I will make this quite plain and please excuse my lack of patience, but the boards are more than full of noise and nonsense of late.

What you say is possibly clear to those for whom English is a first language. However we have a significant number of non-English speaking members here at GT Planet for whom is it often far from clear.

I'm fairly certain that your own ability to discretely break down the exact nature of Croatian is far from perfect, so make allowances for those who may not speak English when you post.

Please note that this is not advise, rather it is instruction. I am more than busy enough without a discussion on what is and is not acceptable here when posting.

I would also advise laying off the 'fan-boy' insults, argue the point not the person.

I totally understand what you are saying and respect your position, but these are English speaking forums, and the AUP insists that posts are made in English. I am therefore not accountable for people coming here and whose first language is not English. I actually have very good written skills, and in this particular case, I feel it's pedantic to argue the difference between interpreted fact versus opinion.

Anyway, I have taken on board what you said and you can rest assured that this post marks the end of this little side-chapter.

Cheers 👍

A very large number may think I'm mad for the following, but I was rather pleased to see the Mazda Autozam AZ-1 listed as Premium (well P/S), always loved that little car.

Spend a fortune on tuning it up (and it does end up being a fortune) and its a hoot to drive, well it was in GT4.

Oh, nice! I didn't notice it.
I wonder why the Honda Beat isn't Premium, since the AZ-1 and the Cappuccino are. They were all competing one against each other back in the time.

Wow, actually comprehending a post and taking advice onboard.

TokyoDrift never used to do that.

As for the case about rather having the game without standard cars, i don't get it. You can race with them, race against them, and they are meant to have the same driving physics engine as premiums, including mechanical damage.

From anything but cockpit view, they are near enough the same. In all the videos i've seen, they don't bring down the quality of the game, and the general player won't easilly notice any difference at all.

To all those opposed standard cars, how many of you are actually going to be using cockpit view anyway? Tokyodrift won't be. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=3947666#post3947666

👍

- Better rims

Thats really nice ! its premium from this view !!

2 Quick questions:

Firstly, when you are actually playing the game, in the dealerships menu, does it say which cars are premium and which are standard, so you don't have to keep referring to the website.

Also how comes some cars are listed as both premium and standard.

Thanks

Ya but is a VW bus something you would want to race in a video game? I feel like it does all those things in real life, but in a video game its just useless. Majority of people will drive it a few times and never touch it again. An S5 on the other hand. oh boy

Ya, I mean sure you might have a few hardcore car nuts who fall in love with the bus, but 99% of the people would hate the idea of driving one.

I for one love the inclusion of the VW bus, and I'm not even a Volkswagen aficionado, and I don't care whether 99% of the people don't like it (which I doubt it will be that much who don't like it, it has universal appeal).
Having fun driving or racing in a videogame can be achieved without all out speed you know, it's fun for reasons not related to high performance.

Or the Schwessorwagons (or however it's spelled).

One more time people, how hard can it be? Kübelwagen and Schwimmwagen.
K-Ü-B-E-L und S-C-H-W-I-M-M wagen...

Hard as the first two (the same) lines/sentences of the Lambada song.

Everybody I know interpret it differently.

There is just no consesus about "chorando se foi quem um dia so me fez chorar".

Same with the both Wagens :D

Don't quote me on this as I'm not 100% sure, but based on what I've read, I get the impression that the dealerships themselves contain premium cars only. The standard cars are all in the used section, which explains why you can get some that are premium, and some that are used.

Like I said though, I'm not sure.

That Accord does look very nice, i could mistake that for premium in a quick glance, but then why does that look nice and yet the Micra look so bad?
IMHO the accord looks so good because is black while the micra is electric blue and has labels on that show much more the old-gen textures and details, the black color covers up a lot of the low-def parts of the car
BTW it looks really well, absolutely

I actually dont think you'll see the difference between a Standard and a Premium if you aren't driving them. Even though the Premiums are more detailed, I'm guessing if you aren't actually driving it a lower LOD will probably kick in and drop the premiums to standard quality anyway, to keep framerates reasonable.

None the less, without a cockpit or at very least a hood view, the standards are dead to me :P

I'm really hoping GT5 has physics on par with modern PC sims, if it does it will be awesome.

Mmm, might be yet another mistake then...
Yeah, it's definitely Premium and I see no reason why they would scrap it and include the Standard version instead.

It also looks better than the other Standards because it doesn't have tinted windows.

I totally agree!👍
I loved the AZ-1 and I didn't know it was premium, forgot to look at.
This is great; The GT-X FC, AZ-1, and 2 FD's are premium. :embarrassed:. It's going to be awesome.

Holy molly Amar, how old are you? Lambada isn't popular since the coal powered computer.

Just a sample of premiums that I personally can't wait to drive. I am officially blocking out the trolls and haters now. I finally gave the car list a thorough peek and am MORE than happy about this.

I don't know if this picture has been really looked at but it is not very pretty imo. The tow hook on the looks like it was just stuck in there with tape. And the front license plate.
The wheels look really good I am assuming all standards will have a premium style wheel which is great. But as for that screenshot on the Nissan where it is GT on the door does not look pretty either.
But I am glad you can see the driver a lot more clearly.

I don't know where you have been the last 5 months, but certainly not here, that's for sure.

You know why the windows are blacked out, don't you?

Seriously? I know it is a standard, I know I'm in the "standard vs. premium thread.

The reflections and the wheels look beautiful but everywhere there is supposed to be a curved line you see a 90 degree angle, and look at the number plate. On the standard car. Don't hate.

Maybe it's just that one picture.

i like very much how the standard look for....
yes, premium wheels could give them a rich detail more, i really don't understand how they could have remove them for standard car.

Sorry I was going to say, you wouldn't want to be seen dead in one.

Joke.

No I am going to drive them, hell I'm gonna try and get every car, there are plenty of great cars in this game and if PD is going to give me the option to drive all of those great cars I will gladly give in to their demands and drive them :)

King don't you sleep?

How can I have been waiting for this game for ever the next days are going to be the worst, also my little girl goes to school so I take her, and O own my own business so I work on my schedule its the life. 👍

JDMKING I never realized you're in Edison lol like 20 minutes from me. Basically neighbors in the grand scheme of GTP.

I can't sleep well either because of this game. But I've always had sleeping problems. Damn garbage trucks with their loud-ass beeping at 9am.

I personally am glad that standards are in, more to drive. And I knew that they weren't going to be as detailed as premium cars, hell, even the GT site said so. But they don't look that bad.
