Standard Clean OLR Rules:
  • 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • The yellow line is the track boundary, any part past the yellow line (asphalt or not) is not part of the track
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind, God will strike you down with a bolt of lightning if you do
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules
  • Clutch is prohibited

It's a great picture, for sure- but as a small matter of correction, that's actually my uncle Spyrrari :embarrassed:
 
5 laps seems so short now!
Played around with some different cars tonight, settled on the F40 for now just for the pure driving pleasure.

Had some good close races with BlacqueJacques at the end of the night 👍 I had to use the side windows a bunch to keep an eye on him.
 
My cali is always ready for Fuji:)

I gave it a try this morning with a japanese guy and we've manage 8:19:5xx overall.Not bad for a start.
 
Well I have a lot of work to do as my BluRay disc drive stopped working and I have had to download GT5P. But to make things worse I have really had to start all over as my Game data had some how been erased. Oh well, the fun starts over again.
 
I played with a few cars and have settled on the Tuned Skyline at the moment. Averaging mid to high 1:39's with it currently. The car is faster if I could just put the power down coming out of the corners. Thing wants to snap around if you give it too much gas.

Stinging Nettles sent me a message saying I break too early! So I told him to check out the GTPlanet's racing ettiquette/rules :)

I still haven't figured out how to change the side view buttons (d-pad) to the two steering wheel buttons on my G25 (currently left steering wheel button gives me rear view) ! :dopey:

Also raced with jpro001 (?). Still using the GTR 07 though have tried the california; going to look for specific Fuji tunes.

I like this format as you can get in 4 races per hour and there is plenty opportunity to have some heated racing, especially with a good sized grid.

Still some punters, Sigmeunde? from DE is still a rammer but less successful on Fuji.

That first turn of the start sure is a scramble at times!

Biggest disappointment is sometimes have the grid are drifters :yuck:; wish they chose 'odd' numbered start times (e.g. :01)

Will be back on tonite as NHL does not resume until Friday as my Habs pulled of the upset over Washington's Alexander the Great Ovechkin :):):):)
 
Some good races just now featuring El_Z, Spy, Spawnblack and IsmokeGT. Sorry if I was a bit slow in my vette, tried a few cars but that seems the best suited for my driving. Looking forward to participating in some more and becoming more competitive :cheers:

This is my setup (in sooth, it's from a friend) for G25/G27.

Yesterday I did two races, first driving the F599, but as Clios were invincible I changed it for the California, best lap 1:40.1 (without slipstream)

EL your car reminds me the suzuka battle clio-cali VS lotus:sly:
to fast at the corners to slow at the straight line:)
I also improve my overal time 8:16:5xx with best 1:38:502.

I'm using a DFP, so the D-pad is right on my wheel.
 
Had some entertaining racing tonight with El Zissou, R1600, CarlPKY, jpro01, BlacqueJacques, (sorry to those names I forgot) and the infamous Sigmeund.

I wouldn't say it was good racing for the most part, but it was entertaining.

Thanks for the chat invite El Z, it was nice to be able to vent between races 👍

I'm going to play with some different cars and tunes to break into the 1'39's hopefully, the best so far is 1'40.3xx in clean air with the 599.

Maybe we think about the same guy..But he is down to 8.17 too.. Best for me so far is 8.22.102 with R8 total time. Easy to loose a lot off time in first corner, when 12 cars bump around...
