Wow what a fantastic turnout!!! Congratulations to all drivers making this by far the most succesfull WRS week! (if I'm not mistaken). Also special congratulations to all the podium winners and to JoshMuggo who must have driven a stellar T3 and took the crown 👍

I'm happy with my placing there in the end. 12th and 2 tenths faster than the average statistical slowest silver time :) Once again well done all

I'll post a replay as soon as feeling returns to my face and I'm getting about normally again, surgery will do that to you. The pain is steadily increasing as the anaesthetic wears off.:(
I hope you'll get rid of the pain soon 👍

My replay will be uploaded later this week ;)

For a newcomer [appreciate constructive critiques] to GT, I got lucky [time good for me] using Ramon's tune. Week 2 will be back down to earth!

Crosses fingers no "dirties" are seen!!!!

Disclaimer: :nervous:'ness and some wide turns caused by G27 mounted on an unstable Tablemate!! :scared:

Edit: Just saw the 2 :tup:s in post #1. Thanks, Vaxen! Hope they were deserved!

There are some really competitive guys on here! I could have tweaked and tuned that Camaro until the end of days and wouldn't have managed to get close to the top 10. 👍

Anyway, I hope this replay-thing works. :scared:

cheers

Is the handicap figure relative to my own handicap or the mean in my class?

Edit: Nevermind, I actually looked at the figures and found the answer.

Congratulations to all and especially the organisers. Great job.

Fantastic to have such a vast amount of submissions!! I'd like to congratulate all who submitted and made this success possible

Special mention to Josh, Sutuki and Ramon for their amazing times, as well as to all other division winners 👍

Unfortunately I didn't get to running this event again, so I ended up where I deserved... :P Hope to be able to spend more time this week and see you all again as well :sly:

Will get around to watching the faster guys tonight to see where I lost so much time. Didn't get on with the combo, but very good learning experience of the track and the new wheel.

Congrats to all the winners and to everyone who met their target.👍

Looking good guys, can't wait to see how a fair in the next event. I'll try and check some of your replays now.

EDIT: GTP_Sureshot: clean 👍

I can't really offer any advice for you lap , I would have though you could cut turn 2 for some extra time though.

Thanks, I hated Turn 2 throughout, never got comfortable and constantly understeering, I need to watch the D1G guys through there.

Hi all. Here's my replay.(NTSC)
Not much to look at and now I can see where I lost considerable time.
Pretty frustrating and pretty fun. Learned a bit about tuning for sure.
Congrats to all. Really enjoyed my first ever WRS.

Thanks, I hated Turn 2 throughout, never got comfortable and constantly understeering, I need to watch the D1G guys through there.

Even though my T1 was rubbish, I'm pretty sure my sector 2 was close enough to the fastest times to be relevent (19.263 elapsed).

Using Ramon's tune I was cutting the slight right before the left hairpin (left wheels on the rumble), braking hard over the rumble strip on the right, then turning in very hard and changing down to 2nd off the brakes at the same time (or with only a slight trail brake)... the change down to 2nd would cause a big initial oversteer, pointing the car at the apex, after which I'd immediately change up to 3rd, wait for the car to settle and then progressively pick up the throttle.

I never cut the insde on this corner as I found it just prevented getting back on the gas early as the inside is super slippery.

The key for me here was getting the change down to 2nd at the right moment to induce the oversteer.

Thanks Chris, I'll go and test it, I had myself positioned as you mentioned, but not using the 2nd gear to induce some oversteer.

Unfortunately I didn't get to running this event again, so I ended up where I deserved... :P
In some way we're glad you didn't, you made our life easier. :P

Congrats to the winners and podium finishers, special mention goes for JoshMuggo's amazing last sector. 👍

I did 250 kms for this WRS first event until I got my lucky lap, 50 (or so) of those kms were for car settings testing.

Congrats to everyone who posted their times!

I've been pretty inconsistent and went with best lap that has worse T1 and T2 times than splits on Leaderboards.

But I've been gathering replays from top guys and stealing knowledge ;)

Here's my replay! Hope everything is by the book. Any comments appreciated!

Really interested to see how the multitude of replays will be checked in the course of the week ...

I can't upload my replay until next Monday as I am on skiing holiday in Norway - hope that doesn't take too long, otherwise my submission for the past week can be striked out.

Really hope I willl find the time to give week 2 an effort as I do very much like both car and track 👍

Completely forgot to submit 👎 Got busy with Sim Mode last weekend. Congrats guys!

From what I have now been reading, I can only submit my own results using my login name and my son must login separately in order to submit his results. Is this correct?

Yes, you will need to be sure the submission is from the account that has the corresponding GTP_Tag. The Fetchbot checks to be sure the submission is from a registry member. You will not be able to submit for multiple registry ID's from one account, since the registry ID needs to match the account ID.

On a similar topic, has the handicap system been explained or is it a secret!

There was some conversation on the Handicap in the registry discussion thread. The exact calculation is a secret, as the initial calculation was based on the qualifier times (Which are not being made public).

Your handicap will update over time, based on your performance, and it's intended as a relative measure of your progress (Or lack of progress).

I expect that replays are going to take a little longer than the normal week this week.

In the early days of GT5 WRS, we'll be requesting more replays than the normal amounts.

Not a problem that you can't get yours on here until next Monday.

Here is my replay...
Anybody interested in my car settings, pm me
I'll keep the car as is, as a reminder for week 1
