I'ts quite obvious that sony's marketing department is restraining him somewhat.

There must be things that are in the game but that PD can't or wont tell us for some reason and that could only logically be that, there not sure it's good enough to make the final cut or because sony dont wan't us to know yet

Um, unless i missed something, Night and weather are NOT confirmed and sounds like a livery editor is not either. Did anyone watch the IGN video?

Thats what he's saying. He was justing asking for DEFINITE Confirmation on all the features he listed. I too am sceptical about the source from which we learned this info from.

So in a nutshell, those who don't want to waste their money on an unfinished product should have to wait until next year?

In a nutshell, yes. "You could wait while I race" does that sound familiar?

And before anyone says not everyone wants it that way, nobody is making you buy the 65% completed game.

And if you dont have high speed internet DONT BUY IT, or take your PS3 to your friends house that does have high speed.

I still dont get your point about being unprofessional because they please their customers. Maybe you should explain that 👍

Its clear that those flying squares are rain in the future!
Different "faces" to chose from or a photo from the pseye?

I read your post, don't worry. ;) But as I said earlier, it would be a very unprofessional thing to do and not very good PR for PD either. Do I really have to explain why? :boggled:

Taking 6 years to get out the next installment on the GT series is also very unprofessional.

During that 6 yrs. finding out anything about the game, is akin to pulling teeth.

Thats also very unprofessional.

Obviously, "professionalism" isn't a priority.

No, its one of those !

You call that pleasing customers?

It is unprofessional to release an incomplete game, I think that should be quite clear.

For Pete's sake people, we've waited this long, what's a few more months?

I would be ecstatic to pay for the game now and get updates later. Making the public happy sounds like good public relations.

GT5p had 2 updates, their precedent is rather low.

Also, saying it is unprofessional is not an explanation for saying it is unprofessional.:dunce:

By the same token, you've waited this long for all the fluffy features, you can wait a few more months for that stuff, while the rest of us play the game.

See what I mean?

Except the Prologue updates were still quite small; physics changes and a new cars. What you are talking about is adding major features like damage or weather - updates that would undoubtably be a lot bigger considering they would have such a major impact on how the game works.

Also, saying it is unprofessional is not an explanation for saying it is unprofessional.:dunce:
Why do I feel like I'm going in circles? :ouch:

I'm sure you would! ;)

Why do I feel like I'm going in circles?
I'm sure you would!

First, we have been in circles because you keep quoting me and saying you will offer an explanation, yet you have no such explanation, or even tried to offer one.

Second, thanks for acknowledging that customers would be happy if they released what they have.

happy customers=good PR

suzuka debug mode ?

It's a debug of the spectator mode, and probably online. There's even a chat option, as well as diferent views. I guess nobody thought this was big, but it looks like a sign of the promised spectator feature for online.

Have anybody heard something about working reverse lights? That's all I want!:dopey:

Oh yea I've heard about em.

It will only add another 6 mos to the release time, but they'll really work good. A real professional feature like that will certainly make it worth waiting for. :dopey:

Why do I feel like I'm going in circles? :ouch:

Because thats the same circle this game keeps perpetually going around in.

I don't believe I'm alone when I say, there isn't another feature that could be added to GT5, in heaven, earth, reality, or fantasy I would be willing to wait another 6 mos. for.

Thought the same. You can see Chat (Text and Voice?), Driver, Position, Course, (Auto?), Free Run, Race, maybe a live lobby. And then those icons and numbers at the top.

why don't you two go discuss this somewhere, anywhere else. quick question, why couldn't we wish for a livery editor that's limited to sponsorship decals (only parts your car has) or numbers like in club racing?

Not a game, GT5 is a simulator

Things like a livery editor will cheapen the game down to Need For Speed level. That may be fine with you, but not me

No, it's really a game. It calls itself a simulator and it has sim-like qualities, but it really really is a playstation game, lol.

Secondly, people paint race-cars in real life! I can sympathise with your concerns about GT losing its class. Part of me feels exactly the same, and I don't want to see tasteless, tacky abominations any more than you, but I have faith that the majority of good, clean players who I'll be mixing with will have decent taste. I myself have good intentions to use the livery editor wisely, and I really hope we get it. 👍

Those blocks on the TV are not different weather, just when you make a photo or vid of those screens, you see them.

No, in the video there is a scene where the blocks are moving the whole time on the screen.
