hmmm.. from the Top Gear website comes pictures of a Ferrari 612 GTO concept, done by an independent (NON-Ferrari) designer, based on what he thinks a GTO version of the 612 Scaglietti would look like.

The interesting part is that one of the pictures shows the car on track (in Tokyo I think) in GT5.

More info about the designer, Sasha Sepilov, and more pics of the (literally) unreal 612 GTO: http://www.angrycardesigner.com/

If i didnt know anything about the upcoming GT5, and didnt know better that the Ferrari 612 GTO CONCEPT isN'T in the game, i would have sworn this photo wasn't shoped.

To be honest, it looks very real... (but i know it is not, thanks for my presence on GTP)

This is very well done! 👍 very good job by that perseverant designer (who seems to desire working so much for Ferrari (who wouldn't) )

PS: Design is great! one of the best i have seen around... but isn't Italian enough...
At least it's better than the Lamborghini concept by another designer...

MODE OFF TOPIC : OFF

They are clearly photoshops...

But thats the first time i've seen a proper image of the car and wow, that's the best looking car Ferrari have made in a long time, in my opinion.

Will it be in GT5? I have my doubts. But GT has always included concept/pre-production models so there is a chance.

If you have doubts, I have bigger doubts. Maybe as DLC. But I could wait until GT6.

I honestly think the 3D launch is going to bring GT5 sooner than fall.

I'm sure they are going to need a AAA title to drive the 3D sales from a gaming point of view.

I personally can't afford a 3D tv at the moment and to be honest I am not that bothered about it.

However I can't see them launching the 3D service with just a whole load of rehashed PS3 games to play on it.

I'm with you on the TV part. However, I would like to believe your last sentence there, but remember when the PS3 first released? One of the launch games was Fight Night Round 3, which is a rehash of the PS2 version. So they have shown laziness before and might do it again :indiff: But I sure hope you are right dude.

People aren't complaining just because of the fact 3D is included, but because it will take extra time to implement, and keep GT5 out of our hands for just that much longer. Most people probably won't use it, and I would rather them give us the game, then make it 3D via DLC, if that's possible.

3D is already built in to GT5, Sony isn't releasing it until after these major motorsporting events and E3. Why do it before when you can gain hype and advertising from the biggest race in the world- LeMans? Sony and PD aren't stupid. But people here fret like they'll never play GT5, damn. Patience is the key to existence, a famous proverb some here should consider. Like that saying, good things come to those who wait.

Er....yes, although the waiting part has probably already been signed off quite a long while ago, now let us have the good bit....it's overdue in my opinion ( and I do patience quite well in general ;)).

A bunch of complainers on that site/board. Waahh, we don't 3D! Waahh, like some of the posters here. Who cares if it has 3D or not, it's not like you have to go get a 3DTV. 3D is the big thing now, Sony is the first to cash in on 3D gaming, good for them, it'll explode, mark my words.

Exactly they arnt forcing you to go get a 3DTV to play GT5 its just an added bonus if you do have/get one. I for one just game on a couple year old LG 37" 720p TV at the moment so ill be in the market for a new TV in the next 12 months and since im at the age right now where my income is disposable yeah ill be looking for a 3DTV if it takes off, and then ill be thanking GT5 for future proofing itself :)

I just want GT5. Could not care less about 3D at this time.

But I do think it was or is the biggest reason for it's "delays".

So 3D support is there, E3 and LeMans too, give us a release date already. And stick to it.

Please?

They never gave a release date before. The March 2010 was only mentioned a little bit, but pushed back because AMERICA wanted better damage. So blame it on us. Not PD. Damage was going to be done better so maybe that's what the push back was for. 3D was probably always going to be apart of the game. But now Sony's 3DTVs will be out later this month for sale? Yeah and 3D on PS3 Tomorrow? GT5 shouldn't be too far behind.
