Hmm, interesting tweak. I think that the offending car does not have to slow up to a halt and is allowed to continue at a pace that allows the victim enough time to catch up and then pass.

And as for weather, I am not entirely sure yet. I am contemplating whether it should be light rain. As I remember that was the weather last season and that shaped up to be a nice race for most.

For sure, I don't think anyone is required to stop dead on the track either, they should just dull off the revs. Kind of like Hamilton at Spa last year, only hopefully without the massive fall out.

True, that was a good race, obviously I enjoyed it as it was my first victory. Still, for Tom's sake, I think it'd be equally brilliant to have it in the dry this season, push the cars to their limits this time 👍

Tis up to you though mate.

Sounds like i missed a eventful race.lol

Well, honestly apart from that little debate, the race was pretty uneventful after the first round of pit stops I think. The field was small and pretty strung out. Will you be able to make it for the next race Marty? Does that Jamaican dude know when he'll be up and running for this? Hopefully he won't be as fast as another Jamaican that I can think of :dunce:

Sorry again for missing this race guys. Its clear to see that my sundays simply are too manic at the moment for this, I thought I would get away with it but unfortunately not. So I have to pull out. Sorry for all the hassle, hope the championship goes well.

OK that 3/4 of your car along side of another car is crap, that is exactly oppisite of what you said last week, last week you said it was the car making the pass that had the responsibility to make it clean, now your saying the car in front is supposed to move over, i had the line, you lost it when you went wide, you say i hit you and knocked you off track, its kinda funny that me and shag saw it different, Kak you flat out took me out , period, you can say what you want, but you took me out, to the rest of you guy's i'll race yall as clean as i can, Kak you are FAST, but you have no idea how to RACE, Yes i quit the race, you want to race me that way, thats fine, Im going to race you different than i race everyone else, the other racers will get the best i can give, you are going to be raced the way you race me, From my view you ran off track, i got by, and shag was right behind me. YOU came back on track, and took me out, Its your choice, either we are going to race CLEAN or we are going to crash every week

I am back now shouldn't miss anymore races at all. No i haven't heard a thing from him got to say he is brave coming into this championship if he hasn't played the game much. Hope he is like a 'BOLT' though.lol

You forget that Jamie has a team mate and and if I see you knock him off I will know that it was intentional and will race you the same if not worse and don't think that I'm bluffing because I'm not that good and don't ultimately don't care what position I end up in... your choice.

Sorry to hear that, Sizzles. I was looking forward to racing you as you were quick at the end of last season. I wont be able to make the race at Silverstone on 11th October, that I am certain of. So my race seat is up for grabs for that one. You'd be a good replacement, as would my team mate last season, Appie who I'll offer it to as well. Remember, i'm looking for more of a Mika Salo than a Luca Badoer 💡

Was the incident where you allegedly hit Kakundoo not on the previous lap? i.e. a separate incident altogether to the one where you went off? The way you word it suggests that he went off the track (he claims because of you) then immediately came back on and punted you off. I can't say I saw it that way, but I honestly can't remember everything fully. Can you tell us exactly which corner you went by Jamie (Kakundoo) on?

OK, you both need to ease off the Talladega Nights esque, macho talk. This isn't A$$car. Especially you Rob; issuing thinly veiled threats to other drivers is a sure way to get booted from this championship. You're not Jamie's enforcer and I highly doubt he would want you to be either. Disputes cannot be settled by crashing into each other at the following race. Penalties can be issued if any justice needs to be served.

Likewise Duck, I think you should watch your tone. Please don't suggest that you'll race Jamie 'differently' to the rest of us. Clearly if another incident happens between you two where Kakundoo is on the receiving end, you'll be making yourself look guilty.

Could everyone please calm down a notch? I can understand that obviously not everyone's happy, but if you could just take the time to read the previous page we've tried to clarify the rules so that there can be less disputes in the future over these types of incidents 👍

Fastduck, this is ridiculous. I have no idea what is going through your head right now, but what you're saying is rather stupid. If this continues then I will be forced to ban you from the Championship until you can have a RACING attitude, as you previously stated I did not have. Think about what you write and where it's getting you.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with this stuff anymore. Perhaps some people are once again allowing post-race frustration to get the better of them? I don't want to get too involved in this, but some of us are getting a little carried away here - this series was originally intended for fun. Ok, so its natural that we put a competitive mind to it, but when an accident happens it shouldn't be taken so seriously. Its not the end of the world.
This goes to everyone, not just FastDuck.

Before anyone comes telling me "you don't know what its like, he straight punted me!" or whatever.
I surely do know what its like and I understand the frustration. But we have to remember this is first and foremost a game. We are here for fun first, competition second. As soon as it starts to become frustrating or annoying I advise people to take a breather and relax. I myself have made several post-race comments I have later regretted or started arguments pointlessly. You just have to approach it all reminding yourself that you're meant to be playing for fun and not for frustration.

Exactly. I was hit many times during that race, but instead I just calmed down and carried on. I know last season I was a bit of a hot head when it came to collisions, but being only 16 and most other people 10+ years older, I would expect some maturity.

 LMAO

Sorry for the delay fellas but I"m changing the engine in my daughter's car. what a headache :banghead:

Ah Sepang, a track I love to hate :ouch: throw in a little unexpected rain shower and it's just not going to be a good day :grumpy:..............OK, a lot of rain  the start wasn't too bad for me and by turn 5 on the first lap I was P2 behind Rob101. Then he had an off and I was in the lead 👍 but it kind of went down hill from there. I noticed that Shaggy was catching me by about a second a lap :scared: As he got closer I started watching my mirrors......that would be mistake #1 as I had a couple of offs that allowed him to get by and with his pace there was no chance of me catching him :ouch: Then on my second pit stop I made a couple of errors that cost me about 7 maybe 8 seconds.........that would be mistake #'s 2 and 3. I overshot pit entry and got crossed up on a couple of my buttons. This allowed Kak to get by me for P2 and I had an uneventful 4 laps to finish in P3. Not too bad for a track I'm not good at with unexpected rain :dunce:

Here is the video but a word of warning, it's not much

As pj has not said if he is joining my team i have found a replacement for mark he has signed up today but forgot his password. I will get him to post something on here when he has got it.

I'm not being funny but is he a clean racer? I don't think just anyone should be introduced. So long as they're committed to clean racing and the spirit of the championship, then sure bring him on board.

If you guys are running short on people attending races I would be happy to make up the numbers for a few weeks whilst it is quiet..... 👍

Fishfash, you could be Brawn's reserve driver :D If me or Rob can't make a race, I'd rather have a Michael Schumacher reserve than a Luca Badoer XD lol.

LOL

I will most likely be a Luca Badoer though as I will be using a pad. Actually not that bad, maybe a Jaime Alguersuari pace person. :yuck:

I'm pretty sure you would do a little better than that, it's not like anything has really changed and when you did a race last season in China with the pad, you came second with the fastest lap lol. The only reason I ask is because me and Rob are starting College next week, so we never know when the work might stack up.

In other news, I am looking forward to the next race :), hopefully I can achieve another podium finish.

The weather shall be............*Drum roll*...............the same as it was for Melbourne in the real 2009 F1 Season. I'm pretty sure everyone here would have watched that and knows what that was lol.

Well, I haven't practiced as much as I had hoped to this week, and so my times still leave somewhat to be desired. Which is unfortunate because I was hoping to at least bag another podium finish. Nevertheless, I will push hard during the race, and hopefully with some consistency, I might be able to pull something off.

And just to remind everyone. Sometimes there is a glitch where the pole sitter gets put a lap behind automatically. So please keep this in mind, unfortunately, this happened to Fishfash last season, and possibly (although is debatable) that he lost the win because of it. So remember who the pole sitter is and if they are all of a sudden behind you later in the race, it's probably because they're lapping you. This may not even happen. There hasn't been much lapping in the past two races, I just want to make sure.

EDIT: You've been added GINTY, welcome :)

Melbourne is a lot shorter than the other two tracks so lapping is much more likely. I think if someone is coming up to lap you, you should move aside and slow up for them to avoid any problems. Although it should be done in an obvious place and the person lapping should not try an out braking pass due to the unnecessary risk.

I agree. I would also like to add that if you receive a penalty, I would like you to move off of the racing line. Penalties can be quite frequent at Melbourne and we don't want any unnecessary crashes if you are on the racing line when your car suddenly stops being ghost-like. You will be allowed to move back on to the racing line when you car is back to normal, but only if there isn't a car literally about to pass you, because again, it would be an unnecessary incident.

Indeed, that should be on the first page already is it not? I haven't checked but we amended the rules last season so that any car being lapped should move off the racing line and slow to let an opponent through. Everyone should be aware of this. Also, as Jamie mentioned, there is sometimes a glitch at Melbourne where the person in first place is put a lap down. So we should all be aware of this in that someone who you think you are racing for position, may actually be coming up to lap you.
