If the race started 1 hour earlier (8:30pm Eastern) would you participate?

Lol really unusual line for me at the first turn, but i escaped from the traffic :sly:

For next monday i think you'll see me again, i'm a db9 lover.

yes my times were slower than practice like some of you ,I was driving not to spin and very conservative in the turns , but the race was very impresive for me , thanks to benda to organize this event.

what I saw is most of the cars were faster in the straight than mine, all the cars were identical in pp or hp ? I raced the car all stock no mods .

Stock for me too, only the oil change, and even if was permitted i don't even had the rigidity improvement mod...Just settings on downforce and suspension

I was running 1:48's consistently in the practice laps, minutes before race start. The race started, my car felt completely different and i think my BEST lap during the race was a 1:53.xxx under the best conditions with fresh tires and no traffic. I have no idea how or why a connection issue would affect my lap times, but something doesn't feel right. It feels like i have TCS at 1 in practice and 0 during the race, when the setting is 0 all the time.

EXACTLY what happened to me. anlo i had awd so the tsc really didn't make a difference, i was just all around slower. i was pushing untill i was plowing into the corners and still only came up with a 1:52.999 or somthing in the race, best lap online as a 1:46.243 and consistently run 1:47's or 1:48's :ouch:

oh well, its over i'm not going to cry about it. i had a neat race with snoopykuan who dissapeard for a bit because of our different pit times but i managed to be slightly faster. good race everyone.

Solidaxle, yeah I enjoyed racing with you. How many pit stops did you make? I stopped twice. After holding you back for a few laps, when I made a mistake and let you through, I decided to pit early (think it was 16 laps in). Then I was just racing by myself and getting lapped by everyone. Ha. Finally saw you again at the end of my first stint, but by then my tires were worn (again) so could not race with you.

While the race was frustrating personally because I thought I was faster, it was still fun as other people were in the same boat. I wish the game will tell me the gap to the person in front and behind me.

I only stopped once, as soon as I got past the halfway mark of the race. We saw some pretty interesting pit strategies when it was the big supercars at Rome shredding their tires, but things were a little more tame with the lower-HP cars at Fuji.

The best race we've done re: pit strategies has to be EVO vs. Sti @ Eiger. Eiger's pit lane is crazy long and it added something like 2 minutes to your normal lap just to pit.

Goddamn, the Jaguar XKR's engine whine makes it sound like a jet taxiing when you're behind the wheel. I'm going to have to go download a white noise generator or something to cancel that out or I'm going to go insane over a long race.

Finding a good combination of rear aero, engine power, and added weight is pretty fun as try to get er in under 515 pp.

Just an FYI for everyone - I've made a couple of changes to the "Upcoming Races" listed in the 1st post.

The biggest thing you'll notice is that Monday Night Endurances will end as an event after the May 2nd race. I'm choosing to end the event basically for 2 reasons:

1) I don't game much during the warmer months. Spring is already breaking a bit here in southwest Ohio and I'm looking forward to spending more time outdoors. Originally I had planned on making the last race May 23 but since I'll be in California for the May 9th and 16th races, it didn't seem like a good idea to skip 2 weeks then come back and have a final race. Too much momentum (and interest) would've been lost I feel, from both you the participants and myself.

2) The limited free time I have during the week is hurting the quality of the races. This event has grow from a one-time-only event into a weekly race. To be completely honest I totally enjoy organizing it every week; it's extended my joy of playing GT5 greatly. And although there's a great deal of input from everyone here that goes to making MNE a fun event, I'm beginning to feel that the limited free time I have during the week is hurting the quality of the races.

When I started MNE there weren't that many quality organized events around, especially during the week. So it didn't really matter if one week's race was off a bit because everyone was happy just to be racing. Now it seems like you can find a quality league or casual event every night of the week. Some of these are so successful that they're going to 2 nights per week. To me it's crazy that we're now going head-to-head with another event when just 2 months ago I couldn't find a decent event to join at all (which is why I started this in the first place).

We still have 6 more races to go and I'm looking forward to each and every one of them, and I'll be giving all my effort to make them as fun as possible.

Benda, thanks for organizing these races. The endurance races are the most fun I have had online or in the game. While I have only raced 3x, I do not feel like the quality of the races has suffered.

By the way, I think the Laguna Seca event you linked is actually in the afternoon as they are on GMT time. It is impossible for me to join due to work.

Looking forward to the remaining races too.

I'm glad to know that people are having fun, I am too. Racing with the likes of NingDynasty and CIAFlux (and many others too) has been humbling, to say the least. I work my 🤬 off for lap times that are 10 seconds off what these guys can do, it's crazy.

...I do not feel like the quality of the races has suffered....
I was disappointed with how last week's race went off. There were so many gamplay issues (lack of even GT300 cars, practice vs. race lap time differences). I didn't write the code for the game so I know it's not may fault, but it's been kinda getting to me over the past few days. Regardless though I've been planning on walking away sometime in May or June because as I said earlier I just don't game much during the warm months - I'd rather be outside.

I'm not at all opposed to passing the torch to someone else who wants to continue the event. PM me if you're interested so we can chat.

PS: if you've been remote-racing my b-spec drivers over the past few weeks, thanks! I'm making like $1M Cr. / day because of it.

I'm sad to hear that, Benda, but thanks for running this! MNE has been a great introduction to GTP racing for me, and I've not only had a lot of fun racing with you guys but have also learned quite a bit in the process. Anyway, May is a month away, so I'll see you all Monday!

Volvo 240 GL Estate Wagon is now available in the Online Car Dealership. Wouldn't be a bad idea for everyone to pick one up on the cheap since you'll be able to use it for the Family Transport Race on May 2. In fact I'm thinking that there probably won't be any Premium cars eligible for that race.

I should start making a list of eligible cars so that people have time to pick them up from the UCD. And no, the 550 HP Audi RS6 Avant wagon will not be eligible for this race.

LOL Mother's Day SUV-Station Wagon-MiniVan shootout... Double-LOL I'M IN with my Pink Minivan!

Tentative list of Mothers Day / Family Transport Race-Eligible Vehicles.

Standard Vehicles:
* Volvo 240GLT Estate '88 (118HP)
* Honda Odyssey '03 (157HP)
* Chrysler PT Cruiser '00 (142HP)
* Scion xB '03 (107HP) - not really a mom car. just slow
* Volkswagen Typ2 (T1) Sambabus '62 (32HP)
* Lexus IS 300 Sport Cross '01 (216HP) ???

Benda, what about: Legacy wagon; Range Rover, FX and other big SUVs?
I thought about the Legacy wagons but they all have 276HP. That's quite a bit more than an Odyssey or a Volvo Estate. Certainly don't want to have everyone racing the same vehicle. I guess you could allow them to race with the power limiter option. It's even worse for the SUVs. The FX45 is 357HP, Range Stormer is 334HP.

The list is definitely NOT comprehensive at this point, and we still have 5 weeks to figure it out. Post up ideas if you have them and I'll add them to the list. Also, I've been buying up vehicles specifically for this race that I need to add when I startup the PS3 next time.
