car outside the white line in the fast chicane. :grumpy:

Yes, well done GINTY. A good solid finish and yes King, it was very like that lol. We need more races like that. Although hopefully you won't slow me up too much :P haha.

I don't think Rob was trying to help me Shaggy. When me and King passed him, he was completely off the track. He must have gone really wide into turn 1 and spun it or something. Shortly after that, he left the game, so maybe he was just annoyed about something, I do know that he hadn't practiced much all week, so maybe he was getting too many pens.

Well, on to Imola I guess. The Championship starting to heat up again, Ben and I are both close again just like last season and I think i'm going to need to pull out something special in Imola because although it's a good track, I'm not exactly that good at it. It was my first podium finish last season, but the competition has increased dramatically since then. Should be very interesting :)

At 1.32, I dont holed any grudge. We've all been there, it looked like a oh c**p, oh c**p, oh c**p BANG moment!
I think Kingmarten went wide at the turn before that and came out in front of Shaggy causing him to slow more than normal and causing me to almost stop, the rest is obvious.
 
I did say in the week to you kakundoo that i don't like that track so i was going to be off the pace.

What will the weather be doing at imola?

Sorry my mistake, must have been Ginty then.
Just saying thats what caused the squeeze not saying the shouldn't have come back on track. there was plenty of space up front then.

Yeah I think that was Ginty as he was in front of me at that point. No one did anything wrong though đź‘Ť
 
Other than getting hit 3 times by the same driver, who seemed to be waiting on me the 3rd time he hit me, i had a good race, but its kinda hard to finnish on the podium when you get took out 3 TIMES, im not going to say who it was, im just going to wait and see if they take responsibility for it. Great WIN SHAG, GT4, i was trying to let you pass when you saw i had lost my front wing, i lost my wing because of the guy that kept taking me out, thanks GT4 for racing clean.
 
Don't worry about it King. I thought I was going to be off the pace and at least down in 4th! But somehow I still managed to pull out another podium lol.

Hmm, weather. I think there is a strong chance of some good ol' sunshine in Imola. I wouldn't want the Italian fans to get wet watching what could be a very eventful and fun race :D
 
Alrighty then. I'm pretty glad that I asked Fishfash if he could be our reserve driver now :D lol. Do you think you could race next Sunday Fishfash?

I thought we had got past all this nonsense. I don't know who it is who apparently crashed into you 3 times Duck, but i'm pretty sure it wasn't on purpose. Because I don't know who this person is and don't know whether or not they waited for you, I cannot impose a penalty. However, if you proceed to try and sabotage this person's race then there will be a more harsh penalty on you. You have been warned.
You said this is for fun, so please don't turn this into something nasty.

And if I remember correctly, it was me and you who came first and second at Imola last season :), let's hope we can have a repeat result :D
 
Thanks. It's always good to hear that from a pro like yourself :). I'm going to try and do one better at Imola this season and go for the win, especially because Ben has caught up a lot in the points in the last two races lol. Although with me now starting College, I will have to find what time I can to practice.

I would love to get the G25 to see what times I could do, because tbh, I'm not too far off the pace with the pad, would be interesting.

No problem on the contact mate. And as far as the sound on the video, it may be the steering wheel I use. My camera sits on the same table that the wheel is on and it picks up all the "noises" and "vibrations" from the wheel better than the audio from the TV :lol: I am looking at making me a stand just for the camera to try to cut down on those unwanted noises :D

That's kind of like organising a 5-a-side tournament with 10 fatties, then one of them pulls out and the other team drafts in Lionel Messi as his replacement.

I'm only kidding, it'll be good to have you back on board Gyles, though I thought having Jamie, Duck, Hemi, King and now Ginty as rivals for the race victory was hard enough already :(

BTW Jamie, I think you've given Kingmart1n and Red Bull an extra point, they should be one less. That said, King does deserve an extra point though after holding you off for that long in Melbourne :cheers:
