Can you pause a download of one of the games?

I don't want to start downloading one and have it going when I have an online race to run.

Yea, it's unbelievable damn slow. Currently 5 mb in 15 minutes here. :crazy:

I think i'll give it in one week again a try. I am not stupid and idle my PS3 for a full freakin' week just to download 4 gb! Oh god Sony, you guys won't never learn it, eh?! :dunce:


PS: if you get booted back (Error ...) & you can't find the free games again, here is a tip:

Q: I no longer have the option to choose my free Welcome Back games. What can I do?
A: If you navigate away from the Welcome Back section of the store without choosing your free games or exit the store completely you may need to follow the below in order to choose and download your free games.

  • On your PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Portable navigate to the PlayStation Network icon on the XMB
  • Log into your PlayStation Network account and choose Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List
  • Choose “PlayStation Network Promotions” from the list of services displayed
  • Select either “PS3 Free Games” or “PSP Free Games” and then choose “Select Content”
You will be taken to the store to choose your remaining free games.

Downloading stops automatically if you start a game. 👍

Both?

Wipeout is one of the Free games, Burnout is a PSN+ game. Just DL both but play Burnout first as it's only yours for 30 days.

Also, got 4 of the games(All except Stardust), yay having a GTP account as well as my usual one.👍
 
Am I the only one not to have bothered with the Plus offer? Seems kinda pointless to me, not paying for it so anything I get will be useless in 30 days. :confused:

Well one thing cool about the 30 day + membership is that you can take advantage of all the associated game discounts. So like, ummm, Overlord (or w/e the new RTS offering is) is like $5 or $10 off the list price to + members. So even with the WBP freebie if you buy that, or any game you actually pay money for, it will still be yours to keep even after the 30day trial ends. So that is still kinda a big deal to keep in mind. 👍

Sorry, pretty sure Sony thought of this. The WBP is only available to accounts created somewhere around April 21, 2011 (or before). It's noted in the fine print somewhere.

Just confirmed, it IS 04/21/2011.

:lol:. Just about everyone is... the servers are getting hammered with this Welcome Back Package stuff. Just stay persistent and be patient, getting it to work takes some effort. But it WILL work 👍.

Yep I always get a 80 ....etc error like 50 times a minute but I just return to the screen before and click which ever menu I want again.
 
Guys!!! Please, I'm really needing help here.

Apparently, and due to the stupid errors still persistant in PSN Store (Way to go Sony...👎), I've lost one of my free games. Here's how it happened:

I went directly to the "Free PS3 Game 1" and instead of selecting the first icon I selected directly inFamous. When I clicked on "Download Now" for inFamous, it took me to the "Free PS3 Game 1" thingy I had to get first. I clicked "Get Now" and got it. Then, one of the stupid "An error due to our rampant mediocrity and incapability of doing things right, bla, bla, bla, 🤬" happened. I got back to the store to try and get inFamous back but I only had available "Free PS3 Game 2" and the two PSP ones. I then did it right for downloading Little Big Planet and now I, happily, have it in my downloads list (Because, again, a stupid #008##### error ruined the download). But inFamous was nowhere to be seen. Search function wasn't working, it wasn't on my downloads list, and the "Free PS3 Game 1" icon is gone. I tried with the PSP games (I had nothing to lose there, I don't have a PSP) and did the same, download the main "Free PSP Game 1" and quitting before choosing a game. I did it both times with the same result: losing the game.

Does anyone know a workaround to this??? Am I 🤬??? Please guys, take note and do not make the same mistake!!! Stupid Sony have done this all wrong...thanks for, well, Little Big Planet (:D) and for nothing else 👎.

So I am using a friends account to download another two games, now when I install these, what do I do with his account/user on my PS3? Can I play all 4 games on my original account? Thanks

I'm also wondering about the bolded above, I have my downloads ready to leave on autoshutdown tonight, can I use them all on my main account? Or must I use the account I downloaded that game on to play it.

You can play them on any account on the system. I downloaded LBP and Wipeout on my main and Infamous and Dead Nation on my GTP and all 4 are playable on both.

Jeez....thanks, I definitely overlooked that. Was so hot-headed at the moment (I really want to play inFamous!!! Looked like a great game when I tried it a couple hours earlier at a friends place) that I didn't looked the posts above. Thanks for the solution, but if I may suggest, it would be a good idea copying it into the first post that way no other idiots like me will make the same comment. Again, thanks and please accept my apologies :).

Also, weeeeeeeeee Little Big Planet :D.

Yeah I guess they have done that to stop people creating loads of multiple accounts right now. I feel kinda sorry though for those who bought a PS3 in the last month and can't benefit because they are likely to have signed up after the cut off point.

All my downloads went really quick, Infamous took the longest and that was only an hour. I was quite suprised considering how rammed the servers must have been.

I wish mine only took an hour, started at 10:30 am and it is still only on 66% 12 hours later!

No wonder I am anxious about consoles moving from disc formats to download only games. And why 'the cloud' just seems like a bad idea.....
